1 Third Grade Egyptian Memories Mrs. Loppnow s Class 2018
2 Third Graders Study Egypt! Third Grade students participated in a month-long study of Ancient Egypt. Our research was focused on the book, Who Was King Tut, which took us on a journey through this ancient time. We learned about how King Tutankhamen came to rule and what a day in his life of must have been like. We all agreed we would like to laze around being fanned by ostrich feathers while being fed fresh fruits and vegetables! However, swimming with the crocodiles may not have been as enjoyable! Students learned about how the Great Pyramids were built and about some incredible inventions, including TOOTHPASTE, by the Ancient Egyptians! We learned a lot and had tons of fun doing it!

5 Gods and Goddesses Students also learned about the Egyptian belief of the importance of many Gods and Goddesses. It was fun to get a glimpse inside the Egyptian s life and the importance of these figures. We learned that not all pharaoh s believed in the same thing and sometimes, RULES were CHANGED which caused great distress and confusion. In his short time as ruler, it is believed that King Tut did restore some order and brought back ALL of the Gods and Goddesses...here is a peek at just a few!
