Entries will be limited based on the maximum number of dogs allowed per hour for each class according to the Obedience Regulations. Regular, Preferred and Optional Titling Class Entries have priority and will be accepted in the order received up to the limits for each judge. Non-Regular Class Entries will be conditionally accepted. After closing and assignment of judges, non-regular class entries will be accepted in the order received up to the limits of the assigned judge. Entries are acknowledged via as soon as they are processed. Armband numbers are confirmed and judging programs are distributed via for all entries. Premium lists for future trials will also be sent out via . Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Trial Secretary will add a collection fee of $25 to the amount of each returned check. Any returned check must be made good by cash or money order before the dog will be allowed into the ring. No entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Entries will not be accepted without fees, signatures, or the "Agreement" on the reverse side of the Official AKC Entry Form. Please print or type all information on the entry form. Please show only dog's AKC titles on the entry form. Telephone and unsigned paper entries cannot be accepted. Exhibitors are responsible for complete, accurate, and legible information on the entry forms. Illegible or incomplete entries cannot be entered into the trial. All entries must be made on official AKC Entry Forms or copies and must include the Agreement and Rules. Online entries through the ShowEntries.Info OCC online SmartEntry SM form are also acceptable. Changes, additions, or corrections to entry forms must be received in writing, at the secretary's address or by ( OCC@ShowEntries.Info ) prior to the closing date. Refunds No refund of entry fees will be made for entries cancelled after the closing date, except in the cases of bitches that come into season. In those cases, refunds of valid entries may be obtained by providing the Trial Secretary with a veterinarian's certificate verifying that the bitch came into season after the closing date. The certificate must be ed or given to the Trial Secretary at least 30 minutes before the start of the trial. Entry fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by a veterinarian or judge, or barred from competition by action of Trial Committee. Entry fees will not be refunded because of riots, civil disturbances, or other acts beyond the control of the host organization, if it is impossible to open or to complete the trial. If, in the opinion of the host club, the well being of dogs, exhibitors or spectators is at risk due to extreme weather conditions, such as, but not limited to snow storms, hurricanes, lightning, or extreme heat, the host club may cancel or stop a show or trial before completion. No refunds will be made in such cases. Awards and Trophies Qualifying score required for all prizes in regular classes. The Obedience Club of Chattanooga, Inc. reserves the right to substitute a prize or trophy of equal value in the event one listed is not available from the donor. All awards and trophies must be claimed the day of the show. None will be mailed. Judging Procedures Judges will not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged. Dogs need to be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. Dogs are only allowed in rings during judging. Site Crating is available indoors at this site. Smoking is not allowed inside the building or on the show grounds. All dogs must be attended or confined to their crates except when being judged. We're about 2 hours from Nashville, Knoxville, Atlanta, and Birmingham! From 27N: take the Morrison Springs Road exit toward Red Bank at mile marker 6.6 (don't take the Dayton Blvd / Red Bank exit at mile marker 3). Turn right at the end of the exit ramp. Get into the left lane, and go a third of a mile to the end, then turn left onto Dayton Blvd. Go a quarter mile, we're on the left. From 27S: take the Morrison Springs Road exit toward Red Bank. Turn left at the end of the exit ramp and follow the directions above. From 24W: take the 27N exit and follow the directions above. From 75: take exit #2 for I-24 West towards Chattanooga/Nashville, then follow the directions above. SATURDAY MORNING The JAMIE DEVANEY MEMORIAL CHALLENGE TROPHY will be awarded to the handler earning the highest combined score in Open B & Utility B. The trophy is a champagne urn in mirror bright gold finish, combined with a lid and cast stem, mounted on a walnut wood base. The lid has a ribbon mylar holder with an obedience medallion insert. For permanent possession, this trophy must be won 3 times by the same owner, not necessarily the same dog, nor at consecutive shows. The handler's name and year of award will be inscribed on the trophy which will remain in the possession of Obedience Club of Chattanooga until retired. The trophy is donated in loving memory of Jamie DeVaney by Jamie's Knoxville training group. SATURDAY MORNING, SATURDAY AFTERNOON & SUNDAY CAROLYN STANSBERRY MEMORIAL TROPHY will recognize the Dog and Handler earning High In Trial each year with a commemorative engraved acrylic paperweight suitable for displaying a photo. The Handler's name and year of award will be engraved on the permanent trophy which will remain on display with the Obedience Club of Chattanooga until its presentation. Should a Dog and Handler earn the award in three consecutive years the trophy itself will be retired with the handler and a new one established with the Obedience Club of Chattanooga. The trophy is donated by Carrie Riggs, her family and friends in honor of her mother, Carolyn. 4 CLEAN UP Exhibitors will be responsible for picking up after their dogs and maintaining clean conditions in and around their crates. A specific area will be designated for exercising dogs. Pick up the poop and collect a ticket for each bag or scoop (honor system!) toward a drawing for a cash poop prize that will be awarded to a ticket holder each day. (Variety) if you are entering a dog of breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in., over 13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies (rough, smooth), Bull Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard). 2. (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the event class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e, A or B division. 3. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for an event closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any event for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his/her name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to the AKC. (For complete rules, refer to Chapter 11, Section 3.) 4.
