9 Objectives 1. To evaluate the efficacy of VECTORMUNE FP-MG compare to Antibiotic treatment in: MG protection Vertical Transmission to DOC 2. To determine economic benefits of VECTORMUNE FP-MG compare to Antibiotic treatment.

19 MG ELISA (Mean) Titer - IDEXX Positive level >1,100 unit Based on Mean titer, at wk 55, Antibiotic and VTM FP-MG group turned positive with 1,197 and 1,205 ELISA unit respectively.
20 % Positivity of MG ELISA Titer At wk24 and 43, each represent only 4% positivity of the overall samples taken. Hence, this may not indicate the overall flock status. At wk 53, % of seropositive in VTM FP-MG group remained 4% while in Antibiotic group, % of seropositive increased to 8%, this may indicate early sign of seroconversion due to infection few wks earlier. Following this, we could see at wk 55, 40% and 53% respectively in Antibiotic and VTM FP-MG group turned positive, hence confirm the flocks were infected with MG probably at wks (assuming seroconversion of MG takes 6 wks)
21 PCR Result Suspected age where flock may infected with MG (based on MG serology) Age of Sampling Sample VTM FP MG group Antibiotic group WK 27 WK 31 WK 35 WK 39 WK 43 WK 48 Wk 53 WK 61 DOC Neg Neg PIP Neg Neg DOC Neg Neg PIP Neg Neg DOC Neg Neg PIP Neg Neg DOC Neg Neg PIP Neg Neg DOC Neg Neg PIP Neg Neg DOC Neg Neg PIP Neg Neg DOC Neg Neg PIP Neg Neg DOC Neg Neg PIP Neg Neg Studies shows that possible Vertical transmission (transovarian/ Egg Transmission) are: 3 6 wk Post Infection : ~25-50% of eggs 8 15 wk Post Infection :~3 5% Based on serology, assuming the infection was in wk 48-49, hence, important to see that PCR result of DOC and PIP at wk 48, wk 53 and wk 61 in VTM FP-MG group is NEGATIVE.

25 Conclusion Vectormune FP-MG: is proved to be effective in protecting broiler breeder against MG and preventing Vertical Transmission to DOC. gave better Production performance and Economic Value as compare to Antibiotic treatment. is a perfect alternative for Antibiotic in prevention of MG.
