All entries received before this date will be returned. Overnight or certified mail must be sent with the No Signature Required waiver signed. No entry will be accepted after closing date. Envelopes/transactions containing entries for more than the ten (10) dog maximum and/or entries received prior to the opening date shall be treated as an invalid entry and shall be returned to sender. Entry fees will not be refunded in the event a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by veterinarian or judge, or barred from competition by action of the Trial Committee. 2

Corrections to entries (except move-ups) cannot be made after the trial closing date. Check your entries carefully! DOGS ELIGIBLE TO ENTER These trials are open to all dogs over the age of 12 months that are registered with the American Kennel Club or are of registerable breeds that have obtained AKC ILP numbers, except bitches in season (which are not permitted anywhere on trial grounds), aggressive dogs, blind or deaf dogs, no dogs suffering from any deformity, injury or illness which may affect the dog's physical or mental performance. HEIGHT DIVISIONS Owners are responsible for entering the proper height divisions. In the regular classes, handlers may opt to run in a higher height division. but not in a division lower than their height division. Dogs that run in a height division lower than their proper division will be eliminated. Preferred dogs must run in their measured height. The following jump heights shall be used in all agility trial classes: Regular classes Preferred classes 8 inches... for dogs 10 inches and under at the withers..4 inches 12 inches...for dogs 14 inches and under at the withers...8 inches 16 inches.. for dogs 18 inches and under at the withers.12 inches 20 inches.. for dogs 22 inches and under at the withers.16 inches 24 inches...for dogs over 22 inches at the withers..20 inches Obstacles will conform to current requirements of the AKC agility regulations. WALK-THROUGHS, COURSE FAMILIARIZATION AND WARM-UPS A walk-through period will be held prior to each class. The walk-through is restricted to handlers entered only in that class, and are done without a dog. There will be no obstacle familiarization at these trials. A warm-up area, consisting of one regulation agility jump, shall be provided for all exhibitors. 3 Friday, July 18 Saturday, July 19 Sunday, July 20 ****JUDGING ASSIGNMENTS**** Terry Culley is judging all classes Jacqueline Hoye is judging all classes Jacqueline Hoye is judging all classes JUDGING TIME and RUNNING ORDER Agility judging starts at 8:00 a.m. each day. Judges briefing and course walk- through will take place prior to that time, to be specified in entry confirmation. Running Order will be as follows: Friday: Fast classes followed by Standard classes followed by JWW classes. All classes will run Excellent to Novice 24 to 4. Saturday: JWW classes followed by Standard classes followed by Fast classes. All classes will run Excellent to Novice 4 to 24. Sunday: Fast classes followed by Standard classes followed by JWW classes. All classes will run Excellent to Novice from 24 to 4. MULTIPLE ENTRIES ******* If you have multiple dogs entered, please attach a note to your entry form so consideration can be given this issue during scheduling. This will help eliminate frantic requests to re-schedule runs due to judging conflicts. MOVE-UP INFORMATION Pre-Trial move-ups must be submitted in writing or to the trial secretary no later than Monday, July 16, Day-to-Day move-ups must be submitted to the trial secretary no later than one half hour after the end of Friday or Saturday s trial. AWARDS Ribbons will be awarded to 1st through 4th Place in each height division in each class. First Place... Blue Ribbon Second Place... Red Ribbon Third Place... Yellow Ribbon Fourth Place... White Ribbon Dark Green ribbons will be awarded to all dogs receiving qualifying scores. In the case of tied scores, the dog with the fastest yards per second running time wins. A qualifying score is required for all ribbons and awards. 1 st place in all classes for all three days will be a dog toy (valued at between two and five dollars) donated by Yellowstone Valley Kennel Club 4

4 SITE INFORMATION The building will be opened from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. all three days. The building will be cooled by two large swamp coolers placed on either end of the building. The trial grounds include the building and the surrounding parking area. All regulations governing the use of this facility and all regulations and decisions of the Trial Committee of Yellowstone Valley Kennel Club will be strictly enforced, including those not listed in the Premium List. Dogs may NOT be left in the building overnight. Dogs must be exercised ON LEASH and in designated areas. Please crate your dogs in designated areas only. There will be areas both inside and outside (on the east side of the building) for crating dogs. Shade tents may be set up outside in this area. Crates may be left in the building overnight. The building will be locked. Anything left outside is done so at the owner s risk. Neither YVKC nor the Yellowstone Boys & Girls Ranch are responsible for loss or theft. This club does not agree to arbitrate claims as set forth on the Official AKC entry form for this event. Bitches in season are absolutely NOT ALLOWED anywhere on the trial grounds-no Exceptions. Parents or guardians are solely responsible for their children and are expected to keep them supervised and controlled at all times for their own safety and in consideration for exhibitors and their dogs. CATALOGS If you would like a catalog (all three days, agility, obedience and rally combined), preorders are offered. Mark the appropriate box on the entry form and add $12.00 to your entry fee total. There will be a limited number of catalogs available at the trial for $ ***CONCESSIONS*** Food will be available at the show site each day from 7 am until 3 pm. EXHIBITOR INFORMATION The safety of dogs is of primary concern. By entering this trial, exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport, and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all obstacles safely. Exhibitors are responsible for cleaning up after their own dogs AT ALL TIMES. There will be doggy bags and/or pooper scoopers placed around the trial site. PLEASE use them. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. Rabies vaccinations are required in Montana. RV PARKING/CAMPING RV parking will be available at the show site this year. Parking is on gravel. There are NO hookups and no shade. Units must be self-contained. A porta-potty will be available for use. Cost is $10.00/night or $25 for the whole weekend. Pay upon arrival. Most workers will be scheduled to work two classes. IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR EXHIBITORS Conditional, unsigned, incomplete, illegible, telephone, fax, or telegraph entries cannot be accepted. Entries not on official AKC forms, or photocopies of AKC forms without the agreement and rules on the reverse side of the official AKC entry form are not acceptable. Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry and will have a $5.00 processing fee added in order to compete. Owners are responsible for errors on entry blanks, for entering the same dog twice, or for entering a dog in a class in which it is ineligible to compete, regardless of who makes such errors. Dogs wrongly entered in a class may not be transferred to another class after closing. Entries sent by express mailing services MUST have the signature requirement waived; otherwise they may not be delivered on time. The secretary will not pick up entries being held for signature, and no entries will be considered as being received until they are delivered to the secretary. Entry fees will not be refunded in the event of errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date, or in the event a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by the Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by the Trial Committee. No entry fee will be refunded if the trial cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, or any other cause beyond the control of the organizing committee. Confirmation of entry and schedule of judging times will be sent to the address on the official AKC entry form after the closing date. If not received at least seven days prior to the trial, contact the Trial Secretary. Acknowledgement of receipt of entries prior to closing will be provided if the exhibitor provides a valid address on the entry form, or includes a stamped, self-addressed postcard with entry. Please do not telephone the secretary to ask if your entry was received. Yellowstone Valley Kennel Club, Inc., the Trial Secretary, their agents, employees, etc. assume no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers or spectators, or to any of their dogs or property, and further assumes no responsibility for injury to any child not under the control of his or her parents or guardians. It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Trial Committee, be asked to leave the show site and no refund of any fees paid will be made. It is the sole responsibility of the exhibitors to be at the ring gate when it is their turn. Judges are not required to wait for dogs. All dogs must be on leash at all times except when in the ring or in the designated agility warm-up area. 7 8
