Entries on official AKC entry forms and photocopies of entry form without agreement on the reverse side of the official AKC entry form are NOT ACCEPTABLE. Acknowledgment of entries will be made as soon as practical. Should such acknowledgment not be received within a reasonable time, please contact the Show Secretary. Make all checks payable to Miniature Bull Terrier Club of America. Canadian exhibitors must make fees payable in US funds. Please mail check or money orders with entries. The Show Secretary assumes no responsibility for cash sent through the mail. Closing date for entries is 6:00 P.M. PST September 26, 2018, after which time entries cannot be accepted, cancelled or changed Except as provided for in Chapter 15, Section 6 of the Dog Show Rules. AKC Event Service Fees and recording fees will be required for the first and additional entry of each dog entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show, Obedience Trial or Tracking test. The fees are to be collected by the trial-giving Club and paid to the American Kennel Club (American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 14, Section 2). The event service fees and recording fees are included in the entry fee. No Entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any conditions as to its acceptance. Entry Fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or Judge or barred from competition by action of the show committee. If because of riots, civil disturbance or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to complete the show, no refund of entry fee will be made. Post-Dated and Returned Checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. The showgiving Club will add a collection fee to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitors may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY basis. No Refund for duplicate entries. Every effort to find all duplicate entries will be made; however if an entry has been processed no refund will be made. Errors on entry blanks. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, whoever may make such errors, and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellations of entries after the published closing date. Dogs may arrive any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused. The MBTCA reserves the right to photograph this event and to assign these rights exclusively to Teddy Lei as the sole producer of photography from this event that may be offered for commercial sale. 5 Judges will not wait for any dogs holding up a class. Owners and agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged. All dogs present must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in the exercise ring. Class cash prizes will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog. Claims for prize money must be must in the ring before judging of that breed is over and the Superintendent office is advised at once. The show-giving club disclaims any liability for cash prizes after the judging of the breed is over. Pink & Green Rosette Exhibitors should follow their veterinarian's recommendation to ensure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. 5

7 All regular classes are divided by sex and are offered for all Miniature Bull Terriers. Where classes are further divided by color, weight, or other breed characteristics, it is so indicated below and the class division MUST be indicated on the entry form. SWEEPSTAKES CLASSES The following classes are offered in each sex: Puppy: 6 Months & Under 9 Months Puppy: 9 Months & Under 12 Months Senior: 12 Months & Under 18 Months The sweepstakes will be open to all Miniature Bull Terriers, who on the day of the show will be at least 6 months and under 18 months of age. No dog that is a CHAMPION OF RECORD may compete. Each dog must also enter a regular class. Entries are to be made at the same time and on the same form as the entries for the regular classes. Sweepstakes classes should be indicated in the area marked additional classes on the entry form. VETERAN SWEEPSTAKES Each veteran dog does not need to be entered in regular classes. Sweepstakes classes should be indicated in the area marked additional classes on entry form. The following classes are offered in each sex: Veteran: 7 Years & Under 9 Years Veteran: 9 Years & Under 12 Years Veteran: 12 Years & Older Prize money in each class will be based on a percentage of entry fees in that class divided as follows: First Prize 30% Third Prize 10% Second Prize 20% Fourth Prize 5% STUD DOG/BROOD BITCH COMPETITION Stud Dog/Brood Bitch Classes no less than two and no more than four of their Get. Stud Dogs/Brood Bitches must be entered in the Stud Dog/Brood Bitch Class and must be shown in the ring with their Get. Owner of Stud Dog/Brood Bitch need not necessarily be owner of the Get/Produce. Entry to be judged only based on the merits of the Get/Produce. While the merits of the Stud Dog/Brood Bitch are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Stud Dog/Brood Bitch must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC policy or the Standard for its breed. Get/Produce MUST be entered in one of the Regular Classes or Best of Breed Competition in the Parent Specialty I conformation show on Friday, Oct. 19, Entry fee is $10.00 for the Stud Dog/Brood Bitch and the Stud Dog or Brood Bitch need not be entered in any regular class. 11 EVENING HUMAN EVENTS Don t forget to also mark your calendars for the Thursday evening meet and greet with MBTCA & BTCA! Friday Evening Welcome Party Beginning at 6:30PM MBTCA & BTCA have planned a fabulous event with a variety of hors d'oeuvres, entertainment, music and dancing. A cash bar will be available. Tickets are on sale for $25.00 at the online entry system Zooza ( under the ecommerce tab or on the MBTCA Store website, The BTCA banquet is on Saturday evening. Tickets can be purchased on the BTCA web site, under Silverwood RV Parking RV Parking will be available at Sawmill Creek Resort for our National. The flat parking rate is $420 per week (regardless of duration of stay). The rate includes electric (50 amp, 30 amp, and 110 stations) and use of water hose to fill your tank as needed. Pee Wee Special Attraction The Miniature Bull Terrier Club of America is pleased to be able to offer this special attraction for our future showman. There are a few rules for our youngest competitors, with the safety of both the dogs and Juniors inside and outside the ring is a primary concern. Outside of the ring, the dog is to be controlled by the adult accompanying the child. An additional lead, provided by the Club, will be at the Judge s table. At the Judge s discretion based upon the size of the child and the dog, for safety purposes the adult may be asked to attach a second lead to the dog so both child and adult will walk the dog together. A dog must be at least four months of age to enter the Pee Wee class. Bitches in season will not be allowed to participate. If pre-entered, a dog may be substituted that meets the eligibility requirements as specified by the club. All dogs entered must have the proper lead and collar. A responsible adult must be present with the child both inside and outside the ring. The adult is to maintain control of the dog outside of the ring. The dogs entered must be Miniature Bull Terriers. A release of liability must be signed by the child s parent or legal guardian and will be provided

12 OWNER-HANDLER SERIES Exhibitors must declare their dog AKC National Owner-Handled Series eligible at the time of entry using the check box on the entry form. The handler must be an owner of record according to the AKC s records as of the date of the show. Dogs declared eligible will be identified by an asterisk or other representative mark in the steward s book and in the show catalog. Professional handlers, household members and current assistants to professional handlers may not exhibit. A current assistant is defined as anyone employed by a professional handler on a fulltime basis, or, assisting a professional handler at the show or any show during the cluster/weekend. Dogs must be handled by an owner-handler eligible for the AKC National Owner-Handled Series throughout the breed level competition for the regular show. This includes the class competition and subsequent competition in the breed ring. Additionally, dogs must be handled by an eligible owner-handler for all AKC National Owner-Handled Series competition. The Owner-Handled Best of Breed will be selected from the eligible dogs that competed in the Best of Breed/Variety competition for the regular show. This includes Winners Dog, Winners Bitch, and the undefeated winners of the non-regular classes. This excludes all dogs defeated during class and winners competition for the regular show. Breed judging for the AKC National Owner-Handled Series is conducted following Best of Breed judging in each breed ring. All dogs in the BOB competition (including WD & WB) will stay in the ring after the judge makes their placements in BOB competition. The ring steward will ask all professional handlers, household members of and current assistants to a professional handler, and any exhibitor that did not indicate on their entry that they were eligible for the AKC National Owner- Handled Series to leave the ring and then the judge will then select the Owner-Handled Best of Breed. A dog being cut or otherwise defeated in the Best of Breed ring remains eligible to compete in the AKC National Owner-Handled Series. The Owner-Handled Best of Breed will be selected from the eligible exhibits based on the program guidelines and procedures. Judging of the breed/variety for the regular show may determine the dog that is awarded Owner-Handled Best of Breed. Please follow these guidelines: If the Best of Breed/Variety winner of the regular show is eligible for the AKC National Owner-Handled Series competition, it will also be awarded Owner-Handled Best of Breed. In this case the dog will be eligible to compete in group competition for the regular show and group competition for the AKC National Owner-Handled Series. If the regular show Best of Breed/Variety winner is not eligible for AKC National Owner- Handled Series competition and the regular show Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed/Variety is eligible, the regular show Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed/Variety will compete against the eligible exhibits of the other sex to determine Owner-Handled Best of Breed. If neither the Best of Breed nor the Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed/Variety from the regular show is eligible for the AKC National Owner-Handled Series competition and both the Select Dog and Select Bitch are eligible, the judge is to choose Owner-Handled Best of Breed from the Selects and any eligible Winners Dog or Winners Bitch. If one of the Selects from the regular show is eligible for AKC National Owner-Handled Series competition, excuse all eligible champions and non-regular class winners of the same sex and then choose Owner-Handled Best of Breed from the remaining eligible dogs of the opposite sex including the eligible Winners. If the regular show Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed, Select Dog & Select Bitch are not eligible, the judge may choose any eligible dog who competed in Best of Breed including Winners Dog or Winners Bitch as the Owner-Handled Best of Breed. If no dog remaining in the ring is eligible for the AKC National Owner-Handled Series competition, Owner-Handled Best of Breed will not be awarded and the breed/variety will not be represented in group competition for the AKC National Owner-Handled Series. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim, and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog. Additionally, I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify, defend and save the aforementioned parties harmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any if the aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting there from, sustained by any person or persons, including myself (ourselves), or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequence of my (our) participation in this event, however such injuries, death or property damage may be caused, an whether or not the same may have been caused or may have been alleged to have been caused by the negligence of the aforementioned parties or any of their employees agents, or any other persons. I (WE) AGREE THAT ANY CAUSE IF ACTION, CONTROVERSY OR CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THIS ENTRY, EXHIBITION OR ATTENDANCE AT THE EVENT BETWEEN THE AKC AND THE EVENT-GIVING CLUB (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED IN ITS PREMIUM LIST) AND MYSELF (OURSELVES) OR AS TO THE CON-STRUCTION, INTERPRETATION AND EFFECT OF THIS AGREEMENT SHALL BE SETTLED BY ARBITRATION PURSUANT TO THE APPLICABLE RULES OF THE AMERICAN ARBITRATION ASSOCIATION. (Variety) if you are entering a dog of a breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, particolor), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in., over 13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies (rough, smooth), Bull Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard). 2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and fogs which, according to their owners records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. 3. (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the dog show class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e., age division, color division, weight division. 4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time the entries for an event closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any event of the show for which entries closed after the date of the acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name.
