Voting for Club Officers will take place during this meeting. Come One, Come All!! 9 Page 9 Nominees VCDFA Board of Directors NOMINEE FOR PRESIDENT Linda Whisenhunt My name is Linda Whisenhunt and I would like to continue as your VCDFA President. I started showing and breeding Great Pyrenees Dogs approximately 31 years ago when I was young, single and did not have children yet. I had ample time and energy to dedicate to doing my part to improve the breed. At that time I was a member of the Great Pyrenees Club of America and the Great Pyrenees Association of Southern California. I spent a considerable amount of my time working with the GPASC Recue by finding forever homes and being a Foster home for the rescued Great Pyrenees. In my mid 30 s, I met my husband, got married and had 2 children. Having been out of the dog show world for approximately 11 years, I was now ready to become involved again! I have also been handling many additional breeds, as well as Great Pyrenees and working with Carlos Carrizo and other handlers! I am a member of the Great Pyrenees Alliance of the West as well as the Great Pyrenees Club of America and, have served as the VCDFA Vice President as well as President. I look forward to continue working with the VCDFA in promoting canine activities as well as public education Thank you for again considering me for the VCDFA position of President. NOMINEE FOR VICE PRESIDENT Lori Frost I have been in dogs my entire life. I got my first dog for my 2nd birthday; a Cocker Spaniel. I started showing in the 70's with Golden Retrievers then switched to owning Australian Cattle Dogs in 1982, and added Cardigan Welsh Corgis in I have been past Vice President for VCDFA for several terms. I enjoy ring stewarding and judging.

10 Page 10 Nominees VCDFA Board of Directors NOMINEE FOR TREASURE Shirley Welch I have been a member of VCDFA for 18 years. I have served on the board, as a Director and am currently the treasurer of VCDFA and I am looking forward to continuing with the VCDFA. I have been showing and breeding dogs for about thirty one years in conformation and obedience and have had over fifty champion Saint Bernard s, Affenpinschers Toy Fox Terriers, and Tibbys. For 29 years I have also worked as the treasurer, bookkeeper and Secretary of Cal West Pruning Service, Inc. NOMINEE FOR RECORDING SECETARY Rhonda Todd I joined VCDFA in 1970 and as a new member my first show job was blowing up balloons, at 5:30 am, before the show started. I bred and showed Toy Poodles at that time. I am a licensed Animal Care & Grooming Vocational Instructor with the State of California and taught a class at California Youth Authority for 19 years. I am a Past President (5 terms) and have served in every position on the Board of Directors and on most of the various committees that make Ventura County Dog Fanciers Assoc. a successful club. While I have been a member of VCDFA, I have worked at almost every Event the club has hosted. It will be my pleasure to serve VCDFA in any way that I can. Continued.... 11 Page 11 Nominees VCDFA Board of Directors NOMINEE FOR CORRESPONDING SECRETARY Mary Ann Welch I am honored to be nominated by the committee as candidate for the position of Corresponding Secretary. I have worked as a Registered Nurse for 33 years, through that experience I have learned caring and problem solving. I know all these skills will be useful in any position I might hold for the Ventura County Dog Fancier. I have been a member of the VCDF for 17 years, have served on the Board of Directors, Membership Chair and, for the last 3 years as Corresponding Secretary. I also assist with ring Service and Education, have been Match Chair for several years, and have judged every group and Best In Match. I am involved in Conformation, Obedience and rescue. I belong to the Saint Bernard Club of America. The Affenpinscher Club of America and the Toy Fox Terrier Club. I look forward to again serving the VCDF as Corresponding Secretary. NOMINEE FOR BOARD OF DIRECTORS (THREE YEARS) Mike Lerchenmuler I have been involved with dogs my entire life. From an early age I have known the pleasure and responsibility of owning and caring for many breeds of dogs. In 2001, I was introduced to the Bulldog breed as a couple came along with my marriage to Kathy. I have participated in breeding Bulldogs since then. In 2008, we took the plunge and I started showing Bulldogs in Conformation. My first show was at Summerfest. In 2011, we decided to add a little spice to our lives and purchased our first French Bulldog. We now actively breed and show French Bulldogs in Conformation also. Along the way I have been active in the Bulldog and French Bulldog clubs. I am an active member of the Pacific Coast Bulldog Club, the Bulldog Club of America, the French Bulldog Fanciers of Southern California, the French Bulldog Club of America and now the Ventura County Dog Fanciers Association. I have served in various capacities for all the clubs. As a member of the Bulldog Club of America, I served the club as Secretary for many years. I have served as chair for various committees in the clubs and helped run many Specialty shows. I am familiar with the AKC process for show applications and approvals. As a member of VCDFA, I worked 2015 through 2017 as Grounds Committee Chair. Kathy and I joined VCDFA as it is a local AKC All Breed Club. We live in Camarillo, therefore it is very convenient for us to attend meetings, Board & Regular and participate in club events. I do feel I have the qualifications and experience to work with and assist the members of the Board.

12 Page 12 Nominees VCDFA Board of Directors NOMINEE FOR BOARD OF DIRECTORS (THREE YEARS) Peri Norman In 1970, I showed our family mixed breed at a 4-H fair. That marked the official beginning of my love of all things dog. I acquired my first show dog in 1971 and actively owned and trained Gordon Setters throughout my early years in dogs. In 1985, I acquired my first Belgians and began herding in I have worked on herding trials, hunting tests, obedience and rally trials, agility trials, tracking tests, all-breed shows, specialty shows, conferences and seminars. I ve even worked at the sled dog races! I began judging in I studied journalism in high school and college and have written about dogs for as long as I can remember. I worked in health care until about a couple of years ago when I began writing professionally. I love it! My special interests include children and dogs, and supporting and educating the dedicated hobby breeder. I am excited to continue working on behalf of the members of the Ventura County Dog Fanciers Association as a member of the board of directors. NOMINEE FOR BOARD OF DIRECTORS (ONE YEAR) Trixie Scantlin Thank you for considering me for the Board. I have been a member of different Obedience Clubs. I love all dogs, but my favorite breed is German Shepherds. It all started way back in Germany when I was little watching and then got to help my grandfather train German Shepherds for the police force. As you can probably tell I enjoy obedience and doggy sports and also enjoy helping in different capacities at dog shows.
