Handel is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist and Veterinary Chiropractor as well as a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner.

2 KEYNOTE SPEAKERS HEALTH SEMINAR: Canine Acupuncture Dr. David Handel attended Cornell University, where he received his Bachelor s of Science degree, and Auburn University, where he received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Handel is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist and Veterinary Chiropractor as well as a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner. He received acupuncture certification by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society in June He completed over 150 hours of education in veterinary acupuncture and herbal therapy. Dr. Handel is certified in Veterinary Chiropractic by the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association. He successfully completed a 210-hour intensive course at Options for Animals. Dr. Handel received his certification in Canine Rehabilitation after many hours of training. He received his CCRP training from the University of Tennessee. Dr. Handel serves on the Maryland State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners and is currently President of the Montgomery County Veterinary Medical Association, a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, the American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture, the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association, and the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association and as well as a contributing member of the Montgomery County Humane Society. WESTIE WISDOM with Jane Fink Jane Fink has been in Westies since 1988, competing in obedience, conformation, agility, as well as enjoying terrier trials and pet therapy visits. Upon completing an obedience title on her first Westie in 1991, Jane was asked to help instruct obedience classes. In 1992 she opened her own obedience school, Anderson Dog Works in Anderson, South Carolina, where today she is the sole instructor, teaching 14 classes a week from puppy kindergarten to competition and Canine Good Citizen/Pet Therapy classes. Jane has also competed and titled her Shetland Sheepdog and Bernese Mountain Dog in obedience, herding, and draft carting, and has enjoyed living and working with Greyhounds, which introduced her to lure coursing. Her love of cats has assured their constant presence in her life as well. Jane is a long time member in good standing with the West Highland Terrier Club of America, the West Highland White Terrier Club of England, and the West Highland White Terrier Club of Greater Atlanta. Jane has fostered and rehabilitated rescue Westies for the Atlanta club since She contributes training articles to the newsletter and periodically offers Westies Only classes and seminars. Jane is an active member and Public Education Coordinator for her local all-breed club, Clemson Kennel Club in Clemson, South Carolina. ALSO Be sure to plan some spa time.
