5 RULES GOVERNING THESE SHOWS AND TRIALS 1. THE CLUB RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REMOVE ANY PERSON FROM THE SHOW. THE SHOW SUPERINTENDENT SHALL HAVE FULL CONTROL OF THESE SHOWS AND TRIALS, WHICH WILL BE GOVERNED BY CKC RULES. 2. A DOG EXCUSED BY THE SHOW SUPERINTENDENT OR VETERINARIAN FOR ANY REASON SHALL NOT, COMPETE IN ANY CLASS FOR ANY AWARDS FOR BALANCE OF THE SHOW. 3. THE SHOW COMMITTEE WILL USE DUE CARE AND DILIGENCE FOR THE WELFARE OF DOGS AND EXHIBITORS, BUT WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR, OR ASSUME ANY LIABILITY IN THE EVENT OF ACCIDENT OR MISFORTUNE TO EITHER DOGS, EXHIBITORS, SPECTATORS OR VENDORS. 4. DOGS MUST BE ON THE GROUNDS 1-HOUR PRIOR TO THE JUDGING OF THEIR BREED. 5. ALL EXHIBITORS, HANDLERS AND PATRONS ARE EXPECTED TO KNOW AND ABIDE BY THE CKC DOG SHOW RULES CHAMPIONS AND CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS SECTION #1. A dog awarded WINNERS at a Championship show held under these Dog Show Rules shall be credited with a number of championship points (ranging from 0 to 5), and the determition of the number of championship points to be credited to a dog awarded WINNERS shall be as provided hereunder. SECTION #2. The schedule to be employed in the determition of the number of points to be allocated a dog awarded WINNERS shall be as follows; DOGS COMPETING* to 5 6 to 9 10 to or more POINTS AWARDED *includes the dog awarded Winners To determine the number of points earned by a dog awarded Winners, total all dogs in competition which were defeated, directly or indirectly, for the highest of the following official breed awards: Winners, Best of Winners, Best of Breed or Best Opposite Sex and then consult the schedule set forth above. The handler of any dog in this class must be the owner, co-owner, or a member of their immediate families. A person may enter more than one dog in this class. A dog may continue to compete in this class after the owner has been notified by at least 2 different judges that the dog has won 3 qualifying scores in this class. However, a dog may not be entered or exhibited in this class in any rally trial after the owner has received official notification from the CKC that the dog has won the title. RALLY NOVICE B: Any dog may compete in this class until a qualifying score in the Rally Advanced Class is earned. The owner or any other person may handle dogs in this class. A person may enter more than one dog in this class. All exercises are judged on leash, and all dogs must enter and leave the ring on leash. RALLY ADVANCED A: This class shall be for dogs that have won the Rally Novice (R. N.) title but have not won the Rally Advanced (R. A.) title or any CKC Novice Obedience title. The handler of any dog in this class must be the owner, co-owner, or a member of their immediate families. A person may enter more than one dog in this class. A dog may continue to compete in this class after the owner has been notified by at least 2 different judges that the dog has won 3 qualifying scores in this class. NKC 4th Annual Breeder's Classic Friday, June 15 TH, 2012 After Best in Show - TBA Judge: Secret until the event The Classic is open to all Bred By Exhibitor dogs and all dogs must be entered in any class in the show on Friday. Dogs must be breeder/owner handled at the class level, but Breeders need not handle after the class level. (This class will be held on completion of Best Puppy in Breed, Best Puppy in Group, Best Puppy in Show) JUNIOR PUPPY CLASS - This class shall be for any dog 6 months of age and under 9 months of age on the day of the show SENIOR PUPPY CLASS - This class shall be for any dog 9 months of age and under 12 months of age on the day of the show 12 to 18 MONTH CLASS This class shall be for any dog 12 months of age and under 18 months of age on the day of the show CANADIAN BRED CLASS - This class shall be for any dog born in Cada. (Champions of any country excluded) BRED BY EXHIBITOR CLASS - This class shall be for any dog owned and handled in the ring owner/breeder. The handler MUST be the owner/co-owner AND breeder/cobreeder of the dog. The owner/breeder must handle the dog at the class level, but need not handle the dog for further awards OPEN CLASS - This class shall be for all dogs SPECIALS ONLY CLASS - This class shall be for any dog that has a recorded CKC Registration or Event Registration Number and has attained the required points for Championship status. Note: A Listed dog MAY be moved to the Specials Only Class after the closing of entries, provided the CKC Individual or Event Registration Number was received prior to the first day of the show. The request to move a class dog to the Specials Only Class MUST be received by the Show Secretary ONE HOUR PRIOR TO THE OPENING OF THE SHOW ON THE DAY CONCERNED. Listing Fees WILL NOT be refunded EXHIBITION ONLY - All dogs entered in this class shall be listed in the catalogue with the same particulars as dogs entered in regular competition. Dogs entered in this class MAY NOT COMPETE in any Regular class but may enter and compete in Non-Regular classes and/or Parades ONLY NON-REGULAR CLASSES (if offered by the club, refer to individual Premium List) NOTE: Any dog entered in a Non-Regular class MUST also be entered in a regular class or for Exhibition Only on the same day, dogs being entered in a Parade may be spayed, neutered or in an unorthodox trim PROVIDED they are entered in Exhibition Only BRACE CLASS - This class shall be for two dogs of the same breed (not necessarily of the same sex) (Note: effective January 1, 2006 identical ownership NO LONGER applies)

9 Transition Obedience Classes PRE-NOVICE This class shall be for all purebred dogs and those breeds as desigted on the list of miscellaneous breeds and of either sex, which have not earned the title of P.C.D. (Pre-Companion Dog) in Cada. Dogs being entered in this class may be handled or exhibited by the owner or any other person. A person may enter more than one dog in this class and must have an additiol handler for each dog when they are judged together on the Group exercise. A dog may be entered in the Pre-Novice that has not earned the title of C.D. in Cada or a comparable title in any other country. The Pre-Novice class is an elective class and earning a title is not a requirement to advance to the Novice Classes. NOVICE C This class is open to any dog of either sex that has gained the title Companion Dog, Companion Dog Excellent, Utility Dog or any other advanced Obedience title in Cada prior to the closing date of the trial in which it is to be entered. Exhibitors may enter more than one dog in this class but must have a separate handler for each dog in the Long Sit and the Long Down Exercises when they are judged in the same group. The Novice C exercises will be performed and judged as described in the official Novice Class except that exhibitors may compete in the Novice C Class indefinitely. Scores earned by dogs entered in the Novice C Class are not eligible for High In Trial. The P.C.D. and C.D.I. and Novice C are elective classes which are offered for those people who feel the dog requires ring experience and acclimation to the trial situation or would like to earn additiol titles. Dogs may be entered in the Novice Intermediate (C.D.I.) and/or Novice C class in addition to any of the Official Classes or Unofficial Classes. NOVICE INTERMEDIATE CLASS This class shall be for all purebred dogs and those breeds as desigted on the list of miscellaneous breeds and of either sex, which have earned the title of (C.D.) Companion Dog, Companion Dog Excellent, Utility Dog or any other advanced Obedience title in Cada. A dog eligible for entry in the Open A or B Class at any obedience trial held under these rules is also eligible for entry in the Novice C and Novice Intermediate Class at the same trial. The Novice Intermediate class (C.D.I.) is an elective class and earning a title is not a requirement to advance to a Companion Dog Excellent title. Scores earned by dogs competing in this class are not eligible for High In Trial. Dogs are eligible to compete in this class indefinitely. Dogs in this class may be handled or exhibited by the owner or any other person. Dogs in this class may be shown by the owner or any other person. The dog does not have to be CKC or ERN Reg d to compete in this class OPEN A - This class is open to all dogs which have earned the title of CD IN CANADA, but have not earned the title of CDX in any country. One dog ONLY may be entered in this class by any one exhibitor. The exhibitor MUST BE THE OWNER or A MEMBER OF HIS/HER IMMEDIATE FAMILY and MUST SHOW THE DOG IN ALL EXERCISES. Any person who has trained or exhibited a dog that has earned a UD title may not handle dogs in this class, but MUST COMPETE IN THE OPEN B CLASS. A CKC or ERN Reg d number must be provided on the entry form at time of closing of entries to be eligible to compete in this class OPEN B - This class is open to all dogs that have earned the title of CD in CANADA, and may be shown by the owner or any other person. This dog MAY ALSO COMPETE IN THE UTILITY CLASS. A CKC or ERN Reg d number must be provided on the entry form at time of closing of entries to be eligible to compete in this class UTILITY CLASS A - This class is open to any dog of any recognized or listed breed which has earned the title of CDX but has not earned the title of U.D. Any person who has trained or exhibited a dog that has earned a M.O.T.Ch title may not handle dogs in this class..this dog must be shown by the owner or a member of their immediate families. A CKC or ERN Reg d number must be provided on the entry form at time of closing of entries to be eligible to compete in this class. Owners may enter More than one dog in this class. The same person must handle the dog in all exercises. When a dog is wrongfully entered in this class, any score will be cancelled. UTILITY CLASS B - This class is open to any dog of any recognized or listed breed which has earned the title of CDX or U.D. Dogs in this class may be handled by the owner or any other person. A CKC or ERN Reg d number must be provided on the entry form at time of closing of entries to be eligible to compete in this class. Owners may enter more than one dog in this class. The same person must handle the dog in all exercises. No dog may be entered in both the Utility A and Utility B classes at any one trial. Prior to the start of judging, the judge will decide the order of exercises to be performed. This order will not be disclosed to exhibitors until it is posted at ringside, approx. 30 mins. Prior to the start of the class.

14 EXTRACTS FROM THE CONFORMATION SHOW RULES & REGULATIONS CHAPTER JUDGES A judge officiating at a show held under these rules shall not be subjected to any indignities of any kind during the progress of the show, and it shall be the duty and obligation of the club holding the show to see this rule is effectively enforced. CHAPTER 8 - ENTRIES and ENTRY FEES Section Every dog entered in Championship Shows held under these rules must be registered, have an Event Registration Number, eligible for registration with the CKC or have a CKC Miscellaneous Class Certification number issued by the CKC Chief Registrar. If a dog is not registered individually in the CKC it may be entered at a show, held under these rules, as a listed dog, provided (a) it is not a Miscellaneous breed (b) if born in Cada, is eligible for individual registration (c) if foreign born and owned, an Event Registration Number or CKC registration number is obtained from the CKC within 30 days of the first show entered. A listing fee of $9.40 must accompany the entry of a listed dog at a show held under these rules. (Effective April 1, 2010) Section 8.2: INCOMPLETE ENTRIES Entry forms which are incomplete or those that contain incorrect information after the closing date of entries will be void and under no circumstances can changes be made. Any dog taking a win resulting from such an entry will result in the wins being cancelled. Section 8.6.2: DISHONORED CHEQUES Tendering of a dishonored cheque or credit card in payment of entry fees shall be considered non-payment of entry fees. Clubs may refuse to accept entries from any exhibitor who have been known to tender dishonored cheques in payment of entry fees unless such entries are accompanied by a money order, cash or certified cheque. CHAPTER 14 - DISQUALIFICATION Section A dog once disqualified for any reason at a Championship show held under these rules cannot again be shown or entered at a show held under these rules unless and until said dog has been reinstated by the CKC. All awards earned by a dog shown in violation of this section will be cancelled by the CKC and the owner of said dog is subject to discipliry action. Note: for any further information on reinstatement refer to Chapter 14, Section 3 of the Conformation Show Rules and Regulations CHAPTER 5 SHOW OFFICIALS Section A show-giving club will be held responsible during the show for the conduct of exhibitors and spectators. Any person acting in an abusive or objectioble manner must be removed from the show on complaint to the Show Superintendent.
