4 AGILITY CLASSES Please refer to the AKC Regulations for Agility Trials for current class descriptions. Dogs must be entered only in Regular classes or Preferred Classes with no cross over between them allowed at this same set of trials. The exhibitor is fully responsible for entering the dog in the correct class(es) height divisions. Dogs running in a lower height division than they are eligible for will be eliminated. HEIGHT DIVISIONS Regular Preferred Information Exhibitors may choose to enter their dog in a higher height division than required by AKC, but not in a height division lower than the AKC mandated height. All dogs entering the Preferred Classes for the first time MUST enter at the NOVICE level in both Pref. Std and Pref. JWW. The following jump heights shall be used in all Preferred classes. Owners are responsible for entering their dog in the proper height division. For dogs measuring & under at the withers & under at the withers & under at the withers & under at the withers Over 22 at the withers 26 Any height at owner s choice DOGS ELIGIBLE TO ENTER This Trial is open to all dogs over the age of 15 months that are registered with the American Kennel Club or that have AKC Limited Registration, Purebred Alternative Listing/Indefinite Listing Privileges (PAL/ILP), or an AKC Canine Partners listing number, or approved Foundation Stock Service (FSS) breeds are eligible to participate. Dogs should be physically sound. Dogs with a Purebred Alternative Listing/Indefinite Listing Privileges (PAL/ILP) or Canine Partners listing number must be spayed or neutered in order to compete. Wherever the word dog is used in these regulations it includes both sexes. Dogs that are blind or deaf shall not be eligible, and neither are bitches in season, aggressive dogs, or dogs suffering from any deformity, injury, or illness which may affect the dog's physical or mental performance. No dog shall compete if it is taped or bandaged in any way or has anything attached to it for medical purposes. Refer to Chapter 2 of the Registration and Discipline Rules for listing of registerable breeds that may participate. Puppies under six months of age are strictly prohibited from the trial grounds. All exhibitors should obtain a copy of The Regulations for Agility Trials by downloading them from the American Kennel Club website at Entry is not valid unless on official version of entry form approved by AKC. Entry is not valid without the agreement page accompanying the entry form!! Please read the agreement section and return with entry form.. PRIZES and AWARDS Ribbons will be awarded to the 1 st through 4 th place in each Standard, Jumpers with Weaves and FAST classes.1 st Place ribbon will be awarded to the first place dog in the T2B class. A green qualifying ribbon will be awarded to each dog earning a qualifying score. A New Title ribbon will be awarded to qualifying teams. A MACH/PACH rosette and bar will be awarded to teams that attain their MACH/PACH at this trial. The club reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value. Sept 14, 2016 after which time entries will not be accepted, canceled or substituted except as provided for in the AKC Rules Applying to Dog Shows, Chapter 11. Entries must be signed at the bottom by the owner or the owner's duly authorized agent, otherwise the entry cannot be accepted. Make checks and money orders payable to ADAA. Canadian exhibitors make fees payable in US funds. Entries received without fees will not be accepted. Telephone, telegraph, fax, , and unsigned entries cannot be accepted. Entries not on Official AKC Entry Forms and photocopies of entry forms without the Agreement on Rules on the reverse side of the Official AKC Entry Form are NOT ACCEPTABLE. The safety of the dogs is our primary concern. By entering this trial, exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport, and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all obstacles safely. All dogs present must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when using the warm-up jump. Judges will not wait for any dog holding up a class. The owner or handler of each dog is solely responsible for having the dog ready at ringside when it is to be judged. Entry fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused, or barred from the competition by action of the Show Committee. Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. There will be a $25.00 collection fee added to any returned check. It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may be asked to leave the show site. In such case, no refund of any fees paid will be made. No entry fee will be refunded if the trial cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, an act of god, public emergency, act of a public enemy, or any other cause beyond the control of the organizing committee. The Arrowhead Dog Agility Association, its agents, employees, etc., assume no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers, or to any of their dogs or property and further assume no responsibility for injury to children. Entry fees for bitches that come in season or injured dogs after the closing date will be refunded, minus a $15 administrative fee, if a veterinarian's certificate is presented to the Trial Secretary prior to the start of judging on the first day of the trial cluster. A full refund will be reimbursed to any entrant whose entry is replaced by a wait-listed entry. If a refund is less than $5.00 no refund will be issued. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarian s recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases and have appropriate vaccinations. Electronic timers will be used at this event. This Club does not agree to arbitrate claims as set forth in the official AKC entry form for this event. Obstacles will conform to current requirements of the Agility Regulations. Dogs may arrive any time prior to judging if the dog has a valid temporary or permanent jump height card. Otherwise they must be available for measuring prior to the start of their class if a VMO or AKC Field Rep is available to measure dogs. A warm up area, consisting of a regulation jump will be provided for exhibitors. This is to be used for warming up only and not for training..
