During the fi rst 48 hours after opening, the initial limit of entries designated as either online or paper will be as follows. 220 runs online (33%), 440 runs paper (67%) each day. If either form of entry has not fi lled at the end of the 48 hour time period, the club reserves the right to decrease or increase either one accordingly. You must waive the signature requirement for delivery services, if applicable. Limit of 10 dogs per envelope. No hand deliveries can be accepted in the fi rst 24 hours. All entries must be submitted on offi cial AKC Agility entry forms, one dog per entry form. Photocopies of entry forms without the AKC Agreement are not acceptable. Unsigned, incomplete, or illegible entries are not acceptable. If you would like confi rmation that your entry was received before the trial has closed, please include your address or enclose a self-addressed stamped postcard. Entries cannot be changed once the trial has closed. Please check your entries! After Closing Waiting List A waiting list (30 run maximum each day) will be maintained for these trials once they have closed on Mar 27. The waiting list will be active until its deadline Monday, Apr 8, 6:00 pm CDT. Any dogs that are entered in these trials at closing and pulled before the waiting list deadline will be replaced, if possible, by dogs in order on the waiting list, and the exhibitor will be reimbursed in full. If a dog is pulled but cannot be replaced, the exhibitor will not receive a refund and the dog will be considered absent for the trials. Entry fees for dogs on the waiting list that do not get into the trial by the waiting list closing date will be refunded in full. Class Description Please see the AKC Regulations for Agility Trials for current class descriptions. Dogs must be entered only in Regular Classes or Preferred Classes with no crossover between them allowed at the same set of trials. Dogs with a PAL/ILP number or an AKC Canine Partners listing number must be spayed or neutered in order to compete. Dogs should be physically sound. Dogs that are blind or deaf, bitches in season, aggressive dogs, or dogs suffering from any deformity, injury, or illness which may affect a dog s physical or mental performance are not eligible to compete. No dog shall compete if it is taped or bandaged in any way or has anything attached to it for medical purposes. Refer to Chapter 2 of the Rules Applying to Registration and Discipline for the listing of registerable breeds that may participate. 3 Height Divisions Owners are responsible for entering their dogs in the proper height divisions. Height divisions are: Dogs Measuring Regular Agility Preferred Agility at the withers May enter in a higher jump MUST enter the AKC height than required but not mandated jump height in a lower jump height 11 and under and under and under and under over at owner s discretion AKC Jump Height Cards All dogs competing in agility must possess an offi cial AKC Jump Height Card. An offi cial AKC Jump Height Card is defined as either a permanent jump height card, a valid temporary jump height form, copies of two different measuring forms (placing the dog in the same height class) dated on or after the dog s second birthday, or copies of three different measuring forms (two of which place the dog in the same height class) on or after the dog s second birthday. All dogs (except those jumping 24 or 26 ) without jump height cards/forms must be measured/wicketed by the Judge of Record PRIOR to running in their class; this measurement will be valid for the weekend of trials only. If a Volunteer Measuring Offi cial or an Agility Field Rep is present, all dogs without a valid jump height card/form must be measured at some time during the trial. If the dog cannot be measured by the VMO prior to running, it must be measured by the judge before its fi rst run. You are not required to show your height card or send a copy with your entry. You are required to mark on your entry form your dog s height card status. It is the exhibitor s responsibility to request measurement. If your dog does not have a valid height card for a trial and is not measured by a VMO, if present, any qualifying runs earned will be disallowed. THERE WILL BE VMO s AT THIS TRIAL. Move-ups For the Friday, Apr 12, trial: MOVE-UPS close at 6:00 pm CDT, Monday, Apr 8. Move-ups may be sent by regular mail or to the Trial Secretary. If an address is provided with your entry, an confirmation of the move-up will be sent. For the Saturday, Apr 13 and Sunday, Apr 14, trials: MOVE-UPS close 30 minutes after the end of the trial on Friday, Apr 12 and Saturday, Apr 13 respectively and must be submitted at the trial. Trial Information Set-up time for Thursday evening will be announced in the confi rmation information after closing. Trial hours are 7:00 am to 30 minutes after the completion of judging. Ring size: 85 x 110 each (2 rings). The arena is air-conditioned with indoor restrooms and bleacher seating. Please bring crates and water for your dogs and clean up supplies. Xpens will be allowed for 2 or more dogs but should be restricted to the minimum size required for crating. No electrical devices are allowed due to overburdening of the electrical system. Batteryoperated devices are welcome. Food service is available at the trial site. No outside food or drink is permitted in the building. Notice to Exhibitors The safety of the dogs is our primary concern. By entering these trials, exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all obstacles safely. Entry fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualifi ed, excused, or barred from competition by action of the Event Committee. Greater St Louis Agility Club may cancel this event in extreme weather conditions. Entry fees will not be refunded if the trials cannot be opened or completed by reason of riots, civil disturbance, fi re, an act of God, public emergency, an act of a public enemy, or any other cause beyond the control of the organizing committee. Since bitches in season are not allowed to compete in AKC Agility Trials, the club will refund all but $10.00 of the entry fee per day for bitches unable to compete for that reason. The Trial Secretary must receive written notification of such a claim for refund by letter handdelivered, ed, or postmarked before the trial commences. The club will refund all but $10.00 of the entry fee per day for injured or ill dogs. Written request for a refund must be made to the Trial Secretary prior to the start of the fi rst trial day and a veterinarian s letter must be provided within one week of the trial. The club will refund all but $10.00 of the entry fee per day in the form of a club voucher for exhibitors who are absent due to a death in the immediate family. It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Event Committee, be asked to leave the trial site. In such case, no refund of any fees paid will be made. All dogs must be on leash or crated at all times except when in the ring or when in the designated agility warm-up area. Exhibitors are responsible for being at the ring gate when it is their turn to run. The judge need not wait for any dog holding up a class. Greater St Louis Agility Club has no obligation or responsibility for providing service through a public address system or steward for the purpose of calling or locating dogs that are not brought to the ring when required. Entries must be made on Offi cial AKC entry forms or copies and must include the signed Agreement and Rules. Junior Handlers must enter their JH# and complete back of form. Include only AKC titles on entries. All owners of mixed breed dogs must fi rst obtain an AKC Canine Partners listing number before they may enter an AKC Agility event. The dog s breed name should be entered as All American Dog. The dog s listing number must be entered on the entry form and AKC No. checked. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, whoever may have made such errors. No entry will be refunded in the event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date. Errors in entries made by the exhibitor cannot be corrected after the closing date. No refunds for duplicate entries. Dogs under 4 months of age are not permitted on the show grounds of AKC Agility Trials. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites and any communicable diseases and have appropriate vaccinations. Greater St Louis Agility Club does not agree to arbitrate claims as set forth on the Offi cial AKC entry form for this event. Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. There is a $25 returned check fee. No refunds will be issued for overpayment of less than $12. Exhibitors are responsible for cleaning up after their dog(s). Any exhibitor failing to do so may be excused without benefi t of refund if the Event Committee deems the exhibitor to be in violation of this requirement. Electronic Timing Electronic timing will be used at these trials.

Any damages to motels, RV sites or the trial site or abuse of the grounds can result in disciplinary action by the Event Committee. The requirements to qualify are different in each of these classes as is the title earned when they complete the title requirements. In an effort to eliminate this confusion, as of January 1, 2013 the name of the Excellent A class will change to Excellent and the name of the Excellent B class will change to Master. The changes will be as follows: Excellent A will change to Excellent Excellent A Preferred will change to Excellent Preferred Excellent B will change to Master Excellent B Preferred will change to Master Preferred LATERAL MOVE Cross-Over from Regular to Preferred Effective January 1st handlers have the option of showing their dogs in Preferred at the same equivalent level to where their dog is eligible to compete in Regular. For Example: A MACH dog is currently showing in Novice Preferred Standard, having earned 2 qualifying legs. Anytime on/after 1/1/13, that dog may start competing directly in Master Preferred Standard. Upon having earned a qualifying leg in the Master Preferred Standard class, their cross-over shall be invoked and the previous, lower titles do not have to be completed. - Once a cross-over has been invoked, the dog may no longer compete in the lower preferred class levels. - The handler always has the option of starting their dog at the Novice Preferred level.
