As yet it is not s comprehensive s we would like it to be, both in quntity nd scope, but we intend to expnd on this initil offering in subsequent sesons nd s time llows. In this modest offering we hve concentrted on inclusion of most of the best modern exhibition vrieties tht we re using with success t the four or five shows tht we ttend ech Spring. Chmbers) $4.00 A well foinied bicolour with smooth white perinth nd stright lemon trumpet. Consistency nd good foini re chrcteristic of this vriety which hs been the recipient of severl top wrds. LOD 3 (Jckson) Premble x Mitnni. $4.00 The clen white perinth is of excellent form with very good overlp in the smooth well rounded petls. The wide trumpet opens nd remins deep rich yellow. Good substnce nd stem. A very distinct bicolour nd consistent producer of exhibition blooms. Not s refined s some of the lter blooming white trumpets, but still very useful s n "erly" nd hs the dvntge of being better increser thn most in this division. TRANQUIL 2 (Jckson) $3.00 A nice erly white trumpet crried on tll stem. The bck petls form good tringle, the inner ones being rounded rther thn pointed. The perinth remins smooth nd flt. The nrrow trumpet is nicely flred. Trnquil is n excellent breeder being prent to Anitr Mercedes nd others; sets seed redily. SEMANTHA 2 (Phillips) $30.00 Currently considered one of the best of the few white trumpets tht we hve rised. CHAMKOHE 2 (Phillips) Rolnd x Gold Script $50.00 On its first showing this vriety ws wrded Chmpion bloom t the Pukekhoe show nd hs since been regulrly shown in No. 1 clsses. The whole flower is mid yellow with smooth perinth tht lies flt nd requires little if ny mnipultion. There is good overlp in the well rounded petls tht re complimented by well blnced, gently flred mid length cup. Mny very consistent good sized, well formed blooms tht re well poised on tll stems. DEMAND* 2 (Phillips) $20.00 A lrge flower of immculte form. The deep yellow perinth is of solid substnce nd requires minimum of grooming. The mple petls re well rounded, smooth with very little hooding. The mid length cup of the sme colour is mildly serrted t the gently flred mouth. As the nme suggests this will be much in demnd. Mny top wrds nd Highly Recommended. GOLD BANK 3 (Brogden) Gold Sciipt x Arctic Gold $5.00 A refined flower of good size giving consistently good blooms. The smooth perinth segments lie flt, hve good overlp nd re nicely rounded but with tendency to hood just little t the tips. The hlf length well blnced crown is of the sme good yellow colour s the very well formed perinth. Good increser. GOLDMINE 2 (Brogden) Glwy x Golden $12.00 Another consistent Brogden vriety with excellent form nd good size. The smooth, nicely rounded petls hve excellent overlp nd lie flt. The blooms re rich yellow throughout with plesing flre to the gently expnding cup. Mny top wrds. Tll stems.

8 FRISBEE 5 (Phillips) Pedigree unknown. $70.00 A distinctly different type of 2YY with its circulr widespreding, lmost flt lrge cup of rich golden yellow (lmost orgne t the rim). The brod, well rounded petls segments open nd remin good mid yellow. They form well rounded flt perinth tht reminds me of mny of the Green Islnd progeny from which this my well hve been bred. Although not lrge, the deep yellow perinth, flushed with shdes of ornge, does ctch the ttention of the eye. These rich shdes re enhnced by the nrrow cup of vivid red. Good form nd floriferious. HIROMI 3 (Phillips) $25.00 The most striking feture of this vriety is its solid, rich red, very widespred crown. The well formed perinth is esily up to modern exhibition stndrds with good substnce nd yellow colouring. The spectculr lrge blooms borne on strong stems mke this one of my fvourites. 2AR HOT STUFF 3 (Gry) $3.00 Well nmed on ccount of its strong colour nd excellent form. Hot Stuff hs excellent substnce nd is very smooth in its brod, well rounded perinth. The bowl shped cup is deep solid red from cup to bse. The very rounded blooms re crried on n mzingly solid, smooth round stem. The widespred cup hs frilled mrgin bnded rich red nd shdes down to n ornge centre. The perinth is very brod nd rounded, smooth nd of good shde of yellow, for exhibition. Excellent for cutting. Not entirely consistent, but very useful. POLDARK* 5 (O'More) Indin Summer x Red Bron $15.00 Flowering t the end of the seson this is very vluble vriety for lte shows. Blooms re lrge nd very good red colouring throughout the widely expnded cup helps Poldrk to relly stnd out on the show bench. The rich yellow petls re well rounded but bit ribby nd the cup must be protected to void sunburn. Good tll strong stem nd the plnt hs typicl Red Bron vigour. RED CAMEO 3 4 (Hmilton) Jgur x Rwene $30.00 A wonderful exhibition vriety with its deep yellow brodly rounded petls of smooth qulity nd good substnce, nicely blnced by well spred cup of uniform deep red. Good stem, size nd consistency. Another "must hve" in my collection. RED FLAME 2 (O'More) Red Bron x Firecrcker $20.00 One of the best formed nd smoothest of Jim's mny fine yellow reds. The rich yellow petls re shovel shped nd smooth forming very plesing perinth. The bowl shped cup is rich red throughout. More consistent nd smoother blooms tht I hve come to expect from the mny fine seedlings bred from Red Bron. 2AR RED HOT* 2 (O'More) $5.00 A medium sized well rounded flower of exceptionlly bright colouring. The perinth soon colours to rich shdes of ornge which is enhnced by spreding cup of solid, rich red. Red Hot stnds out very well mongst other blooms.

Opening with the rich ornge flush in its smooth brod petls Rondel mkes very striking sight, especilly t dusk or dwn. The effect is zeeeie.ie E:; *ie s; iz 3i 3 5 e ttr enhnced by widespreding cup tht is rich deep red throughout. Certinly not s strongly built s Pillr Box, but nonetheless hs dequte substnce in the well formed blooms crried on stems of good length. SOBIG* 2 (Phillips) $10.00 The mid yellow petls form brodly rounded perinth of good form. The lrge bowl shped cup is deep ornge red throught. As the nme suggest, very lrge flower crried on tll strong stem. Useful for erly shows nd where size is importnt. Good increser with mny blooms. STYLISH 2 (Phillips) $25.00 Together with Red Hot nd Rondel, these vrieties form the brightest trio in, our grden. Stylish hs form quite s good s Rondel lthough not s brod in the petls. With consistently smooth form nd nicely expnding cup of solid red. Together with the perinth richly flushed with ornge mkes Stylish very eyectching flower. Good stem, substnce nd free increser. TOKONUI 3 (S. Free) Good vlue t $8.00 With good deep colouring in both the smooth perinth nd idelly flred crown, well grown Tokonui is lwys top contender in ny competition. The ce of spdes type petls form n immculte perinth tht requires little if ny grooming. Good stems, substnce, colour nd consistency ssure Tokonui of mny more yers mongst my most prized yellow reds.
