When numerical limit is reached, additional entries will be placed on an alternate list. Drawing for running order will be August 29, 2012 at 7:30 pm at the Secretary s office. The trophy will remain in the possession of the club until won outright. Combined Two Day Prizes High Combined for the highest combined qualifying score in the duck, cattle and sheep herding trials on Saturday and Sunday - Director s Chair with original artwork by Nancy Oehlhof. In Honor of Reba Challenge Trophy. A bronze study of a Pembroke Welsh Corgi herding sheep mounted on a wood trophy base. Donated by Pokies Country Kennel to be awarded to the High Combined qualifying score (all stock, all courses, all days) winner at the PWCCA National Specialty Herding Trial, in honor of WTCH HTCH HC Pokies Country Gal, HXAsdc ATDsdc HRDIII HYADIII NAP HJP CD TD, Reba. For permanent possession, this trophy must be won three times by the same owner(s), not necessarily with the same dog. A wooden plaque, also donated by Pokies Country Kennel, will be given each year to the winner of the Reba trophy to commemorate their win.

5 New Title Holders Those exhibitors who complete a title at the specialty and who desire recognition at the event will be presented with a commemorative rosette provided they present to the event secretary a current printout of points/legs from AKC demonstrating that their qualifying run(s) at this event completes a title. Rosettes for titles less than Champion level will be available at ringside of the event. Those exhibitors completing a prefix title (example: Ch., OTCH, CT, HC, MACH, PACH), and who desire recognition will be presented with a special commemorative rosette provided they present the AKC printout of points/legs to the event secretary that demonstrates that their win will complete a Championship title. These rosettes will be individually presented at the Saturday, September 29, 2012 evening awards banquet. Trophy Sponsorship The PWCCA invites all corgi fanciers to support their favorite classes and events at our Specialty Show. Sponsors are encouraged to use the online PayPal option for class sponsorships but a form is available for those preferring printout and submission by following links on the Specialty page of the PWCCA website. Sponsor names and dedications must be submitted by July 28, 2012 to be in the catalog but sponsor donations will be accepted until September 1, For information contact Betty Kramp at b_kramp@olypen.com Raffle/ Silent Auction We ask for donations to this year s raffle/silent auction. While we ll have our usual mix of great herding related items, this year will offer some surprises. Back by popular demand is the World s Best Herding Gear Bag. Performance Picnic All performance exhibitors and friends are invited to join together in an evening of relaxed northwest hospitality at Brigands HideOut on Sunday, September 23, beginning at approximately 5:00 pm (following the herding trial.) There is no charge for the picnic, but please indicate on the Specialty RSVP page (which is available on the Specialty page of the PWCCA website) if you ll be attending.

6 Triathlon Challenge The Triathlon Challenge is a competition to honor the most versatile Pembroke competing at the 2012 National Specialty. A corgi must enter and compete in at least three (3) events agility, herding, obedience, rally, tracking and conformation (not including sweepstakes). The corgi earning the highest number of points will be honored at the banquet on Saturday evening. Those corgi fanciers wanting to participate in this competition must pre-register by August 29, Please go to the Specialty Page of the PWCCA website for rules, point schedule and registration form. 7 Notice to Exhibitors No un-entered dogs (except set-out dogs) will be allowed in the test/trial arenas during event hours. Shaded/protected crating areas will be provided. Bath/Cool off tub provided. Bring your own towels. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ALLOWED. Please bring your own chairs. Schedule will be provided. Bitches in season will be allowed but will be moved to the end of the class in tests. Please notify the Event Secretary if your bitch is in season. All American Kennel Club rules regarding conduct will be strictly enforced. RETURNED CHECKS do not constitute a valid entry. No conditional entries will be accepted. ENTRY FORMS MUST BE SIGNED. A separate entry form must be completed for each dog entered. Entries not on Official AKC Entry Forms and Photocopies of Entry Forms without the Agreement and Rules on the reverse side of the Official AKC Entry Forms are NOT ACCEPTABLE. You may enter both days and more than one course/stock on the same entry form, but must use a separate entry form for each dog. No refund for duplicate entries or any other cause beyond the control of the club after closing of entries. Owners or their Agents are solely responsible for the presence of their dog(s) at the test/trial arena. Judges are not required to wait for dogs. Entry fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent (unless replaced by an alternate), disqualified, excused by a Veterinarian or Judge or barred from competition by action of the Test/Trial Committee. If because of riots, civil disturbances, fire, act of God, public emergency or other acts beyond the control of the Club it is impossible to open or to complete the test/trial, no refund of entry fee will be made. Exhibitors are responsible for keeping their dogs leashed and under control at all times and MUST clean up after their dogs. PLEASE HELP US KEEP THIS SITE CLEAN. USE TRASH CANS ON THE PREMISES. 10 AGREEMENT I (we) acknowledge that the Rules Applying to Registration and Dog Shows and the Rules for Herding Tests & Trials have been made available to me (us), and that I (we) agree that the club holding this Herding Test or Trial has the right to refuse this entry for cause, which the club shall deem to be sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of the Herding Test or Trial and of the opportunity to have the dog tested or judged and to win prize money, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold this club, its members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or show secretary and the owner or lessor of the premises and any employees of the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or upon the Herding Test or Trial premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim for damage or injury to the dog, whether such loss, disappearance, theft, damage or injury, be caused or alleged to be caused by the negligence of the club or any of the parties aforementioned, or by the negligence of any other person, or any other causes. I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify and save the aforementioned parties harmless from any and all loss and expenses (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting therefrom, sustained by any person or persons, including myself (ourselves) or on account of damages to property, arising out of or in consequence of my (our) participation in this Herding Test or Trial, howsoever such injuries, death or damage to property may be caused, and whether or not the same may have been caused by negligence of the aforementioned parties or any of their employees or agents, or any other persons. I (we) will pay for any livestock injuries or replacement value in the event of death of any livestock by my (our) dog. In case of any injury to any stock caused by the dog entered, I (we) will assume total responsibility for any damage. I (we) agree to pay the full market value of the injured animal in case of serious injury, or the veterinarian bill if the injury is slight. I (WE) AGREE THAT ANY CAUSE OF ACTION, CONTROVERSY OR CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE ENTRY, EXHIBITION OR ATTENDANCE AT THE EVENT BETWEEN AKC AND MY SELF (OURSELVES) OR AS TO THE CONSTRUCTION, INTERPRETATION AND EFFECT OF THIS AGREEMENT SHALL BE SETTLED BY ARBITRATION PURSUANT TO THE APPLICABLE RULE OF THE AMERICAN ARBITRATION ASSOCIATION. HOWEVER, PRIOR TO ARBITRATION ALL APPLICABLE AKC BYLAWS, RULES, REGULATIONS AND PROCEDURES MUST FIRST BE FOLLOWED AS SET FORTH IN THE AKC CHARTER AND BYLAWS, RULES, REGULATIONS, PUBLISHED POLICIES AND GUIDELINES.
