1 Import Pet (Dogs & Cats) to Jakarta from rabies zone The documents required for obtain an import permit 3 weeks in advance : 1. Copy of owner passport, front page only 2. Copy of vaccination certificate/ books/ certificate 3. Address and phone no. for delivery the pets An import permit must be available by the time of pets arrive. There s quarantine for 14 days after your pets arrive in JKT, so please make sure that your pets have below vaccines updated DOGS Distemper Hepatitis Leptospirosis Parvovirus Parainfluenza Bordetela/Kennel Cough (preferable the intranasal one) Rabies CATS Calici Panleukopenia Rhinotracheitis Chlamydia Rabies Above vaccines need to be give min 30 days max 11 months. HEALTH CERTIFICATE Health Certificate can just be obtained within 5 days before your pet s departure date. The importation of pet animals (dogs & cats) shall be accompanied by a veterinary health certificate issued by a competent veterinary officer or the Government Veterinary Authority of country of export, certifying that : 1. Rabies has not been reported within the area where the animal has lived for the last 6 (six) months preceding export 2. The animal had been in country of origin for a period of not less than 6 (six) months preceding export 3. The animal in 5 (five) days before departure must be examined by veterinarian, and found to be healthy and free from any clinical sign of rabies and infectious or contagious diseases of dog/cat, at the time of examination and certification 4. The animal at least must be 3 (three) months old and has been vaccinated against rabies using killed-rabies vaccine Fleas & Ticks Prevention Your pets need to have flea & tick prevention 2 days before shipment. 3 DOGS AND CATS Pets may be imported, but are subject to import duties and taxes, and quarantine fees. Birds of the Psittacidae (Parrot) family may not be imported. The Animal Quarantine Office should be notified at least two days before the pet s departure from origin. A quarantine of 14 days is required for all animals. Pets must be for personal use and not for resale. The pet s name, breed, sex, age and color must be listed on the paperwork Required Documents: Copy of owner s passport Import License obtained from the Indonesian Agricultural Department Health Certificate for each animal Vaccination book Rabies vaccination certificate, issued at least 30 days prior to arrival in Indonesia. Letter of Recommendation from the Provincial Animal Breeding Services of the destination region Importation of Pets Into Rabies-Free Areas: Importing pets into the following areas is prohibited: Jakarta area and Java Island. The exception to this prohibition is if the pet originates from one of the following countries: Australia New Zealand Fiji Hawaii Taiwan Japan Ireland Iceland Bermuda Brunei Sabah and Serawak Cyprus Sweden Norway Malta United Kingdom Singapore Hong Kong Turks and Caicos islands Italy Belgium Denmark

4 Exempted pets must meet the following requirements: The pet must not be pregnant. The pet must be weaned and at least 90 days old. It must have been vaccinated against rabies with the inactive vaccine only. Vaccinations must be administered at least 30 days and no more than 1 year, before departure. The pet must be quarantined before departure from the origin country. The animal must be quarantined in the rabies-free area of Indonesia, at the port of entry, for a minimum of 14 days and a maximum of 6 months.
