I have commented before on how well I consider that serious breeders have taken on board the problems that they were faced with but I felt today that there was a slide backwards. The Red & White was primarily a dog that could be worked and I am sure that some could still fit that task but, in my view, many of the dogs were lacking in muscle tone, which does affect movement, this could be corrected by more free running exercise. Attention should also be given to the flat feet. Head shapes varied, some being far too strong. However I was delighted by my winners who, to me, fitted the breed standard with a bit to spare. Thank you for a good entry. MINOR PUPPY DOG - 3 (1 abs) Barry s Rustasha Rhapsody in Red A well balanced 8 month old who has all the essentials at this age. Pleasing head, still has to develop, kind expression, lengthy strong muscular neck, well placed shoulders, good strong back, well shaped hindquarters, good bone for his age, correct colour and went well. Would think this young man has a bright future. Best Puppy 2 nd Pilmer s Rustasha Red Hot Royal at Anisbrig Litter brother to 1 and similar remarks apply although I found him stronger in the head and the shoulder placement not quite as good. Well off for substance, excellent colour and markings, feet need to tighten. Went well. PUPPY DOG 4 1 st Barry s Rustasha Rhapsody in Red 2 nd Wades Ballakinnish Malachi at Oldestone Very typy youngster. Excellent well shaped head, nothing overdone, kind expression. His overall construction was good and he was balanced all through, good bone and colour. Unfortunately he did not move too well but I am sure when he gets his act together he will trouble the best. 3 rd Pilmer s Rustasha Red Hot Royal at Anisbrig JUNIOR DOG 4 1 st Lamb s Casafelice Montadale Liked this dog very much. Well shaped and correct head, kind expression, good neck and shoulders, deep brisket, strong balanced body, excellent hindquarters, strong bone, good feet, in good coat with correct colouring. 2 nd Temynloah Tomas at Alanea A younger dog and not as mature but similar remarks apply as 1. Pleasing head, strong balanced body, well laid shoulders, level topline which he kept on the move, correct bone, went well. Typical Red & White to the standard, well shaped correct head and expression, well arched and strong neck, clean strong topline, good bone, deep brisket, well ribbed up, strong hindquarters, went well. 2 nd Lamb s Casafelice Askanian Pleasing head but preferred the expression of 1, longer cast, good bone, did not move as well. 3 rd Walton s Gallybob Gold Standard. OPEN DOG 5 1 st Griffin s Sh.Ch. Corranroo Connexion This was the type of R & W I was looking for. All male without being coarse or overdone in any way. Excelled in head shape and expression, strong crested neck which flowed into well set shoulders, strong level back, good tailset, strong well muscled hindquarters, correct front, deep brisket, well ribbed up, in good coat, well marked and clear. Excellent front extension and strong driving hindquarters. Drove around the ring easily and smoothly. C.C and BOB 2 nd Walker s Sh.Ch. Vanders Va Voom Avec Wroxham Slightly smaller version but very balanced all through. Well shaped head, kind expression, good neck and shoulders, good topline and tail carriage, in good coat and went well. A worthy Sh.Ch. RC.C. 3 rd Vaas Exclusives Gypsyboy VETERAN 1 1 st Ward s Caispern Nicolaus Silver cum Copperwhite JW Sh.CM Very powerful looking dog with substantial bone. Balanced all through, good hindquarters, in good coat, did not move as well as I am sure he can. MINOR PUPPY BITCH 7 (1 abs) A difficult class to assess movement 1 st Barry s Rustasha Rosa Kim Well shaped puppy with a feminine head, good neck and shoulders, well constructed overall, excellent colour and coat, movement slightly erratic but she was enjoying herself. See she is litter sister to BP. 2ndWard s Ballakinnish Mischief Making Copperwhite Older, mature substantial puppy, good conformation, excellent colour, movement OK 3 rd Newmans Taxus Forest Gem PUPPY 8 (1 ab) 1 st Barry s Rustasha Rosa Kim 2 nd Ward s Ballakinnish Mischief Making Copperwhite 3 rd Newman s Taxus Forest Gem JUNIOR 6 (1 ab) 1 st Tattersall s Temynloah Tanya at Alanea Young bitch who made her presence felt as she entered the ring. A very pretty, well shaped, feminine head, good lengthy neck set on well placed shoulders and her outline flowed to the tip of her tail which was correctly set and held. Very balanced body, well ribbed up, good front and aft assembly, strong hindquarters and her movement was good. With her head held high on the move and her correct reach from the front and drive from the rear and her excellent coat and colour she looked a picture. 5 POST GRAD BITCH 7 (2 abs) 1 st Jones Roanjora Malvesia of Berryessa Pretty bitch, good in neck and shoulders, balanced body, good front and aft, strong hindquarters with good width, in good coat, went well. 2 nd Hawkins Courtdown Devonshire Dawn over Aislingwood Different type of bitch to 1. Balanced throughout, neck/shoulder placement OK, strong body, Good clear colour with defined well placed patches, feel could be tighter, went OK 3 rd Barry s Shireoak Caramel Oak with Rustasha LIMIT BITCH 10 (2 abs) 1 st McDonalds Courtdown Summer Breeze over Roanjara Although a little out of coat her overall conformation and type won her this class. Pretty, feminine well shaped head with such a sweet expression, arched neck, well set shoulders, level firm back, correct tailset, well angulated front and aft, deep brisket well ribbed up, moved extremely well with good front extension and driving from behind which gave her steady ground covering movement, she used her tail to advantage and with good handling she looked a picture. CC and RBofB 2ndSherratts Charnborough Glamour Girl Another very nice bitch with well shaped head and pleasing expression, her overall body properties are good, she was in good coat with excellent colour, she lost out to 1 in front movement, went OK 3 rd Howatson s Vanders Vida Loca OPEN BITCH 5 (1 abs) 1 st Barry s Sh.C. Hurricane Ruby Rustasha (Imp) Mature bitch in good coat, with correct colour. Well shaped pretty head, good neck and shoulders, level topline held on the move, strong hindquarters, balanced all through. Went well. 2 nd Sherratts Sh.Ch.Casafelice Cormo at Charnborough Similar type of bitch to 1 but not as good in the forehand, strong hindquarters, excellent body, went well, both 1 and 2 worthy show champions and excellent representatives of the breed. 3 rd Wards Copperwhite Cordelia Veteran 2 (2 Abs) GOOD CITIZENS 1 1 st Housby Tullamore Tiggy Winkle Substantial bitch but attractive, well boned, good ribcage in good coat with clear colour, went well BEST BREEDER IN BREED Barry s Judge Maureen Justice
