NEAREST HOSPITAL INFORMATION FOR ALL EVENTS, SEPTEMBER 11, 2015 Centralia Providence Hospital S Scheuber Rd., Centralia, Wa JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP COMPETITION CHINESE CRESTEDS, BOTH SHOWS POMERANIANS AM ONLY NOVICE CLASS: For boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who at the time entries close have not won three (3) first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. OPEN CLASS: For boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show, and who have won three first place awards in a Novice Class in a licensed or member show, with competition present in the Novice class. Juniors which according to their records have completed the requirements to compete in the Open class but whose status is unconfirmed by the American Kennel Club are limited to competing in the Open Class for a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the Junior completed the requirements according to their records. MASTER CLASS: This class will be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years on the day of the show, and who have won the 10 first place wins in an Open class with competition to be eligible to enter the Limited Class Competition. The calendar for this class will be consistent with the eligibility dates for the AKC Eukanuba National Championship. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to enter the Master Class and may change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open Class to complete for the following year. NOVICE AND OPEN CLASS DIVIDED: Junior-9 years old and under 12 years old on the day of the show; Intermediate-12 years old and under 15 years old on the day of the show; Senior-15 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show. NOTICE: Junior Handlers must include their AKC JUNIOR HANDLER NUMBER on each entry. You may obtain your junior identification number by calling the AKC, Judges Education Department, (919) BE SURE ALL INFORMATION for Junior Showmanship Classes is entered on front and back of entry form. NOTE: SUBSTITUTION OF DOG IN JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP AT THE SHOW(S): There will be an Administration Fee of $5.00 charged for any substitution of dog in Junior Showmanship at each show. In addition, if the dog originally entered in Jr. Showmanship was an additional entry, and the dog being substituted is not otherwise entered in the show, the Junior Showmanship Only fee applies. Come Prepared For Timberland Valley s Annual Dog Supplies/Equipment Garage Sale on Saturday and Sunday EXHIBITORS PLEASE NOTE Animals left in vehicles will be monitored by County Control Officers and Club Members. 3 INFORMATION FOR ALL EVENTS, SEPTEMBER 11, 2015 NON-REGULAR CLASSES INVOLVING MULTIPLE DOG ENTRIES Note: As the judge s decision in these classes will be based on the merits of more than one dog, no one of the dogs making up the entry judged first in the class will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won the class. Ch. 11, Sec. 8 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows provides that a castrated male may be entered as a Stud Dog in the Stud Dog Class and a spayed bitch may be entered as a Brood Bitch in the Brood Bitch Class. STUD DOG CLASS CHINESE CRESTEDS & POMERANIANS ONLY For Stud Dogs and their Get. Stud Dog must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and must be shown in the ring with their get. The owner of the stud dog need not necessarily be owner of the get. While the merits of the stud dog are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the stud dog must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC policy, or the standard of the breed. Get must be entered in a regular class, Best of Breed Competition, or some other Non-Regular class. BROOD BITCH CLASS CHINESE CRESTEDS & POMERANIANS ONLY For Brood Bitches and their Produce. Brood Bitch must be entered in the Brood Bitch Class and must be shown in the ring with their Produce. The owner of the brood bitch need not necessarily be owner of the produce. While the merits of the brood bitch are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the brood bitch must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC policy, or the standard of the breed. Produce must be entered in a regular class, Best of Breed Competition, or some other Non- Regular class. BRACE CLASS CHINESE CRESTEDS & POMERANIANS ONLY Two dogs, performing in unison, and presented by a maximum of two handlers. Both dogs competing in the brace class must have at least one common owner. Dogs do not need to be entered in any other class. Dogs comprising a Brace Class must be named at the time of entry, and full particulars must be given for each dog on individual entry forms. If a dog which is to be part of a Brace is not entered in another class, it must be entered for Brace Class only. An entry form for a dog entered in another class and entered as part of a Brace must be marked accordingly in the space provided for additional classes as Brace Class. If you build your ad 13 inches long on a LEGAL Word template, that will be acceptable and in proportion. It is recommended that you burn a CD of any of your electronic ads and submit that to the ad chairman for your specialty. CD should be readable in both PC and MAC format. Four-to-Six Month Puppy competition will take place during the Lunch Break. Classes will not be divided by sex in this competition. AKC registration number or an AKC litter number will be required for entries of an AKC recognized breed as listed in Chapter 3, Section 1 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows. A foreign born dog may enter this class if they are registered in the country of origin. All entrants are to be vaccinated (including rabies) in accordance with their veterinarian s protocol. The class will not be judged and each entry will receive the special Prize of a Red, Black & Gold Rosette with dogs name. Veterans may be spayed or neutered. Winners of the Veteran Classes, if otherwise undefeated, compete for Best of Breed) BEST OF BREED COMPETITION: The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed Competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs that according to their owners records have completed the requirements for a Championship but whose Championships are unconfirmed. The showing of dogs whose Championships are unconfirmed is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where a dog completed the requirements for a Championship according to the owner s records. AWARD OF MERIT: The Regular Class Judge, may, at his/her discretion, present an Award of Merit Rosette to no more than three (3) Dogs and/or Bitches who have competed in the Best of Breed judging at this Specialty. Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex are not included in the three Awards. SWEEPSTAKES BOTH SHOWS The Sweepstakes is open to all Schipperkes who are at least 6 months of age and under 18 months of age at the time of the Specialty. All dogs entered in a Sweepstakes class must also be entered in a Regular Class or for Best of Breed Competition at this Specialty, at the regular entry fee.
