Sullivan Rd, Veradale, WA in Spokane Valley Purpose: Priest Lake Race Planning Inside this Issue: President s Message... 1 Meeting Minutes... 2 Classifieds... 3 The next club meeting is scheduled for Wednesday the 15th of January at the Shari's restaurant in Spokane Valley. This will be our final planning meeting prior to the 2014 Priest Lake Race. In addition to the club meeting, we are planning trail prep work parties for the Priest Lake Race. Please let us know if you are available. Mon Jan 20th, Fri Jan 24th, Sat Jan 25th, Thu Jan 30th, Fri Jan 31st. Little or non-existent snow in OR and CA has resulted in cancelled races. This means that Priest Lake may be one of the better snow races this year. I look forward to working with everyone to make this a great race. Introductions were made all around. Richard reviewed last meeting s minutes: -A motion to accept the minutes was approved. Bob reviewed the treasurer s report. -A motion to accept the report was approved. IESDA Meeting Minutes, December 4, 2013 Shari s in Spokane Valley Richard brought up new business: PNC is planning a retreat for next summer; the PNC rep (Jill) and club president (Richard) have been invited. Western Pleasure Guest Ranch has asked if anyone is interested in running their teams there to please let Richard know he has Janice s contact information. Cost is ~$5 per car. Richard has been contacted by 2 groups looking for sled dog rides. He will let Steve know. Priest Lake business: Paul Storro will do the plowing again. He will make sure the lot is plowed further as requested last year. Jim said groomer wants $225/day a motion to accept this payment was accepted. Jeanne is volunteering her lawn roller to use for flattening the trail edges. She will trade her bent one for her neighbor s good shape unit. Mike and son (and Brian) will provide snowmobiles for the weekend (three?). Chad volunteered to help with pre-race week trail grooming. Brian volunteered his travel trailer for printer power so we can print results sheets more comfortably Judy will be manning the sales booth. Silent auction please bring any dog related items you would like to donate for the silent auction to the sales booth Saturday. Bob mentioned Wendy wants to use orange plates in addition to red and blue plates. Everyone feels the difference between caution and hazard needs to be clearly communicated at the driver s meetings. Bob said Wendy wants a fixed start time for PeeWee and Teddy Bear classes.

Banquet room has been reserved in anticipation of a large turnout! 6:00PM no-host dinner, 7:00PM meeting start. Check with Jill about marketing the race on Facebook and local news media other than KREM. Ann: Send sponsor letter to club members. race flyers to club members. Make entry form changes as follows: Add 3 dog class Change late fee to $25 Change closing date to Wednesday January 29. Ann/Susie/Bob Coordinate banners (a motion for this was accepted). Meeting was adjourned at 8:55PM. Respectfully Submitted, Ann Yanecek IESDA Secretary IESDA Classifieds 7 Streeper-line Dogs (Hunter-Pointer Crosses): Hudson 8 yrs intact male has run lead but not strong lead Hope 8 yrs female spayed Bear 6 yrs intact male will run lead Ollicott 6 yrs intact male Tyee 6 yrs intact male Helen 6 yrs spayed female has run lead Janet 6 yrs spayed female Any of these dogs will make a great sprint team. Last year they ran 6 mid. Hope, Janet, Ollicott and Bear won at Chemult, Diamond and Bachelor Butte (5 dogs in a 7 dog class). Running homes preferred but not required.
