ELIGIBILITY OF DOGS Open to all herding breeds nine (9) months of age or older that are registered with The American Kennel Club or have been granted an ILP\PAL and are eligible to compete in herding trials and tests under Chapter 1, Section 3 of the AKC Herding Regulations. Entries not on an official AKC entry form and photocopies of entry forms without agreement and rules on the reverse side of the official AKC entry form are NOT ACCEPTABLE. Entries received without fees will not be accepted. Acknowledgement of entries will be made via as soon as practicable. Please include legible address on your entry form. Do not send entries requiring a signature upon delivery. Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Show Secretary will add a $30 collection fee to the amount of each returned check. Entry fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, or excused by the Judge or Veterinarian, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee. No refunds for bitches in season. If because of riots, civil disturbances, or other acts beyond the control of the show giving club, it is impossible to open or complete the show, no refunds will be made. Effective January 1, 2008 Event Service Fees on all AKC events will be $3 for the first entry and $3 for each additional entry in addition to the $.50 recording fee for the first entry of each dog in Obedience. (American Kennel Club Rules, Chapter 11, Section 2.) Fax/Credit Card Entries Fax/Credit Card entries will be accepted up to the closing date and time. Official AKC entry forms must be used and both sides must be transmitted. A cover sheet must include: Cardholder's name, address, city, state and zip code, phone Number and address, Credit Card Number, type (Visa, MasterCard or Discover) and expiration date, a written signature on the cover letter authorizing payment of entry and fax fees, "CVV" Code (the last 3 numbers that appear in the signature area on the back of the card) and the total number of pages including the cover sheet. The fax fee is $4.00 per dog. All entries using a credit card, regardless of method of submission, will be processed through the fax/credit card system and will be charged the fax fee. You may wish to call to confirm receipt of your fax, as proof of transmission is not proof of receipt (Phone: ). Notice to Exhibitors It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Event Committee, be asked to leave the show site. In such case, no refund of any fees paid will be made. The host club, Clantyre Show Secretary Services and its agents, employees, etc. will assume no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors or handlers, or to any of their dogs or property and further assumes no responsibility for injury to children. Bitches in season shall be eligible and will be run in order in the trial classes, and will be run at the end of their class in test classes. Please dispose of trash in the proper manner. Bring shade, water and chair. Event will be held rain or shine. All dogs present which are not being worked in the arena must be kept quiet, off course, on leash and away from the fences. Please do not allow them to disturb the resting stock or interfere with the working dog. PLEASE NOTE: Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians' recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. Judges are not required to wait for dogs. It is the responsibility of the owner/handler to have the dog at ringside when required and without being called. Refunds: There are no refunds available for this trial other than what is listed in the Rules Applying to Dog Shows and the alternate rules listed below. Lunch will be available at the showsite. A Raffle will be held at this show. Closing of Entries/Alternates and Move-Ups (AKC Herding Rules & Regulations, Section 13): Whenever trial or stock entry limits have been reached all additional entries that are received prior to the closing date shall be added to an alternate s list for each level or stock that exceeds the published limit(s). Entrants on the alternates list must check in with the Herding Secretary on the grounds no later than 30 minutes before the commencement of their class. Entry fee will be refunded to the alternates whose dogs do not have an opportunity to run. Requests for move-up must be given to the Herding Secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the event.
