SATURDAY: Judges for Best Open, Best Field Champion and Absolute will be announced after the judging of the regular classes. SUNDAY: No Absolute The committee reserves the right to make changes to the running order to expedite this event. Be prepared to have someone handle your dog(s) if you have a conflict. The handler of a dog that kills or injures a rabbit on the grounds under any circumstances owes $25 to Grand Lake Beagle Club. ALL EXHIBITORS are expected to beat the brush, keep the grounds clean and to pick up after your dogs. THE DACHSHUND CLUB OF AMERICA INC. further offers to the winner of the Open All-Age Dog Stake and/or Open All-Age Bitch Stake, and Combined Field Champion Stake (Friday), and Field Champion Dog Stake and/or Field Champion and/or Bitch Stake (Saturday and Sunday), its Brass Sunburst Medallion when starters in that stake are 12 or more for each trial. Louisville Dachshund Club will offer prizes for each placement through NBQ at each trial.

3 EXHIBITOR INFORMATION ARBITRATION. This club does not agree to arbitrate claims as set forth on the official AKC entry form for these events. CAMPING. There are a limited number of electrical hook-ups (15 amp) available at $10.00 per night. Camping without an electrical hook-up is $5.00 per night. ALL camping spots must be reserved. Camping includes people staying in tents as well as those staying in their vehicle. Judges and working club members will be given priority for both RV parking and electric. Priority will also be given for those paying for 3 nights. All others spots will be determined by the date the reservation form is received. Parking for large motor homes is limited. There is no dumping of RV holding tanks on the grounds. Payment by check or cash should be made to Grand Lake Beagle Club (collected by LDC) and can be combined with meals. Payment upon arrival will be appreciated. CAMPING IN CLUBHOUSE. There are seven beds upstairs available at $20.00 per night. Sheets, blankets and pillows will NOT be provided. There are two bathrooms and a shower in the clubhouse. Contact Vicki Spencer at or lorindol@roadrunner.com to reserve a bed in the clubhouse. PARKING. Day parking will be at a premium. Please be respectful of others by limiting the amount of space you use. The Committee reserves the right to limit the amount of space used by individuals. MEALS. Breakfast $6.00 daily and lunch $7.00 daily will be available in the clubhouse prepared by Grand Lake Beagle Club members Jason and Jessica. We so appreciate their being willing to cook for us. It is advisable to wear sturdy shoes or boots and durable clothing. Bring clothing appropriate for a variety of conditions, including rain. Weather is unpredictable in Indiana this time of year. Trials will be run rain or shine. ENTRY FORMS. Bring all information needed to complete the entry forms. A copy of the dog s registration certificate contains the necessary information. Entry forms are provided in the premium list, if needed. PRACTICE. There will be no practice runs in the fields. WATER. YOU WILL NEED TO BRING WATER FOR YOUR DOGS AND YOURSELF; WELL WATER ON THE GROUNDS IS RUSTY. X-PENS. Dogs must be on leash or secure in x-pens at all times, and may not be left unattended. NO DOGS ALLOWED IN THE CLUBHOUSE, except for awards. MOTELS AND CAMPGROUNDS Motel that accepts dogs: America s Best Value Inn, , Celina, OH (35 minutes away) NOTE: Please call beforehand to verify specific policies and fees regarding pets. Dogs may NOT be left unattended at motels at any time. Please be a courteous guest: crate dogs in motel rooms, use x-pens outside and clean up after your dogs. Motels that do not accept dogs in the rooms: Holiday Inn Express & Suites, Portland, IN Hoosier Inn, Portland, IN Portland Inn, Portland, IN Campgrounds: Grand Lake State Park Camping /Cabins, or St. Mary s Ohio. (45 minutes away) Fox Lake Campground, , Portland, IN (approximately 8 miles from the field trial grounds) Dayton KOA Resort, , Brookville, OH, (approximately 48 miles/ 1 hour away from the Beagle Club, but a good place to stay if you need to before or after the trials).

4 RV/Camping Reservations A reservation must be made by April 26, 2019 to overnight camp (tents, motor homes, trailers, or any other vehicle) on the beagle grounds. RV spots and electric are limited. Judges and working club members will be given priority. Priority will also be given to those reserving 3 nights. All other spots will be determined by space available. Camping with electricity $10.00 per night Camping w/o electricity $ 5.00 per night Club: Louisville Dachshund Club May 3, 2019 Grand Lake Beagle Club, 3197 S. 850 East, COMBINED FIELD CHAMPIONS All overnight campers will be assigned a spot and must check in with Linda Snyder or Vicki Spencer for parking directions. There will be no dumping of waste tanks (gray or black) on the grounds. Generator exhaust must be directed away from other campers. The site will be available for set up at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 2, Please Linda Snyder at lindaasnyder@aol.com to make reservations or if you have questions. Provide your name and phone number; your arrival and departure dates; your method of camping (Class A, Class C, Fifth Wheel, Trailer, Tent, Car); Length of RV and tow vehicle (vehicles may need to be unhooked); # of slides; and whether or not you will need electricity. Payment by check or cash should be made to Grand Lake Beagle Club (collected by LDC) and can be combined with meals. Payment upon arrival will be appreciated.
