City Hall 6131 Taylorsville Road City Council Conference Room Meeting Started at 6:00pm Members present: Bryan Detty, Toni Webb, Vicki Dix, Nancy Byrge, Keith Hensley & Richard Shaw Members NOT present: Nina Deam and Vincent King 1. Call Meeting To Order/Roll Call: The meeting started with opening remarks from Mayor Jeff Gore. 2. Approval of Minutes: None 3. Topics of Discussion: A. Election of Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary: Recommendations for the Chair and Vice Chair: Vicki Dix = Chair Motion by Toni Webb, 2 nd by Nancy Byrge (6-0) Toni Webb = Vice Chair Motion by Nancy Byrge, 2 nd by Vicki Dix (6-0) Richard Shaw = Secretary Motion by Nancy Byrge, 2 nd by Toni Webb (6-0) B. City Dog Park Planning and Discussion Power Point presented by Toni & Don Webb (Copy Available) Potential Locations: Menlo Park = 8.6 acres Monita Park = 13.6 acres total (3.6 acres considered)

4 Committee discussion: Neighbors near Menlo Park support an active park Current infrastructure Water, Electric and Parking Nancy took notes of the Pros and Cons for each location (Document attached) Richard discussed a quote of materials for the Dog Park received from AAA State of Play (Documents Attached) Committee requested City Staff input on location. ( Attached) Brief discussion on amenities for the potential park. Public Input: Suggestion of Human Bathrooms Resident suggested we buy back LaMendola School and this is a waste of money Menlo Park is a great suggestion Why is this dog park needed The committee suggested to visit each site Saturday March 10 th starting at 9am (Monita and Menlo) (Pictures attached for each location) Next Meeting: March 22 nd at 6pm 4.
