2 SWEEPSTAKES Judge: Lorraine Norris Sweepstakes is open to alll Chesapeake Bay Retrievers 3 months and under 18 months on the day of the Sweepstakes 2 (TWO) LICENSED ALL-BREED OBEDIENCE TRIALS SUNDAY, AUGUST 31, 2014 Dogs and Bitches must also be entered in one of the regular official classes at this Specialty. The following Classes, divided by sex, will be provided: Baby Puppy 3 months and under 6 months Junior Puppy 6 months and under 9 months Senior Puppy 9 months and under 12 months Intermediate 12 months and under 15 months Open 15 months and under 18 months All class winners willl compete for Best in Sweepstakes and Best of Opposite Sex in Sweepstakes. Entry fee: $35.00 st th Rosettes will be awarded for 1 place through to 4 place in each class. st Prizes will be awarded for 1 place only in each class. High in Trial will receive a Rosette and A Prize. Bitches in season are not permitted to compete under C.K.C. Rules. We will refund all entry and listing fees if a biich comes into season after closing date, upon presentation of a veterinarian s certificate, certifying the bitch was in season within the 10-day period preceding the trials. This certificate must be delivered to or reach the Trial Secretary before the trial commences. 3 CHAMPIONS & CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS SECTION 1: A dog awarded WINNERS at a championship show held under these Dog Show Rules shall be credited with a number of championship points (ranging from 0 to 5) and the determination of the number of championship points to be credited to a dog awarded WINNERS shall be as provided hereunder. SECTION 2: The schedule to be employed in the determination of the number of points to be allocated a dog awarded WINNERS shall be as follows: Dogs Competing: or more POINTS ALLOCATED* *Includes the dog awarded WINNERS ATTENTION ALL FOREIGN EXHIBITORS To obtain an ERN simply do the following: - Send a photocopy of the dog's registration certificate reflecting current ownership - with a written request for an ERN. - Include full payment in the amount of $57.60 plus applicable tax. Accounts may be paid with personal or business cheque, money order, Visa or Mastercard. For Non-Members please note that if paying by cheque, the cheque must be certified. Non-residents of Canada please note that discounted cheques or money orders will not be accepted due to fluctuating currency rates. - Provide us with your full return address. - Faxed requests will be accepted. Please include your VISA/MasterCard number, expiry date, cardholder's name and signature. - An ERN must be obtained within 30 day of obtaining points, awards or scores to avoid cancellation. ATTENTION FOREIGN EXHIBITORS Please note that fees are due and payable in Canadian dollars. Due to consistently fluctuating currency rates, discounted cheques will not be accepted. Personal cheques will be accepted, however, they are to be payable in Canadian funds. If you send a cheque in US funds, it must be made out for the full amount of the entry and no exchange will be refunded to the exhibitor. Please do not mark cheques Payable in Canadian Funds or At Par. They will not be cleared by the banks. In order for the title to be awarded, the non-member will have a choice to either become a CKC member or pay the Non-Member Participation Fee. Failure to comply within 30 days of notification will result in the title being withheld and the dog cannot be moved up to the next level. (For a Membership application, please go to under CKC Services and Forms On-Line). The Non-Member Participation Fee is fee paid in the calendar year (January December) in which the dog achieved its title and/or titles. GENERAL INFORMATION! All entry confirmations and Judging Schedules will be mailed or ed as soon as possible after entries close.! It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO VERIFY the receipt of any electronic entries prior to the advertised closing date. A valid means of payment must accompany all entries.! Refunds will not be given for anyone double entering the same dog.! All exhibitors should review Section 4 - Judges - General, also section 1.3 of the CKC Conformation Rules & Regulations, "It shall be the duty and obligation of the show giving club to see that a judge, club official, volunteer, or any participant at an event held under these rules is not subjected to indignities...".! Exhibitors must abide by errors made in entering their dogs regardless of how or by whom the entry was made.! It is the exhibitor's responsibility to have the dog in the ring when the dog's class is called to be judged.! The Chesapeake Bay Retriever Club of Canada, its officers & associates will use due care & diligence for the welfare of dogs, spectators, and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of an accident, or misfortune, to either dogs, exhibitors or patrons. If because of riots, civil disturbances, or other acts beyond the control of the management, and it is impossible to open or complete the show, no refund of entry fees will be made.! The Show Superintendent will be in complete charge of the show and / or trial, which will be governed by the rules of the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC)! SHOW PRECINCTS - 30 feet from each ring! Diane Edwards Show Services will only collect and utilize data and information that you provide us, and only for the purposes of the service we provide, exhibitors entering a CKC (Canadian Kennel Club) event, and the subsequent documents generated for this event, and required by the CKC. The type and accuracy of the information is solely contingent upon what you voluntarily provide us with. We will not use or disclose personal information for the purposed other than those for which it was collected, except with consent or as required by law. All dogs must be crated and owners are responsible for clean-up after their dogs on motel grounds. Please co-operate, we want the motels to welcome our exhibitors and their dogs next year. BABY PUPPY : a dog between 3 mos. & under 6 mos. on day of show JUNIOR PUPPY: a dog between 6 mos. & under 9 mos. on day of show SENIOR PUPPY: a dog between 9 mos. & under 12 mos. on day of show MONTH: a dog between 12 mos. & under 18 mos. on day of show CANADIAN BRED: a dog which is born in Canada BRED BY EXHIBITOR: handler of the dog is also the breeder & owner OPEN CLASS: for all dogs VETERANS CLASS: for all dogs over seven years of age as fo the date fo the show. These dogs to compete for the regular placements, and the 1st place Dog and Bitch will go on to compete for Best of Breed. The winner of the Veterans Class will not compete for points but go directly into the Best of Breed competition. Dogs entered in this class may be spayed or neutered. Look for signs on routes as you get close to the site. FROM THE EAST: follow Highway 7 wst of Lindsay approximately 10 kim to the hamlet of Oakwood. Turn north (right) at the traffic lights in Oakwood and follow the Oakwood Road to a "T" junction. At the "T" junction, turn left onto Woodville Road 9. Drive approximately 2.4 km (1.5 miles) and turn north (right) onto Prospect Road. Follow the road north to show grounds (1374 Prospect Road), located on the east (right) side of the road. FROM THE WEST: follow Highway 7 east to the hamlet of Oakwood. Turn north (left) at the traffic lights in Oakwood and folllow the Oakwood Road to a "T" jundtion. At the "T" junction, turn left onto Woodville Road 9. drive approximately 2.4 km (1.5 miles) and turn north (right) onto Prospect Road. Follow the road north to show grounds (1374 Prospect Road), located on the east (right) side of the road. FROM THE NORTH: follow Highway 12 south and turn east (left) onto Highway 48 East. Drive through Bolsover. Turn south (right) onto the third road on the right (Prospect Road).
