Exhibitors - Please Read Carefully NO PARKING ON SPLASHPAD. Vehicles will be ticketed and towed at owner's expense. Exhibitor and Spectator Daytime Parking is $5.00 per day per vehicle. Emmett Lions Club receives 50% of parking fees to sponsor a future leader dog. All parking is first come, first served. No parking in areas marked for emergency vehicles or marked no parking. The field directly behind show building can be used for parking. All parking shall be at the exclusive & explicit direction of the St. Clair Kennel Club, Inc. Event Committee & its representatives. No parking on sidewalks or in access roadways. Spectators/Exhibitors parking in the camping area without permit will be charged the camping rate of $45.00/day. Violators of these parking rules may be subject to having their vehicle towed at their expense and/ or be subject to a bench hearing. Gates at grounds are open at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday and close at 10:00 P.M. each evening. NR Hunting Retriever Classes - Class for dogs and class for bitches with an AKC Hunting Title: JH, SH, or MH Best of Breed Competition NR Honors Parade (Show # 1 Only) - The Fort Detroit Golden Retriever Club, Inc. is pleased to offer an Honors Parade to recognize those dogs present at the show which have received an AKC Championship, Agility Excellent Title, Utility Dog Title, Tracking Dog Excellent Title, Master Hunting Title and those dogs qualified as Open All-Age Field Trial. We will also recognize any Golden Retriever designated by the Golden Retriever Club of America as an outstanding Sire or as an outstanding Dam. Each dog entering the Honors Parade will be presented with a Rosette with the dog's name & titles on it. Dogs entered in the Honors Parade need not be entered in any other class in this Specialty Show or Obedience Trial but all information must be submitted on an Official AKC entry blank with Honors Parade as well as the title being honored in the space provided for Additional Classes. A brief write-up on the dog's accomplishments may be given to the Show Chairperson on the day of the event to be read aloud. The Honors Parade will be held during the lunch break. Non-Regular Classes Involving Multiple Dog Entries NR Stud Dog Class - Will be for Stud Dogs and two of their Get. Stud Dogs must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and must be shown in the ring with their Get. Owner of Stud Dog need not necessarily be owner of the Get. Get only to be judged, based on the merits of the Get. While the merits of the Stud Dog are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Stud Dog must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC policy, or the standard for its breed. Get must be entered in a Regular Class, Best of Breed Competition, or some other Non-Regular Class. NR Brood Bitch Class - Will be for Brood Bitches and two of their Produce. Brood Bitches must be entered in the Brood Bitch Class and must be shown in the ring with their Produce. Owner of Brood Bitch need not necessarily be owner of the Produce. Produce only to be judged, based on the merits of the Produce. While the merits of the Brood Bitch are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Brood Bitch must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC policy, or the standard for its breed. Produce must be entered in a Regular Class, Best of Breed Competition, or some other Non-Regular Class. As the judge s decision in the Stud Dog and Brood Bitch Classes will be based on the merits of more than one dog or bitch, none of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judged first in the class will be eligible for Best of Breed or Variety by virtue of having won these classes. 4 - Fort Detroit Golden Retriever Club, Inc. - September 14, 2018

5 JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP COMPETITION Junior Handlers who win a third Novice Class with competition present or a first place in Novice without competition leading to a Best Junior award with competition would count as one win towards moving to Open, after the closing of entries for a show, are required to transfer their entry from the Novice Class to the Open Class. Must notify the Superintendent/Show Secretary prior to judging of the class at the show. AKC Junior Handler Numbers are now required for entry in Junior Showmanship Competition. Box , Raleigh, NC Phone (919) or juniors@akc.org. Entry blank MUST be filled out with the necessary information, otherwise the entry in Junior Showmanship will not be accepted. NOVICE CLASS: For Boys and Girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three First Places in a Novice Junior Showmanship Class with competition present at a licensed or member show. OPEN CLASS: For Boys and Girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won three First Places in a Novice Junior Showmanship Class with competition present at a licensed or member show. Juniors which according to their records have completed the requirements to compete in the Open Class but whose status is unconfirmed by the American Kennel Club are limited to competing in the Open Class for a period of 60 days from the date of the show where the Junior completed the requirements according to their records. Master Class: This class will be for Boys and Girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years on the day of the show, and who have 10 Best Junior wins with competition. The calendar for this class will be consistent with the eligibility dates for the AKC National Championship. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to enter the Master Class and must change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open Class to compete for the following year. NOTICE JUNIORS WITH A DOG ALSO ENTERED IN ANOTHER CLASS OFFERED AT THIS SHOW WHO SUBSTITUTE A DOG NOT ENTERED IN THIS SHOW MUST REMIT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP ONLY AND JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP AS AN ADDITIONAL CLASS ENTRY FEE. If because of riots, wars, strikes, civil disturbances, national emergencies, health emergencies, and the dictates of law enforcement or of the owner(s) of the grounds and/or facilities or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open or to complete the event, no refund of entry fee will be made. Extreme weather conditions, such as, but not limited to snow storms, hurricanes, lightning, extreme heat, heavy rains, or other circumstances including, but not limited to, the condition of the facilities or grounds and/or the ingress and egress from the grounds, must be considered for the health and safety of the dogs, exhibitors and spectators. The well-being of dogs, exhibitors and spectators is of paramount importance and, in the event it is necessary to cancel or stop the event before completion, no refund of entry fee will be made. To find out about any AKC event cancellations call the AKC Event Cancellation Hotline (877) Post Dated Checks, Returned Checks and Declined Credit Cards do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Superintendent will add a collection fee to the amount of each returned check or declined card. Subsequent returned checks or declined cards from the same exhibitors may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY basis. No Refund for Duplicate Entries. Every effort to find all duplicate entries will be made; however, if entry has been processed, no refund will be made. This information is also subject to publication in other media. Dogs May Arrive any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused. Judges Will Not Wait for Any Dog Holding Up a Class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged. All Dogs Present must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in the exercising ring. Class Cash Prizes will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog. Claims for prize money must be made in the ring before the judging of that breed is over, and the Superintendent s Office advised at once. Attention Owners/Exhibitors of Foreign Registered Dogs If you are the owner/exhibitor of a dog registered with a foreign registry (not yet dual registered with AKC) please review the eligibility requirements in The Rules Applying to Dog Shows, chapter 11 section 1. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog. Additionally, I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify, defend and save the aforementioned parties harmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting therefrom, sustained by any person or persons, including myself (ourselves), or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequence of my (our) participation in this event, however such, injuries, death or property damage may be caused, and whether or not the same may have been caused or may be alleged to have been caused by the negligence of the aforementioned parties or any of their employees, agents, or any other person.
