We are a small all breeds club, but with a strong interest in the Forest Cat breeds the Maine Coon, the Norwegian Forest Cat and the Siberian. We are very proud to welcome our judges to our show Maureen Norberry and Rhondda Watson from NSW CFA and Fiona Cooper from Cats NSW. It is a particular pleasure to welcome Maureen and Fiona, who both have a strong connection with Forest Cats and therefore bring credibility to our show for their expertise with our featured breeds. 4 JUDGES PROFILES RING 1 Maureen Norberry NSW CFA I became involved with cats and the Cat Fancy by accident about 18 years ago with the gift of a tiny seal point Siamese kitten who became the mother of my first "show" kitten a blue point Siamese. Since that first show I have been actively involved with the Cat Fancy as a breeder (chiefly Orientals and Siamese but also briefly Devon Rex), exhibitor and worker being regularly involved in the running of shows and assisting on the executive of a number of Clubs. I am currently the Secretary of the Oriental Cat Club of NSW and President of St George District Cat Club and hold Life Membership with both those clubs. I commenced judging with Group 2 (1996), followed by Group 3 (1998) and in 2005 I completed my Group 1 training. As of 1 January 2007 I will be a fully licensed Allbreeds judge. I have enjoyed immensely judging in most states of Australia and in the North and South Islands of New Zealand. In my other life I am a solicitor with my own practice in the small regional town of Mittagong. In my rare moments of spare time I enjoy exploring antique shops, gardening, reading and learning about one of my other great hobbies marine and tropical fish. RING 2 Fiona Cooper Cats NSW I have bred Siamese, Orientals, Foreign Whites, Burmese, Devon Rex, Scottish Folds and even a litter of Abyssinians under the Fioric prefix over the past 26 years. I have been a regular exhibitor for over 25 years and have exhibited in most parts of NSW and occasionally interstate. My first Maine Coon litter was born in 1999 and I ve bred these amazing felines since then under the Coolcoons prefix. I ve imported several of these cats from the UK, Norway, the USA and quite a few from New Zealand. I have enjoyed considerable show success with Coolcoons cats and kittens having won many Best Group 1 Exhibit and Supreme All Breeds Exhibit in Show awards as well as NSW CFA Kitten and Cat of the Year Awards. I ve owned and/or bred Cat or Kitten of the Year in all 3 Groups with NSW CFA since I first began exhibiting. I gained my Group 3 judges licence in 1999, followed by Group 2 in 2003 and I completed my Group 1 training in 2008 and have enjoyed judging in most states of Australia, in New Zealand and South Africa and transferred all those licences in 2013 to CATS NSW. 4

5 RING 3 Rhondda Watson NSW CFA I am an All Breeds Judge with NSW CFA, on the judging panel for CCCA and I am an Accredited All Breeds Tutor Judge. I have helped with the training of many NSW and interstate Judges. I have judged throughout Australia and New Zealand where I have made many friends throughout the Cat Fancy. I enjoy my judging assignments and consider it a great privilege to be invited to judge and handle so many beautiful felines and such a variety of breeds in Australia and overseas. The first pedigreed cats I owned were two neutered pet Chinchillas which I learnt to groom and care for on a trial by error basis. In 1975 I purchased two seal point male kittens which the breeder urged me to show. After winning two Best in Show awards with Nikolas I neutered Czar, purchased a seal point female and started breeding my Sucheng Siamese. Since then I have bred many seal point and blue point kittens and have imported cats carrying famous UK and NZ bloodlines to improve my Siamese breeding stock. I have always been intrigued with Abyssinian cats. This is a cat which is difficult to judge and a challenge to breed so I took up the challenge and imported a Tawny Abyssinian female from NZ. Since then I have bred and shown Tawny and Cinnamon Abyssinians. I have been involved with the Australian Mist Breeders Association, as a member and have worked closely with Dr Truda Straede during the formation of this popular breed and am now their Patron. Creating a new breed is a challenge and it has been a great pleasure to have been involved with the Burmilla Breeders Association helping with assessments of their cats and kittens during their quest for full breed recognition. I have been a delegate for CCCA meetings and have worked on the Breed Standards Committee and the Judges Training Committee. My goal is to see a United Australian Cat Fancy where all the controls work together to promote the breeding and showing of our pedigreed cats. 5
