WE ARE 99 YEARS OLD! Of course next year we will be 100! Which is a cause for great celebration! To do it up right we are working on raising as much money as possible. Also for something totally different: Poultry Agility we will be offering 2 classes one for youth and one for adults. This is a timed event where the exhibitor must guide their bird through a series of obstacles much like a dog agility course. Fun for the whole family especially the spectators. Simply put; bring things and spend money! We need dollars. You can help us by bringing interesting and useful items for our raffle (see list) and purchasing items sponsored by the club. Also we always can use a Hand! If you can come to set up on June 6th at 1:00. Then there is tear down! Every poultry show needs help with that dirty job! Wash down the dust with a cold water and some camaraderie when we are all done! Like me? Win me! Standards are $45.00 Health Requirements Poultry originating from with in the state must come from healthy flocks with no evidence of infectious, contagious and or communicable diseases. All birds must be inspected, identified and be accompanied by written proof (CT Flock test card or CT Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory Report) that verifies that the breeding flock or the individual birds listed on the report were blood test negative for Salmonella pullorum with in 365 days of the show date. Concurrent Avian Influenza testing of the flock and or individual birds is strongly recommended. Poultry vaccinated with in 30 days with ANY live virus vaccine will be prohibited from showing. All cages, crates or vehicles used for housing or transporting poultry must be cleaned and disinfected before and after each show. Doves, pigeons and waterfowl are exempt from testing but must be identified by leg bands or wing tags. Out of StatePoultry: All Poultry must be identified and test negative for Salmonella pullorum with in 12 months of show date and be accompanied by the certificate. All poultry must comply with Department of Agriculture Avian Influenza requirements by originating from AI-free flocks or be tested for AI within 30 days of entry and have a certificate. No poultry vaccinated within 30 days with any live virus vaccine will be prohibited from showing. All cages, crates or vehicles used for housing or transporting poultry must be cleaned and disinfected before and after each show. Doves, pigeons and waterfowl are exempt from testing but must be identified by leg bands or wing tags. Please Note every bird including Waterfowl needs permeate identification (leg or wing band)

To help us with our goal of raising funds for the 100th celebration show; Cabinet maker and Club member Steve Stanulonis is making 2 Old School Large fowl Carriers. These functional carriers with a modern style are made out of Cherry & Curly Maple! Please save a few extra dollars for this most special raffle! Worlds Greatest Ole Time Raffle Recently our raffle was described as AMAZING. We really appreciate your home made items. These can be things you baked, dug from your garden, pickled, jellied, sewed, hatched, built, or raised. Fanciers treasure useful things and are willing to take a chance on them. Last year our raffle made the club over $ That s a chuck of change for our non profit! We LOVE your hand made, hand grown items! Please bring anything you think will come in handy on the homestead!
