1 JULY 2016 MY QUARTERLY UPDATE PRICELESS THE BOOK OF BOSLEY HERE I AM, SMILING FOR THE CAMERA. ALSO SITTING WITH MY PUPPY MOM & DAD :) The adventures of Bosley, a puppy in training! Well hello to you Sepulveda Building Materials! Bosley here, and I hope you are enjoying your summer as much as I am! I m doing super-well, keeping busy as always! I am now 14 1/2 months old and weigh 67 pounds, still keeping my wonderful figure! So, what s been going on with me? Lots!! I have had my evaluation and according to the GDA trainers, I m doing really well! Over the last few months, I have continued to spend more time at GDA, each time, loving it more and more. My growth is slowing down and as you can tell from the photos, I am really an handsome pup (if I don t mind saying so myself). If I haven t said it lately, thank you so much for being my sponsor - I really appreciate you and hope you enjoy this edition of The Book of Bosley. I VOTED! DOWN STAYS AT OBEDIENCE! GOING FOR TEA!
2 DOING OUR CIVIL SERVICE IN JUNE, MY PUPPY-MOM TOLD ME IT WAS TIME TO PARTICIPATE IN THE JUDICIAL PROCESS AND PERFORM OUR CIVIL SERVICE. I HAD NO IDEA WHAT THAT MEANT BUT I DID GET TO GO TO A COOL PLACE CALLED COURT WHERE EVERYBODY JUST LOVED ME. MY PICTURES DON T SHOW ME IN COURT (WE WEREN T ALLOWED TO TAKE PICTURES) BUT THE JUDGE ASKED ALL SORTS OF QUESTIONS ABOUT ME. EVEN THE ATTORNEYS LOVED ME! FUN TIMES :)
3 A DAY AT THE RACE TRACK! WE HAD A REALLY FUN OUTING AT THE SANTA ANITA RACETRACK. DURING BREAKFAST, WE WERE ABLE TO SEE THE HORSES RUNNING IN THE DISTANCE. AFTERWARDS, SEVERAL OF US GOT TO TAKE A TRAM RIDE AND HAD A TOUR OF SANTA ANITA. I GOT TO HANG OUT WITH MY BROTHER BRUIN (HE S THE HANDSOME BLACK PUP) AND MY GOLDEN RETRIEVER FRIEND, PALMER. WE HAD A LOT OF FUN!
4 STREET FAIR! ON FRIDAY NIGHTS, OUR MONROVIA COMMUNITY HAS SOMETHING CALLED A STREET FAIR. THERE ARE DIFFERENT VENDORS SELLING STUFF, DIFFERENT TYPES OF FOOD TO BUY, LOTS OF PEOPLE WALKING AROUND, AND BEST OF ALL, THEY HAVE A PETTING ZOO! MOM AND DAD SAY I SUCH A SUPER PUP, BEHAVING SO NICELY IN PUBLIC! DON T YOU THINK SO TOO?
5 ANOTHER GDA GRADUATION! I HAD SO MUCH FUN AT OUR LAST GDA GRADUATION! I GOT TO SEE SEVERAL OF MY BROTHERS & SISTERS (SEE ME WITH ME, MY HONORARY SISTER MORGAN, BROTHER BRUNO & SISTER BRAVO ABOVE?), WHICH WAS SUPER! I ALSO MET A PRETEND DOG - SEE HIM ABOVE?I GOT TO MEET LOTS OF NEW PEOPLE WHO WERE REALLY EXCITED TO LEARN MORE ABOUT PUPPY RAISING AND MY MOM LET THEM LOVE ME UP TOO! I JUST LOVE GOING TO GDA GRADUATIONS! I CAN T WAIT UNTIL YOU COME TO MINE :)
6 BABY SHOWER AT WORK! IN MAY, I WENT TO MY FIRST BABY SHOWER - IT WAS FUN! LOTS OF PRESENTS TO OPEN, BUT MY VIEW FROM UNDER THE TABLE WASN T SO GREAT BUT THAT S OKAY BECAUSE I GOT TO TAKE A SPECIAL PICTURE WITH THE SOON TO BE MOM! OH AND GUESS WHAT?? SHE HAD A BOY, JUST LIKE ME :)
7 JULY 4TH! OUR FOURTH OF JULY WAS VERY LOW KEY! WE HAD SOME FAMILY OVER AND I GOT TO PRACTICE SITTING CALMLY UNDER THE TABLE AT DINNER. AFTER DINNER, WE WENT INTO OUR BACKYARD AND WERE ABLE TO SEE SOME FIREWORKS GOING ON PRETTY FAR AWAY YOU SEE, WE LIVE UP IN THE HILLS AND YOU CAN SEE FROM MILES AROUND! I WASN T TOO BOTHERED BY THE LOUD NOISES THEY MADE EITHER! ALL IN ALL, A FUN NIGHT :)

9 HARBOR CRUISE! IN JULY, ME AND LOTS OF MY FAVORITE GUIDE DOG PUPPIES-IN-TRAINING GOT TO GO SOMEWHERE VERY SPECIAL WE WENT TO NEWPORT BEACH AND TOOK A HARBOR CRUISE ON A BOAT! IT WAS SO MUCH FUN AND MOM SAID I BEHAVED VERY, VERY WELL. WE EVEN GOT TO DO SOMETHING VERY SPECIAL AND SIT UP ON THE SEATS TO TAKE SOME PICTURES, BUT AFTERWARDS, WE JUMPED BACK DOWN AND SETTLED NICELY - JUST LIKE GOOD PUPPIES-IN- TRAINING ARE SUPPOSED TO! WHAT A FUN DAY!

11 Time is flying by! It is so hard to believe that I am already almost 15 months old! With that, my world has opened up tremendously. I m now mature enough to go almost anywhere, however mom is still very careful to make sure my experiences are positive and appropriate for me. With the summer now here, we have to be very mindful of the temperature both outside, and also on the ground. Mom always takes her hand and feels it to ensure that I won t burn my paws The blacktop can get so very hot! FUN AT WORK! DENTIST TIME! THIS IS MY FAVORITE DENTAL HYGIENIST TRACY. WHEN MOM GOES TO THE DENTIST, I SIT NEXT TO HER CALMLY, WHILE THEY CLEAN HER TEETH. I REMAIN IN A DOWN STAY - EVERY NOW AND THEN IF I TRY TO GET UP, MOM REMINDS TO LAY DOWN. AFTERWARDS, I M ALLOWED TO GET SPECIAL LOVE FROM TRACY! SAY CHEESE! I have been able to go in the swimming pool a bit as well. You d think as a labrador, I would automatically know how to swim but really, it is important that our puppy raisers help us with the pool. You see, it is a bit nerve-wracking the first time we go in. Mom was careful to show me where the steps were in the event I fall in, so I always know where to climb out. Also, it s important that I don t become too obsessed with the water - I m only able to go in if I m invited into the pool. I can never just jump in - when I become a real guide dog, I need to be able to walk near water without pulling my partner in! In my next report, I ll be sure to include some photos of me in the pool! Well, that s it for now - Licks and wags, Bosley!! HERE I AM AT A SUMMER CONCERT IN THE PARK. IT WAS THE FIRST TIME I HAD HEARD LIVE MUSIC AND IT WAS AWESOME. THERE WERE ALSO A LOT OF KIDS AROUND I IT WAS FUN TO GET TO KNOW SOME OF THEM. I STAYED VERY CALM AND WAS WELL-BEHAVED, EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE RUNNING AROUND! DINNERTIME AS A GDA PUPPY, I HAVE LEARNED THAT MY PLACE WHEN MY FAMILY IS EATING DINNER, IS UNDER THE TABLE, OUT OF THE WAY. HERE I AM WITH MY BROTHER - IT HAD BEEN A BUSY DO SO WE ARE KINDA SPREAD OUT, BUT USUALLY, WE SIT NICELY RIGHT UNDER MOM OR DADS FEET!
