Entries for Trial Day Of must be submitted to the show secretary no later than one hour prior to the opening of the respective trial keeping in mind that entries are limited. 3 In payment of entry fees, the tendering of NSF cheques shall be considered non-payment of entry fees and is punishable by disciplinary action and cancellation of awards. A collection fee of $25.00 will be added to the amount of any returned cheque. Please print legibly and mail early. The Show Secretary will not be responsible for errors in the catalogue as a result of their inability to interpret your entry form. The owner of a dog entered in this show is entirely responsible for any error in the entering of their dog. Take time to review the ed approval of entry sent. ATTENTION: FOREIGN EXHIBITORS Fees are due and payable in Canadian dollars. Due to consistently fluctuating currency rates, discounted cheques will not be accepted. Personal cheques will be accepted, however, they are to be payable in Canadian Funds. If you send a cheque in US funds, it must be made out for the full amount of the entry and no exchange will be refunded to the exhibitor. Please DO NOT make cheques Payable in Canadian Funds or At Par. They will not be cleared by the banks. To simplify the process, we urge that you purchase bank drafts or money orders payable in Canadian Funds. Thank you. BORDER CROSSING: A Rabies Certificate is required to bring a dog into Canada. Government regulations require this Certificate and MUST be dated at least 30 days prior to re-entry into the US. *** A valid passport is needed for persons crossing the border. JUNIOR HANDLING July 15th, 2016 TIME: Lunch Break JUDGE: tba $2.00 registration will take place at the Show Secretary s desk prior to 11:00am on Friday July 15, PRIZES: Rosettes and appropriate gift - Best Overall and 1st in each class Rosettes for 2nd thru 4th Participation flat ribbons - pee wees Peewee (Unofficial Class) ages 4 to 6 Intermediate Novice: ages 11 to 14 Senior Novice: ages 15 to 18 Junior Novice: ages 7 to 10 Intermediate Open: ages 11 to 14 Senior Open: ages 15 to 18 Junior Open : ages 7 to 10 Junior handling is open to all persons from ages 4 up to 18 years of age on the date of competition. All dogs must also be entered in the regular classes at the specialty show, but need not be owned by the junior. Rosettes will be awarded for 1st to 4th in each class and for Best Overall Handler (except peewee class who will receive participant flat ribbons). Please note effective January 1, 2016, in accordance with Section of the Junior Handling Rules & Regulations, Junior Handlers will be required to apply to CKC Head Office for a Junior Handling Number. Section Junior Handler with the exception of Pee Wees, must apply to CKC Head Office on the appropriate form for a Junior Handling Number within 30 days of competing in their first Junior Handling event. This Junior Handling Number will be used by the Junior Handler for the duration of their Junior Handling career. If a Junior Handling Number is not obtained, Junior Handling points earned will not be tracked. 3

Gretchen s Chivas Regal CDX Perpetual trophy donated by Byron and Anne Brown of Chi- Gal Kennels will be awarded to the Best of Breed winner of the GRCBC Annual Specialty. BEST VETERAN - The BISS Am Can Ch. Justmoor Believe in Me. BISS Am Can Ch. Kalar s Four Paw Drive and Can Ch. Justmoor A Tribute To Bruce trophy donated by friends of Nancy Hargreaves will be awarded to a first place class winner from the male and female Veteran classes of the GRCBC Annual Specialty. All perpetual trophies will remain in the possession of the Club. ALL-BREED OBEDIENCE / RALLY TROPHY LIST GRCBC offers Perpetual Trophies for Best Puppy, Best Opposite Sex, Winners Dog and Winners Female. All trophies, awards and prizes must be claimed at these trials each day. A qualifying score must be obtained to be eligible for prizes unless otherwise indicated. A rosette and/or prize will be presented by GRCBC for: Each High In Trial HQS In Each Official Class HQS In Each Rally Class HQS In Each Transition Class (not including Pre-Novice) All Pre-Novice Qualifiers HQS In Each Unofficial Class Mixed breeds are eligible for Obedience and Rally provided that are in possession of a CCN number obtained from CKC Shows and Trials. Booster - The Flat-Coated Retriever Society of Canada is sponsoring boosters for Obedience AM and Rally PM on Sunday, July 17th, Prizes to be offered to Flat-Coated Retrievers for High in each class. BRED BY EXHIBITOR CLASS - for any dog owned and handled in the ring by the owner/breeder. The handler MUST be the owner/co- owner AND breeder/co-breeder of the dog. The owner/breeder must handle the dog at the class level, but need not handle the dog for further awards The following Regular CKC Classes (divided by sex) will be offered : SPECIALTY CONFORMATION CLASSES VETERANS CLASS Dogs must be 7 years of age and over on the day of the show. Dogs entered in this class may be spayed or neutered. Divided by sex and age (7 yrs and under 10, 10 years and under 12, 12 years and over) FIELD CLASS - Dogs must have attained a title or placement in a field trial or test. Dogs entered in this class may be spayed or neutered. SPECIALS ONLY CLASS - This class shall be for any dog which has a recorded CKC Registration or Event Registration Number and has attained the required points for Championship status. Note: A Listed dog MAY be moved to the Specials Only Class after the closing of entries, provided the CKC Individual or Event Registration Number was received prior to the first day of the show. The request to move a class dog to the Specials Only Class MUST be received by the Show Secretary ONE HOUR PRIOR TO BREED JUDGING. Listing Fees WILL NOT be refunded. OPEN CLASS - This class shall be for all dogs NON-REGULAR CLASSES: EXHIBITION ONLY - All dogs entered in this class may not compete in the regular breed classes but they may enter and compete in Non-Regular classes and/or Parades ONLY Any dog entered in a non-regular class must also be entered in a regular class or for exhibition only on the same day. BRACE CLASS - two dogs of the same breed not necessarily the same sex handled by 1 person on 1 lead. BABY PUPPY CLASS 3 months of age and under 6 months of age on the day of the show. STUD DOG & GET - This class is for a stud dog and two or more of his get. The stud dog may be spayed/neutered and must be entered in a regular class or exhibition only. The get must be entered in one of the regular classes. BROOD BITCH & PROGENY - This class is for a brood bitch and two or more of her progeny. The same requirements as the Stud Dog and Get class. 5

6 OBEDIENCE CLASSES: No dog may be entered in both Novice A and Novice B at same trial or Open A and Open B at same trial. Note: trainer refers to any person who conducts or has conducted a dog obedience training class or who regularly assists with the training of dogs in said class or who regularly trains dogs belonging o any person outside his/her immediate family. PRE-NOVICE - The Pre-Novice class is an elective class and earning the title is not a requirement to enter Novice classes. The Pre-Novice class shall be for any recognized or listed breed which has not earned the title of P.C.D. Dogs in this class may be handled by the owner or any other person A person may enter more than one dog in this class. The same handler must handle each dog in all 5 exercises unless he has 2 or more dogs entered. In such cases, he must have an additional handler for each extra dog when thy are judged together in the group exercise. Only dogs that have not earned the title of C.D> may enter the Pre-Novice class. NOVICE A - The Novice A class shall be for any dog of any recognized or listed breed which has not earned the title of C.D. Only one dog per handler is allowed in this class, and that person must handle the dog in all exercises. The handler of any dog in this class must be the owner, co-owner or a member of their immediate families. No person who has trained or exhibited a dog that earned a C.D.X. title shall be allowed to handle a dog in this class. NOVICE B - The Novice B class shall be for any dog of any recognized or listed breed which has not earned the title of C.D. Dogs in this class may be handled by the owner or any other person. A person may enter more than one dog in this class. The same handler must handle each dog in all 6 exercises unless he has 2 or ore dogs entered. In such cases, he must have an additional handler for each extra dog when they are judged together in the group exercises. NOVICE C - The Novice C class shall be for any dog of any recognized or listed breed that has earned the title C.D. or any higher obedience titles. Dogs in this class may be handled by the owner or any other person. A person may enter more than one dog in this class. The same handler must handle each dog in all 6 exercises unless he has 2 or more dog entered. In such cases, he must have an additional handler for each extra dog when they are judged together in the group exercises. Dogs may compete in Novice C indefinitely. Scores earned by dogs in the Novice C class are not eligible for High In Trial and do not qualify a dog for any title. Dogs may be entered in the Novice C class in addition to any other official or unofficial classes for which they are eligible. NOVICE INTERMEDIATE - The Novice Intermediate class is an elective class and earning title is not a requirement to enter the Open classes. The Novice Intermediate class shall be of any dog of any recognized or listed breed that has earned a C.D. or any higher obedience trial titles. Dogs in this class may be handled by the owner or any other person. A person may enter more than one dog in this class The same handler must handle the dog in all 6 exercises. Dogs may compete in the Novice Intermediate class indefinitely. Scores earned by dogs competing in this class are not eligible for High in Trial. Dogs may be entered in the Novice Intermediate class in addition to any other official or unofficial classes for which they are eligible. OPEN A - The Open A class shall be for any dog of any recognized or listed breed which has earned the title of C.D. but has not earned the title C.D.X. The handler of any dog in this class must be the owner, co-owner or member of their immediate families. Only one dog per handler is allowed in this class, and that person must handle the dog in all exercises. Any person who has trained or exhibited a dog that has earned a U.D. title may not handle a dog in this class. OPEN B - The Open B class shall be for any dog of any recognized or listed breed which has earned the title of C.D. Dogs which have earned the title of C.D.X. or any higher titles may enter in the Open B class. A dog may also be entered in the Utility Class in the same trial. Dogs in this class may be handled by the owner or any other person. A person may enter or handle more than one dog in this class. The same handler must handle each dog in all 7 exercises unless he has 2 or more dogs entered. In such cases, he must have an additional handler for each extra dog when they are judged together in the group exercises. Prior to the start of judging, the judge will choose which of the six numbered routines is to be performed. This choice will not be disclosed to the exhibitors until it is posted at a ring side at least 30 minutes before the start of the class. In future assignments, judges are required to alternate the six routines so that each set will be used approximately he same number of times. UTILITY A - The Utility A class shall be for any dog of any recognized or listed breed which has earned the title of C.D.X. but has not earned the title of U.D. Any person who has trained or exhibited a dog that has earned a M.O.T.Ch. title may not handle dogs in this class. The handler of any dog in this class must be the owner or member of the immediate family. Owners may enter more than one dog in this class. The same person must handle the dog in all exercises. UTILITY B - The Utility B class shall be for any dog of any recognized or listed breed which has earned the title C.D.X. or U.D. Dogs in this class my be handled by the owner or any other person. Owners may enter more than one dog in this class. The same person must handle the dog in all exercises. A dog may continue to compete in this class after the owner has been notified by at least 2 different judges that the dog has won 3 qualifying scores in this class. However a dog may not be entered or exhibited in this class in any rally trial after the owner has received official notification form the CKC that the dog has won the title. RALLY NOVICE B - Any dog may compete in this class until a qualifying score in the Rally Advanced class is earned. The owner or any other person may handle dogs in this class. A person may enter more than one dog in this class. All exercises are judged on leash, and all dogs must enter and leave the ring on leash. RALLY INTERMEDIATE - This class shall be for dogs that have earned the R.N. title. A dog completing the R.I. or any other obedience or rally titles may continue to compete in this class indefinitely. The owner or any other person may handle dog in this class. A person may enter more than one dog in this class. RALLY ADVANCED A - This class shall be for dogs that have won the Rally Novice (R.N.) title but have not won the Rally Advanced (R.A.) title or any CKC Novice Obedience title. No handler who has exhibited a dog through its CKC Companion Dog Excellent (C.D.X.) title or instructed dog training classes shall be eligible to enter this class. No handler who has exhibited a dog through its CKC Companion Dog Excellent (C.D.X.) title or instructed dog training classes shall be eligible to enter this class. The handler of any dog in this case must be the owner, the co-owner, or a member of their immediate families. A person may enter more than one dog in this class, A dog may continue to compete in this class after the owner has been notified by at least 2 different judges that the dog has won 3 qualifying scores in this class.however, a dog may not be entered or exhibited in this class in any rally trial after the owner has received official notification from the CKC that the dog has won the title. RALLY EXCELLENT B - This class will be for dogs that have won the Rally Advanced (R.A.) title. A dog completing the Rally Excellent (R.E.) title may continue to compete in this class indefinitely. The owner or any other person may handle dogs in this class, A person may enter more than one dog in this class. All exercises are judged off leash except the Honor Exercise. All dogs must enter and leave the ring on lash. 7

8 CANADIAN KENNEL CLUB SCHEDULE OF CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS SECTION 1. A dog awarded WINNERS at a Championship show held under these Dog Show Rules shall be credited with a number of championship points (ranging from 0 to 5) and the determination of the number of championship points to be credited to a dog awarded WINNERS shall be provided hereunder. SECTION 2. The schedule to be employed in the determination of the number of points to be allocated to a dog awarded WINNERS shall be as follows: (*Includes the dog awarded Winners.) Dogs Competing* to 5 6 to 9 10 to or more Points Allocated* To determine the number of championship points earned by a dog awarded Winners, total all the dogs in competition which the dog defeated, directly or indirectly, for the highest of the following official breed awards: Winners, Best of Winners, Best of Breed or Best of Opposite Sex and then consult the schedule set forth above. A dog that is disqualified, dismissed, excused or ordered from the ring by the judge shall not be included in the calculation for championship points. Further section {C} has been added and states the dog must: have earned at least one 2 point win either at the breed level or group level. The system provides for additional points if a dog awarded winners also places in the Group as listed beside. A class Dog awarded Best In Show at an all-breed championship show will be credited with five points inclusive of any points earned at the breed or group level. In no case may a dog earn more than five (5) points at a single show. To earn a Canadian Championship, a dog must earn at least ten championship points under at least three different judges; and be individually registered with the Canadian Kennel Club, or have a CKC Event Registration Number (ERN). GENERAL RULES GOVERNING THESE SHOWS Breeds Competing GROUP GROUP GROUP GROUP At Group Level : FIRST SECOND THIRD FOURTH 13 or more Breeds to 12 Breeds to 9 Breeds Breeds Breeds Breeds Breeds Breed It is the responsibility of the Exhibitor to be familiar with the rules pertaining to the event in which they are competing. Copies of the Conformation Rule book are available from : Canadian Kennel Club Ronson Dr., Etobicoke, ON M9W 5Z9 1. The Club reserves the right to remove any person from the show. The Show Superintendent shall have full control of the above shows and trials, which will be governed by CKC rules. 2. Any dog excused by the Show Superintendent or the Show Veterinarian for any reason shall not, after being excused, compete in any class for any award for the balance of the show. 3. The show committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of accident, or other misfortune, to either dogs, exhibitors or patrons. 8

9 4. A Judge or any person participating in any capacity at a Dog Show held under CKC Rules shall not be subjected to any indignity of any kind during the progress of the show and it shall be the duty and obligation of the Club holding the show to see that this rule is effectively carried out. The Show Superintendent shall promptly report to the CKC any infringement of the rules, and the Discipline Committee shall have the power to take such action as it deems fit on receipt of a report indicating that this rule has been violated. 5. Exhibitors are solely responsible for the conduct or actions of their animals while they are on the show grounds. 6. DOGS MUST BE READY FOR JUDGING. The Club will not be responsible for and is not obligated to provide any service for notifying owners or agents of breed or class judging. No ring shall be held up waiting for exhibitors or handlers. Exhibitors & Handlers with more than one dog shall have substitute handlers available so the judging will not be delayed. All start times are PACIFIC DAYLIGHT TIME. 7. The owner of a dog entered in these shows is entirely responsible for any error in entering his/her dog, regardless of how or by whom the entry was made. 8. A dog once disqualified for any reason at a championship show held under these rules cannot again be shown at a show held under these rules until the dog has been examined by an official committee appointed by the CKC and the committee finds the dog is free from the condition which prompted the disqualification. Application for reinstatement must be accompanied by a fee of $50.00 plus GST which shall be forfeited to the CKC if the examining committee is satisfied that the dog should remain disqualified. All awards earned at a dog show in violation of this rule shall be canceled by the CKC and the owner of the dog is subject to disciplinary action. 9. Exhibitors and handlers will be responsible for their dogs and for their equipment left at the Show Grounds. 10. For the benefit of the health of animals and the pleasure of the exhibitors and spectators we insist upon keeping our grounds and buildings as clean as possible. Exhibitors are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs. Please exercise your dog BEFORE taking it to the Judging ring. Dogs are to be exercised in the designated areas only, not in the vicinity of the ring areas. Dogs must be on leash. 11. No entry fee will be refunded if the Show cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, and Act of God, public emergency, act of public enemy, strikes or any other cause beyond the control of the Club. 12. Entry fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by the Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee. Effective January 1, 2010 a ramp must be available to judges (at their discretion) for examination of low, heavy-set breeds in accordance with CKC Conformation Rules and Regulations. ADDITIONAL CLUB RULES: No generators are to be run before 6:30 am or after 10:30 pm. No tents, canopies, grooming tables or set ups within 25 feet of the show rings. Exhibitors will be responsible for cleaning up after their dogs. Violators will be asked to leave the show grounds. Dogs are not permitted to be exercised off leash on any of the Hazelmere grounds at any time. There will be no access to the show grounds, except for committee members,until 2:00 pm Thursday, July 14, 2016 unless prior arrangements with Jane Christy. The Club is not responsible for lost or stolen property from exhibitors or vendors/concessions. The Club will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of accident or misfortune to either dogs, exhibitors, spectators or vendors. MOVING A CLASS DOG TO SPECIALS A dog which is individually registered in the records of the CKC or that has a Miscellaneous Certification Number (MCN) and has completed the requirements for a championship in accordance with these rules but at the time of closing of entries for show has not received confirmation of the title, may be transferred from one of the regular classes to Specials Only providing the transfer is submitted to the Show Secretary in writing by the owner or handler at least one (1) hour prior to the start of the show for which the dog is being moved up to. CHAPTER JUDGES EXTRACTS FROM THE CONFORMATION SHOW RULES & REGULATIONS A judge officiating at a show under these rules shall not be subjected to any indignities of any kind during the progress of the show, and it shall be the duty and obligation of the club holding the show to see this rule is effectively enforced. CHAPTER 8 ENTRIES AND ENTRY FEES Section Every dog entered in Championship Shows held under these rules must be registered, have an Event Registration Number, eligible for registration with the CKC or have a CKC Miscellaneous Class Certification number issued by the CKC Chief Registrar. If a dog is not registered individually in the CKC it may be entered at a show, held under these rules, as a listed dog, provided a) It is not a CKC listed breed c) If foreign born and owned, an Event Registration Number or CKC registration number is obtained from b) If born in Canada, is eligible for individual registration the CKC within 30 days of the first show entered. A listing fee must accompany the entry of a listed dog at a show held under these rules. Section 8.2: INCOMPLETE ENTRIES Entry forms which are incomplete or those that contain incorrect information after the closing date of entries will be void and under no circumstances can changes be made. Any dog taking a win resulting from such an entry will result in the wins being cancelled. Section 8.6.2: DISHONOURED CHEQUE Tendering of a dishonored cheque or credit card in payment of entry fees shall be considered non-payment of entry fees. Clubs may refuse to accept entries from any exhibitor who have been known to tender dishonoured cheques in payment of entry fees unless such entries are accompanied by a money order, cash or certified cheque. CHAPTER 14 DISQUALIFICATION Section : A dog once disqualified for any reason at a Championship show held under these rules cannot again be shown or entered at a show held under these rules unless and until said dog has been reinstated by the CKC. All awards earned by a dog shown in violation of this section will be cancelled by the CKC and the owner of said dog is subject to disciplinary action. Note: for any further information on reinstatement refer to Chapter 14, Section 3 of the Conformation Show Rules and Regulations CHAPTER 5 SHOW OFFICIALS Section 5.1.5: A show-giving club will be held responsible during the show for the conduct of exhibitors and spectators. Any person acting in an abusive or objectionable manner must be removed from the show on complaint to the Show Superintendent. 10

11 SPECIALTY CONFORMATION SHOW/LIMITED ENTRY ALL-BREED OBEDIENCE & RALLY TRIALS *** HAZELMERE RV PARK TH AVE SURREY B.C. EVENT REGISTRATION NUMBERS:Effective Jan/1992 all dogs that are foreign-born and foreign- owned and enter Canada for the sole purpose of entering CKC (Canadian Kennel Club) events will no longer require a CKC registration number but will require an ERN - Event 3Registration Number. This ERN does not register a dog with CKC for breeding purposes as defined in the Animal Pedigree Act but rather enables a foreign-owned dog to be awarded titles by the Canadian Kennel Club. Each dog must have its own number. To obtain an ERN, mail or fax a photocopy of the dog's foreign registration certificate with cheque or VISA/MasterCard number (expiry date, cardholder's name and signature). Provide your complete address for return of the ERN to you. Cost is $59.40 plus 5% GST. ERN MUST BE APPLIED FOR WITHIN 30 DAYS OF FIRST DAY OF ENTERING A CKC EVENT. A CKC ERN registration form can be downloaded from the CKC website: CCN NUMBER allows mixed breeds and unrecognized breed dogs to participate in the CKC Performance Events: Agility; Obedience and Rally Obedience. To enter any Trial, the dog MUST have a CC Number. A dog is this category may not be entered as Listed. The application form for the CCN can be found on the CKC website, under Forms ON-Line, Registration. For more information and to register, go to this link: THE AUTHORITIES OF ANY SHOW MAY: (A) Decline to accept entries for just cause and/or Overnight RV Prepaid Parking at Show Site: (B) Refuse to receive or may remove any dog from the show grounds on account of disease or viciousness. In the case of Non-acceptance, the fee shall be returned with the reason for non-acceptance. No one shall have claim or recourse against the organization holding the show, or any official connected therewith for the refusal of any entry. CANADIAN KENNEL CLUB NON MEMBER PARTICIPATION FEE (April 2011) A non member participation fee will be charged to a resident of Canada who is a non-member of the CKC. The non member participation fee is paid in any year a title is earned and covers all titles and dogs owned by that individual. In order for the title to be awarded, the non member will have a choice to either become a CKC member or pay the non member participation fee. Failure to comply within 30 days of notification will result in the title being withheld and the dog cannot be moved up to the next level. The fee applies only to dogs wholly owned by non-member residents of Canada and is not applicable to CKC members. Limited RV parking spaces on site are available. MUST BE PRE-PAID TO RESERVE SPOT.
