2 Amazing Cats What is a cat? Cats are hunters that kill and eat other animals. There are three kinds of cat in the cat family tree: big cats like the lion, small cats like the bobcats and your pet cat and additionally the cheetah, which has a branch all to its self. All cats see well at night. By day the centre of the eye, which lets in light, is narrow and slit like, but at night it is big and round. Cats are known for their cleverness. In the old story of Puss in Boots, a crafty cat helps his young master to marry a beautiful princess. A cat s skeleton has about 40 more bones than average human. They have a very flexible spine and this is why they are very agile. When they are not hunting or climbing, cats pull their claws into a little pocket to keep them safe. 3 Where is a good place to get school Uniform? Asda! Asda is a good place to shop for school uniform because asda has everything you will need and so do tesco and M & S school and many other shops. 4 BASTILLE DAY WE CELEBRATED BASTILLE DAY AND CAME TO SCHOOL IN RED, WHITE AND BLUE AND DID LOTS OF FUN ACTIVITIES! MRS SUMMERS IS THE FRENCH EXPERT AND ALSO DID A BRILLIANT ASSEMBLY SO THANK YOU SO MUCH MRS SUMMERS. THERE WERE STORIES AND A PUPPET SHOW FOR KEYSTAGE 1 WHICH WAS DONE BY MRS ALEXANDER AND MRS SUMMERS. THEY DID THREE STORIES WHICH WERE HANDA S SURPRISE, THE HUNGRY CATERPILLAR AND WE RE GOING ON A BEAR HUNT! HAPPY BASTILLE DAY!! BY SCARLETT RUST. My prep test for the piano On Saturday 1 st July 2017 I went to my prep test. I PASSED. The examiner was really nice. I didn t have to wait for the results. 5 How children feel about Mrs Munday being Head Green Ellie feels excited. Ede feels ok. Purple Maddie feels exited. Jack H feels happy. Yellow Emily and Sofia think that it will be good because everyone will know her better and she ll know everyone else better, instead of having to get to know a new head. Ella feels good and happy. 6 Kingswood!!!!! That was amazing! A report by Sarah Norman When I did the first activity hot spots, it was like twister but the board was big enough to fit all the cubs that had come AND scouts. One day a girl named Sara went to kingwood and did caving, low ropes had a disco and pool party made a rocket threw her water balloon and slept the night. The next day she did the LEAP OF FAITH, the climbing wall, archery, night line and more. Then she went home. Page 6 of 12

7 On Wednesday 14 th June 2017 Orange Class went on a trip to Norwich castle. When we went to Norwich castle we got onto the coach at 9.00am and got to Norwich castle at 10.30am. We saw some animals that had sadly but peacefully died and had been found and had poles put into their legs and been stuffed. By Shannon Page 7 of 12

8 Loved ones of Manchester Pray for Manchester In Manchester a terrible thing happened. A bombing happened at Arianna Grande s concert. The loved ones of Manchester was a second concert held for all of the victims who died at Ariana Grande s first concert. By Ede and Millie Page 8 of 12

9 An interview with Mrs Munday (next year s headteacher!) How do you feel? I m very excited to be the head teacher and continue with all of the hard work of the children s parents and staff at Beaupre. What emotions do you have? I m excited and happy but a little sad that I won t be teaching every day but now I can observe and know how all the children are progressing. How do you feel about Mr Rhodes leaving? I feel sad because all of the things he has done for the school but If he wasn t leaving I wouldn t have the opportunity to be the head. Do you know who is teaching rainbow class? Yes, Mrs Eaves. Why did you want to be head? So that I could work with all the children and parents and staff to continue the good work and develop further the wonderful school that beaupre is. 10 SUMMER FAIR On Friday 23 rd June Beaupre held its annual summer fayre. The choir did the singing and Mr Rhodes nearly played same song twice (tee hee) There was face painting and I was a butterfly!!! There was soak the head teacher. Mrs Munday will be next probably!!!! By Sarah Page 10 of 12
