2 2 Who Is It For? The 2016 CIVT On-line Conference is for veterinarians and veterinary technicians/nurses who have an interest in and/or practice holistic veterinary medicine. The veterinary community is perfectly positioned to link the important concepts of animal health, conservation, human health and environmental sustainability helping to lead the way to a brighter future of sustainable Health Care. The theme of One Health is the focus for the 2016 CIVT On-line Conference and we aim to expand the reach and impact of our Healing Community as we explore the power of natural agents, used in balanced and intelligent ways, to create, transform, maintain and recover health. How Does It Work? Live lectures will be scheduled at specific times over the period of October 21st to October 26th. As the conference has a global audience, the schedule will be provided in a number of time zone alternatives, but you may need to convert this for your particular place of residence. All conference registrants will receive a unique login which allows them to access the conference hall (within mycivt). At the time of lectures you log-in and click appropriate links to access live lectures. ALL LECTURES ARE RECORDED! Within a few hours of the live presentation, a link to the recording will be available in the conference hall. These recordings will be available for 12weeks until January 6th, You can watch and re-watch lectures any time during this period - at times that suit YOU.

3 3 What About Questions? Because the live lecture schedule is quite tight, we provide an on-line forum where you can post questions and receive a written response. These will be able to be viewed by all conference participants and are an excellent resource and discussion area. The forum will be closed from December 23rd until January 3rd. Is It Valid for Continuing Education Credits? You need to check CE acceptance with your state board. All lectures will be CIVT accredited and 11 hours will have RACE accreditation (you will be required to answer some multiple choice questions to gain RACE CE hours). There will also be IVAS accredited lectures. Affordability and Convenience At just $249USD (cheaper than 2015) for CIVT full veterinary and associate members the conference is great value. The major bonus - you can access the lectures, at home or work, at a time that suits you (MP4 format). Please consider a $10 donation when you register CIVT will match this amount and donate the total to American Holistic Veterinary Medical Foundation in November. More About AHVMF #HealingCommunity The Foundation was established to receive and administer funds for research and education in all aspects of integrative medicine, especially as it pertains to that part which is called variously, holistic, alternative, or complementary veterinary medicine, or CAVM. The Foundation concentrates on 3 aspects: scholarships for veterinary students who are interested in this branch of veterinary medicine, research in this aspect of veterinary medicine, and support for the use of and education in this branch in veterinary schools.
