Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. NO ROPING OFF OF AREAS WILL BE ALLOWED WITHOUT PRE-TRIAL PERMISSION *Animals In Distress: the show giving clubs reserve the right to break into any closed and/or locked vehicle by any means necessary if it appears that an animal is in distress. During the first 48 hours after opening, the initial limit of entries designated as either online or paper will be as follows: 350 runs Online and 700 Paper entries for all four days. If either form of entry (paper or online) has not filled at the end of the 48 hour time period, the club reserves the right to decrease or increase either one accordingly. If you are using coupon/vouchers towards entry fees please be aware that you may only use them for up to 50% of your total entry fees. 4 NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS THE SAFETY OF DOGS is our primary concern. By entering these trials, exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport, and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all obstacles safely. SHOW HOURS each day from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. RETURNED CHECKS do not constitute a valid entry fee. A charge of $25.00 will be made for each returned check. TELEPHONE, ED, FAXED, INCOMPLETE AND UNSIGNED ENTRIES cannot be accepted. ENTRIES NOT ON OFFICIAL AKC ENTRY FORMS OR PHOTOCOPIES OF ENTRY FORMS without the Agreement and Rules on the reverse side of the Official AKC Entry Form are NOT ACCEPTABLE. If because of extreme weather, riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management, it is impossible to open or to complete the trial, no refund of entry fees will be made. ERRORS ON ENTRY BLANKS Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after trial has closed (IF YOUR DOG HAS AN AKC NUMBER (not ILP, PAL or Canine Partners number) YOU KNOW YOUR BREEDER, SIRE & DAM AND IT NEEDS TO BE INCLUDED ON THE ENTRY FORM IT IS REQUIRED!!! Chapter 1 Section 11 if you don t believe me!) JUDGES ARE NOT REQUIRED TO WAIT FOR DOGS. The owner of each dog is solely responsible for having it ready at ringside when it is to be judged. The Club has no responsibility for providing service through a public address system or stewards or runners for the purpose of calling or locating dogs that are not brought into the ring when required. If handlers have a ring conflict and so inform the gate steward, every effort will be made to accommodate you. Greater Louisville Training Club, Inc., its agents etc., assume no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers or to any of their dogs or property and further assumes no responsibility for injury to children. BITCHES IN SEASON are not eligible to participate. There will be a refund of entries due to bitches which come in season after trial has closed and for dogs injured prior to March 16 upon written certification by a Veterinarian minus a $5 per class fee. An injury is any wound or damage to the body resulting from physical activity. Some common injury types are: cut, abrasion, fracture and burn. Sprain and strain injuries to muscles, joints and connective tissues are classified as injuries. Notification must be in the hands of the Trial Secretary no later than one half hour prior to the start of the first class of the day of the trial (March 15 th ). ALL DOGS MUST BE ON LEASH AT ALL TIMES EXCEPT WHEN IN THE RING OR IN THE DESIGNATED WARM-UP AREA. Exhibitors are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior, may, at the discretion of the trial committee, be asked to leave the show site. In such cases, no refund of any fees will be made. All dogs present must be held on leash or confined to their crates at all times except when in the ring or when in the designated agility warm-up area. All exhibitors must pick up dog waste everywhere on the show grounds. The site will be monitored and offenders will be asked to leave. In such cases, no refunds will be made. MOVE-UPS: Dogs may be moved up at the request of the owner as a result of qualifying for an agility title, provided that the request is made to the Trial Secretary in writing. (E- Mail is acceptable.) All move-ups for the weekend must be received by the trial secretary no later than Monday, March 11, 2019 at 6PM. Day to day move-ups will be accepted over the weekend. No moving down or changing or height after closing except as specified in Chapter 1 Section 21 of the AKC Regulations For Agility Trials. This trial is open to all dogs fifteen (15) months of age or older that are registered with the American Kennel Club or that have AKC Limited Registration, Purebred Alternative Listing/Indefinite Listing Privileges (PAL/ILP) or an AKC Canine Partners listing number, or approved Foundation Stock Service (FSS) breeds. Bitches in season, aggressive or blind dogs or dogs suffering from any deformity, injury or illness which may affect the dog's physical or mental performance are ineligible to participate. HEIGHT DIVISIONS: Exhibitors are responsible for entering the proper height divisions. In the Regular classes, dogs may be entered at the jump height for which their measurement qualifies them or a higher jump height, if the exhibitor chooses. In the Preferred classes, however, dogs must run in the jump height for which their actual measurement qualifies them. REGULAR PREFERRED Dogs 11 inches and under at the withers 8 inches 4 inches Dogs 14 inches and under at the withers 12 inches 8 inches Dogs 18 inches and under at the withers 16 inches 12 inches Dogs 22 inches and under at the withers 20 inches 16 inches ***Dogs over 22 inches 24 inches 20 inches ***Dogs may NOT be entered in this class if they are 22 inches and under. Dogs may be entered at this height at their 24 CHOICE owner s discretion if their measurement is 22 inches or under at the withers.

If you are using vouchers as part of your entry fee it is highly recommended that you send your entry by priority mail at least. There were about 2 dozen entries this past summer that were supposedly sent by regular mail that, to this day, have never been received. If this was to occur with regular mail there is no way to verify your vouchers and they CAN NOT be replaced. If you send entries by priority mail it will give you a tracking number to confirm that the entry arrived and stands more assurance that it might not get lost in the mail.especially with the holidays coming up. INSTRUCTIONS Handlers whose dogs measure into the 8 through 20 regular jump height divisions may opt to enter in a higher or 24 -choice height division for all Regular titling classes, but not in a division lower than their proper height division. Dogs who measure into the 24 regular jump height division may not enter 24-choice. Dogs entered in the Preferred classes must compete at the required jump height and may not compete in a jump height division higher or lower than their proper height division. All dogs that have not been officially measured for an Agility Jump Height Card may still compete; however, they must be measured by a Judge of record, an Agility Field Representative, or a Volunteer Measuring Official, prior to running. If measured by the Judge of record, that measurement will be valid for this trial or back-to-back trials only. If a measurement is necessary, it is the exhibitor's responsibility to have their dog(s) measured prior to running. Dogs listed in the AKC Canine PartnersSM program may be eligible to enter all-breed AKC agility trials at the club s option. These dogs should be listed as All American Dog and must include their AKC number on the entry form and check the AKC No. box. Junior Handlers should enter their Junior Handler number on the front of this form.
