EERCISE: Exercise at a brisk trot for 30 minutes twice daily for 2 weeks. This will prevent swelling and encourage drainage at the incision. IMPORTANT: If your horse shows any of the following signs, please call the RAVS Veterinarian or your local veterinary clinic immediately: Unwillingness to eat or drink. Lethargy or unwillingness to move. Excessive swelling of the incision site (football size or larger). Any tissue or other material hanging from the incision site.
