Please use the all-in-one sheet to reserve spaces. There will be no grooming or bathing in the rooms or elsewhere on the show grounds. Bathing-Hot water dog bathing facilities available. Private EX-pens are not allowed in the grooming area. Judges & Entries-No entry shall be made at any show under a judge of any dog which said judge or any members of his immediate household or immediate family has been known to have owned, handled in the ring more than twice, sold, held under lease or boarded within one year prior to the date of the show. The above shall apply to judges of sweepstakes or futurities held under licensed or member shows exactly as it does to judges of regular competition at shows. Judges shall avoid improprieties or perceived improprieties. Obviously some ethical rules are clear. Exhibitors are advised not to enter under a judge when their presence or presence of their dogs might give the impression of an unfair advantage. For example, if the judge is a person with whom you coown dogs. The key is to avoid situations that might give the impression of impropriety. Credit Card entries will be processed through the fax program and will be charged the $5.00 per entry processing fee and online entries will be charged a $4.00 per entry processing fee. Then you need to print the card number, expiration date, Cardholders name, address, daytime phone number. A written signature on the cover letter is required. Transfers to Best of Breed or Open Jr. Show classes: Dogs which, according to their owner s records, have completed the requirements for a championship after the closing of entries for this show may be transferred from the Dog or Bitch class to the Best of Breed class. Similarly, an entrant in a Novice Junior Showmanship class can be transferred to Open if the junior has earned a third 1st place after this show s closing date. Each of these transfer requests must be made to, and accepted by, the On Site Show Secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the start of any regular conformation judging at this show. Practicing is not allowed in the Show Rings at any time. All dogs present must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged. Bred by Exhibitor Entries-Are for dogs 6 months of age or older who are not Champions of Record on the date of closing for this show. The dog must be owned or co-owned by any of the breeders of record, and must be shown in the Bred-by-Exhibitor class by a breeder and owner of record of the dog. Dogs must be INDIVIDUALLY registered with the AKC as of the date of closing of entries for the show. (This means you cannot show in Bredby-Exhibitor with a Puppy registration number or a Foreign, including Canada, registration number). If the dog wins the Bred-by-Exhibitor class, there are no restrictions as to who may handle in any subsequent classes. AWARD OF MERIT These awards will be presented to the dogs or bitches, which, in the opinion of the judge, deserve special recognition and were not winners of BOB, BOS, BOW, Select Dog or Select Bitch. NON-REGULAR CLASSES INVOLVING MULTIPLE DOG ENTRIES (National Only) At the judge's decision in the Non-Regular Classes involving Multiple Dog Entries is based on the merits of more than one dog or bitch, none of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judged first in these classes will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won these classes. Stud Dog Class-For Stud Dogs with two and not more than four of their Get. Owners of the Stud Dog need not necessarily be owners of the Get. Get must be entered in another class in this show. Stud Dog must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and shown in the ring with his Get. The merits of the Stud Dog are not to be considered in the placement of the entry. The class will be judged on the merits of the Get. Stud Dog must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification under the AKC Dog Show Rules. Brood Bitch Class-Same as the Stud Dog except substitute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog and Produce for Get. Note: Chapter 11 Section 8 of The AKC Rules Applying to Dog Show provides that castrated males are allowed to be entered as the Stud Dog and spayed females are allowed to be entered as the Brood Bitch. Brace Class-For two dogs owned and/or co-owned by the exhibitor. Effective January 1, A brace is defined as two dogs of the same recognized breed or variety that are similar in appearance, performing in unison, and presented by a maximum of two handlers. Both dogs competing in brace competition must have at least one common owner. Brace will require a fee see Page 2 as a unit, provided the dogs are entered in another class. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for an event closed.
