During the first 48 hours after opening, the initial limit of entries designated as either online or paper will be as follows: 160 online entries and 500 paper entries each day. If either form of entry (paper or online) has not filled at the end of the 48 hour time period, the club reserves the right to decrease or increase either one accordingly. preliminary and final confirmations will be sent to those listing a legible address on the entry form. No entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any conditions as to its acceptance. Illegible entries will not be processed and will be returned to the exhibitor. Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry and the Trial Secretary will add a $25.00 collection fee to the amount of each returned check. Please consult the AKC Regulations for Agility Trials for a complete description and eligibility for entry into these classes. The exhibitor is fully responsible for entering the dog in the correct class(es)/height divisions. Dogs running in a lower height division than they are eligible for will be eliminated. All exhibitors should obtain a copy of the Regulations for Agility Trials by downloading them from the American Kennel Club website at AFTER CLOSING DATE WAIT LIST After the closing date, MHGRC is offering a Wait List to fill openings created by withdrawn entries after closing. A maximum of 25 dogs per day will be placed on the wait list. All entries, including wait listed entries, must be received by the Trial Secretary prior to June 23, 2017, 5PM. Any entries withdrawn prior to SUNDAY, July 2, 2017 at 5PM, will be replaced by a wait list entry when available. A full refund will be given to withdrawn entries when wait listed entries are available to replace the pulled entry. Any wait list entry that does not move off the wait list into the trial by July 2, PM will receive a full refund. MOVE UPS AND CLASS CHANGES From Chapter 1, Section 20: Move-Up entries will be accepted for dogs that have completed a title after the closing date June 23, notification of move up or class change is acceptable, with return receipt verification from the secretary. Either Move Up forms or s must be completed and delivered to the Trial Secretary prior to 6 PM, July 3, Move-up entries for Saturday or Sunday must be delivered to the Trial Secretary within 30 minutes of the conclusion of judging of the class they are moving up from. Dogs so moved up will run at the end of the running order. Move-ups can only be accepted if judging limits are not exceeded. Entry move-up valid only if the dog was already entered in the Event indicated and only if approved by the Trial Secretary. Dogs moved up will run at the end of the class running order. Effective February 1, 2017 Regulations for Agility Trials: Chapter 1, Section 21. Change of Entry. In addition to Move-ups as described in Chapter 1, Section 20 entries may also be changed as noted in this section. A dog which has been entered in a Novice A class for which it is not eligible to be entered in due to class restrictions on the dog or handler may be moved to the Novice B class under the following conditions: The request for the move must be in writing and presented to the superintendent or trial secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the start of each trial. The request must state the reason and justification for the move from a Novice A class to the Novice B class. After the close of entries a dog may be moved down in their class level (i.e., Master to Excellent). The request for the move to the class for which the dog is eligible must be in writing and submitted to the superintendent or trial secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the trial. If a VMO or Field Representative at a trial measures a dog into a height other than what they entered, the entry may be changed from Regular to Preferred or from Preferred to Regular, as long as the dog has not run any classes that day. If the dog has already run, the change may be made for the next trial day(s). The exhibitor must provide the Trial Secretary the AKC Agility Measurement Form when requesting the class change. HEIGHT DIVISIONS Effective January 1, 2010, exhibitors are no longer required to provide proof to Trial Secretaries that their dog has a valid jump height card as part of the check-in process. Furthermore, this change eliminates the need for a copy of the jump height card to be submitted with an entry form. Dogs without a valid Jump Height Card/Form may still compete; but they must be measured/wicketed by the Judge of Record PRIOR to running in their class and this measurement will be valid for that weekend of trials only. The exception to this requirement is a dog entered in the 24 or 26 height division. However, if a Volunteer Measuring Official (VMO) or an Agility Field Rep is present; ALL dogs without a valid Jump Height Card/Form must be measured at some time during the trial or cluster of trials. This does not preclude having the dog wicketed by the Judge of Record if the VMO or Rep is not available to measure the dog before its first run of the trial or cluster of trials. It is the exhibitor s responsibility to have their dog measured prior to running and failure to do so will result in the cancellation of any qualifying scores. Are You Entered In The Right Height? Preferred Classes Jump Height at Withers Regular Class Jump Heights Heights Owners are responsible for entering their dog in the proper height division. For dogs measuring Exhibitors may choose to enter their dog in a higher height division than required by AKC, but not in a height division lower than the AKC mandated height. COURSE FAMILIARIZATION & TIMING Handlers in all classes are permitted to walk the course, without a dog, during a walk-through period held prior to the start of the class. The walk-through is restricted to handlers entered in that class only. Handlers with multiple dogs, at events with multiple rings may request to walk with a height group other than the one their dog is entered in if a conflict is imminent. A warm-up area, consisting of a regulation agility jump, may be provided for exhibitors. The warm-up area is to be used exclusively for warming up the dog and not for training or relieving of the dog. Umbrellas are not allowed on the course during the walk thru. Electronic timing devices may be used. OBSTACLES Obstacles will meet the specifications for obstacles in the current edition of the Regulations for Agility Trials. All classes will take place indoors on a dirt surface. This trial will be held indoors, in two dirt rings, run concurrently. AWARDS Placement Ribbons will be awarded for the first through fourth place in each height division of each class for Standard Agility Classes and Jumpers with Weaves classes. First Place Blue Ribbon Second Place Red Ribbon Third Place Yellow Ribbon Forth Place White Ribbon A green qualifying ribbon will be given to all qualifying dogs. Dogs must receive a qualifying score to receive placement awards. SPECIAL AWARDS The following will also be awarded at our trials.

3 Titling Ribbons MACH or PACH Titling Rosette and MACH or PACH Bar (all MACH/PACHs) Dogs earning MACH1 or PACH1 will receive a personalized Rosette from MHGRC. Owners must fill out dog s information accurately at the Secretary s Office/Table. Any dog receiving a MACH or PACH that is beyond their first title will receive a non-personalized MACH/PACH Rosette. Delivery of personalized rosettes will be arranged after completion, and optimally delivered by hand at a future trial. All prizes must be claimed the day of the trial. None will be mailed. AREA ACCOMMODATIONS AND ROUTES TO TRIAL Please check with Hotels for current information regarding fees and pet policies. MHGRC doesn t guarantee availability at these hotels. You are REQUIRED to clean up after your dog at all of these motels. All dogs should be aired on lead. DO NOT leave dogs unattended inside motel rooms. Please crate your dogs while in motel rooms. The future for using these motels for all Dog Sports is in your hands. PLEASE do not damage any motel rooms or their surrounding areas. Your cooperation will ensure the future availability of the area motels. Failure to comply with these simple courtesies is grounds for a show committee, which can result in suspension of AKC privileges and prohibit participation in all future MHGRC events. RV s: A limited number of RV spaces with hook ups are available for $15.00/night. Reservations taken on a first received basis and MUST be received by July 1, Spaces will be assigned. ONLY designated areas are allowed and MUST be used for any event RV Parking at the Douglas County Facility. ALL RV's MUST be pre-registered and paid in advance, including dry camping and day parking. RV's without reservations will be required to park outside the fence in Lot #1 RV's with reservations will receive confirmation and parking information prior to the event. Dry Camping RV's with generators must have exhaust diverters. This is a high fire danger area so please act responsibly and report any abuse immediately. Mile-Hi Golden Retriever Club does not guarantee availability at these motels or RV facilities. ROUTES TO THE TRIAL Just a few minutes South of Denver and easily accessible from I-25. Exit I-25 at Castle Rock exit 181 (Plum Creek Parkway turn east). Follow Plum Creek Parkway (approximately 1 mile), turn left (North) at Fairgrounds Drive, and follow road North to indoor events center located to the West of the main building. Use Gate E to enter area. Parking will be on East and West ends of building. SAFETY, BEHAVIOR and LIABILITY EXHIBITOR INFORMATION The safety of the dog is our primary concern. By entering this trial, exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport, and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all obstacles safely. It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create an unnecessary disturbance or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the trial committee, be asked to leave the show site. In such case, no refund of any fees paid will be made. The Mile-Hi Golden Retriever Club and its agents, employees, etc., will assume no responsibilities for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors or handlers, or to any of their dogs or property and further assumes no responsibility for injury to children. The Mile-Hi Golden Retriever Club reserves the right to decline entries for cause and may remove any dog on account of aggression. No one shall have any recourse or claim against the Mile-Hi Golden Retriever Club or any official thereof. All dogs must be on leash at all times when on trial grounds except when in the designated warm-up area or competing on the course. All regulations governing the use of this facility, and all regulations and decisions of the Event Committee at this trial will be strictly enforced, including and not limited to the recorded information of this premium list. Puppies under 4 months of age are prohibited at AKC Agility Trials. This club does not agree to arbitrate claims as set forth on the Official AKC entry form for this event. ENTRY ELIGIBILITY Breeds Eligible: All AKC-Recognized Breeds This trial is open to all dogs 15 months and older that are registered with the American Kennel Club or have obtained an AKC ILP/PAL number. Dogs should be physically sound. Dogs that are blind shall not be eligible, and neither are bitches in season, aggressive dogs, or dogs suffering from any deformity, injury, or illness which may affect the dog s physical or mental performance. No dog shall compete if it is taped or bandaged in any way or has anything attached to it for medical purposes. Refer to Chapter 2 of the Registration and Discipline Rules for the listing of registerable breeds that may participate. Dogs with a Purebred Alternative Listing/Indefinite Listing Privileges (PAL/ILP) or an AKC Canine Partners listing number (in trials allowing mixed breed entries) must be spayed or neutered in order to compete. Wherever the word dog is used in these regulations it includes both sexes. Canine Partners are not allowed entry into this set of trials. AKC Recognized breeds only. Dogs should be physically sound. Dogs that are blind or deaf shall not be eligible, and neither are bitches in season, aggressive dogs, or dogs suffering from any deformity, injury, or illness which may affect the dog s physical or mental performance. No dog shall compete if it is taped or bandaged in any way or has anything attached to it for medical purposes. REFUNDS No entry fee will be refunded if the trial cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, an act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, or any other cause beyond the control of the organizing committee. No entry fee will be refunded in the event a dog is absent, disqualified, excused, or barred from competition by the action of the Event Committee. Bitches in season are not permitted to compete in AKC Agility Trials. The Club will issue a refund for the trial entries, less a $10.00/ entered day processing fee. Chapter 1, Section 9 of the Regulations for Agility Trials, states, Females in season must be fully refunded if withdrawn by the Trial Secretary after closing and no later than one half hour prior to the start of the first class of the day of the trial. The club may retain a processing fee and must publish this information in the premium (no fee is paid to the American Kennel Club for females in season who are withdrawn). RINGSIDE Dogs may arrive any time prior to judging. If a measurement is necessary, it is the exhibitor s responsibility to have their dog(s) measured prior to running. All dogs not needed for further judging will be excused. Judges are not required to wait for dogs. The Owner of each dog is solely responsible for having it ready at ringside when it is to be judged. The Club has no responsibility for providing service through a public address system or stewards or runners for the purpose of calling or locating dogs that are not brought into the ring when required. Food will be available for purchase. Please keep dogs away from horses at all times.

4 CRATING and SEATING Crating areas will be provided on the arena floor. No crating allowed in bleachers, bleacher area, or walkways. No chairs will be allowed in the crating areas. There is ample bleacher seating available. The Event Committee reserves the right to regulate and rearrange crating arrangements. PARKING Exhibitors are governed by any rules or regulations of civil authorities and building and parking regulations. Vehicles parked contrary to regulations will be subject to towing at owner s expense. PLEASE NOTE: A limited number of handicap spaces are available. They will be available on a first-come basis. A valid handicap plate must be on each vehicle using these spaces. Parking in front of building is limited to those with handicapped permits and unloading only. THESE SPACES WILL NOT ACCOMMODATE MOTOR HOMES. Club officials may require that vehicles or equipment be rearranged to accommodate additional vehicles. Area around vehicles MUST be kept clean at all times. All vehicles will be parked at owner s risk. Douglas County Fairgrounds and Mile Hi Golden Retriever Club will not be responsible for loss by burglary, fire, or any other cause whatsoever to the vehicle or its contents. CATALOGS A limited number of catalogs will be available for sale at the trial site for a cost of $5.00. Running order sheets will be ed to exhibitors with final confirmations and posted at Exhibitors who wish to have a copy at the trial should print their own copy and bring it to the trial. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry, I (we) agree to abide by the rules and regulations of The American Kennel Club in effect at the time of this event, and any additional rules and regulations appearing in the premium list of this event and entry form and any decision made in accord with them. I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient. I (we) certify and represent that the dog entered is not a hazard to persons or other dogs. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog. I (WE) AGREE THAT ANY CAUSE OF ACTION, CONTROVERSY OR CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE ENTRY, EXHIBITION OR ATTENDANCE AT THE EVENT BETWEEN THE AKC AND THE EVENT-GIVING CLUB (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED IN THIS PREMIUM LIST) AND MYSELF (OURSELVES) OR AS TO THE CONSTRUCTION, INTERPRETATION AND EFFECT OF THIS AGREEMENT SHALL BE SETTLED BY ARBITRATION PURSUANT TO THE APPLICABLE RULES OF THE AMERICAN ARBITRATION ASSOCIATION. HOWEVER, PRIOR TO ARBITRATION ALL APPLICABLE AKC BYLAWS, RULES, REGULATIONS AND PROCEDURES MUST FIRST BE FOLLOWED AS SET FORTH IN THE AKC CHARTER AND BYLAWS, RULES, REGULATIONS, PUBLISHED POLICIES AND GUIDELINES. INSTRUCTIONS Handlers may opt to enter in a higher height division for all Regular titling classes, but not in a division lower than their proper height division. Dogs entered in the Preferred classes must compete at the required jump height and may not compete in a jump height division higher or lower than their proper height division. All dogs that have not been officially measured for an Agility Jump Height Card may still compete; however, they must be measured by a Judge of record, an Agility Field Representative, or a Volunteer Measuring Official, prior to running. If measured by the Judge of record, that measurement will be valid for this trial or back-to-back trials only. If a measurement is necessary, it is the exhibitor's responsibility to have their dog(s) measured prior to running. Dogs listed in the AKC Canine Partners SM program may be eligible to enter all-breed AKC agility trials at the club s option. These dogs should be listed as All American Dog and must include their AKC number on the entry form and check the AKC No. box. Junior Handlers should enter their Junior Handler number on the front of this form.
