Small sea animals can get caught in the tentacles of a jellyfish because they are not strong enough to push through them. 6. An octopus can escape from danger by spraying a cloud of black ink into the water, frightening its attacker. 7. Warning signs are bright yellow so they stand out and people read them. 8. Sled dogs can live in cold places because their thick coats keep them warm. 4. Herding dogs don t hurt other animals because they have been trained not to. 5. A police dog would stay calm if a crowd of people began to shout and scream loudly. 6. It would take many months to train a guide dog because they need to learn a lot. 7. The paws of a sled dog are protected with special booties because sled dogs have to run in the snow. 8. The person who is blind and the guide dog work together to know when it is safe to cross the road. 9. A search and rescue dog would have just one trainer because the dog has to be very good at following its trainer s instructions. 10. An acting dog would be used to advertise goods because people like dogs. From Plastic Bottles to Clothes 1. Things that can be made from plastic bottles include tables, chairs, pens, toothbrushes, children s toys, other bottles and clothes. 2. Polyester is a type of plastic that can be used to make clothes. 3. After fabric has been dyed, it is dried in a machine. 4. Clear PET bottles are used to make clothes because they are not dyed, so they are easier to make into other products. 5. A machine is used to break the PET bottles into small pieces so the different types of plastic can be sorted easily. 6. Some of the plastic floats to the top of the pool when it is being washed because it is lighter than PET and water. 7. The plastic balls are melted so they can fit through the small holes in the machine, ready to be made into thread. 8. The thread is wound onto reels so it is ready to be used in a machine to make cloth. 9. People buy drinks in plastic bottles because it is convenient and easy. The Moon Festival finished with fireworks. 4. People celebrate the end of a harvest because the harvest is hard work. They also celebrate the harvest bounty. 5. People at the festival were friendly and cheerful because they were having a great time. 6. People selling food gave the children small pieces to eat so they could see if they liked it. 7.
