4 INFORMATION BROCHURE 1. Time Table: The timetable of the meeting provides for various standard events for boys and girl s u.11, u.12, u.13, u.16, u.18 and u.20. Please study the timetable thoroughly to ascertain which events are presented in each age group. Athletes must enter themselves 90 minutes before the start of their event and report PUNCTUALLY THIRTY (30) MINUTES before the start of their event, to the chief official at the specific event. 2. Apparatus, weights of throwing apparatus and heights of hurdles: (c) In the hurdle events athletes will compete at the heights indicated on the official timetable of the meeting. In the throwing events apparatus of the prescribed weights will be used in the specific age groups. In the sprints and hurdles events athletes must use their OWN STARTING BLOCKS. Please note the spikes in the blocks must be 12mm or longer. 3. Officials: (c) (d) (e) (f) (g) (h) In die past we were well supported by teachers who officiated at our meeting. May I kindly request that should your school s athletes participate in the competition, you once again provide us with some officials. Please use the enclosed form to supply the names of your officials and FAX THE COMPLETED FORM TO (021) or ) OR to Louiss4absamail.co.za no later than Monday 26 October You will be notified by fax/ which of your officials will be on duty at the meeting. Although every effort will be made to allocate duties to officials in the events that they prefer, this is not always possible, we ask for your understanding in this regard. All officials must PLEASE be dressed in a white shirt/blouse/t-shirt and jeans. An Official s meeting which precede the start of the meeting, starts PUNCTUALLY at 07h00 in the Clubhouse of the Parow Athletics Club. Officials, who for some reason, are unable to fulfil their duties after they have accepted the request, MUST PLEASE notify the organizers timeously to enable them to replace him or her. Light refreshments will be served from 07h00 to the officials in the Clubhouse of the Parow Athletics club. 4. Entry Fees: (payable at gate) Athletes = R15 Adults = R10 (c) Children under 10 = R 5 5.
