HEIGHT DIVISIONS All dogs entering the Preferred Classes for the first time MUST enter at the NOVICE level in both Preferred Std & Pref. JWW. The following heights MUST be used in all Preferred Classes. Owners are responsible for entering their dog in the proper height division. All entries must be submitted on official AKC Agility entry forms, one dog per entry form. Envelopes/transactions containing entries for more than the ten (10) dog maximum and/or entries received prior to the opening date shall be treated as an invalid entry and shall be returned to the sender. Photocopies of front and back will be accepted only if legible and of official AKC size. ONLINE ENTRIES ONLINE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED through LabTestedOnline.com. During the first 48 hours after opening the initial limit of entries designated as either online or paper will be as follows. 66 runs (20%), 264 runs paper (80%) each day. If either form of entry has not filled at the end of the 48 hour time period, the club reserves the right to decrease or increase either one accordingly. Entries will NOT be accepted without signature, fees and back of entry form, with agreement signed. Please be sure to waive signature requirement for any entries sent by express delivery service! All entries, including overnight and express mail are to be mailed with fees payable to NAKC to: Confirmation of entry receipt will be sent via if address is provided. No entry fees will be refunded if the trial cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, an act of God, public emergency, or any other cause beyond the control of the organizing committee. 3 DOGS ELIGIBLE TO ENTER This trial is open to all dogs fifteen (15) months of age or older that are registered with the American Kennel Club or that have AKC Limited Registration. Purebred Alternative Listing/Indefinite Listing Priveleges (PAL/ILP), an AKC Canine Partner listing number, or approved Foundation Stock Service (FSS) Breeds are eligible to participate. Dogs with a Purebred Alternative Listing/Indefinite Listing Priveleges (PAL/ILP) or an AKC Canine Partners listing number must be spayed or neutered in order to compete. Wherever the word dog is used in these regulations it includes both sexes. Dogs should be physically sound. Dogs that are blind or deaf shall not be eligible, and neither are bitches in season, aggressive dogs, or dogs suffering from any deformity, injury or illness which may affect the dog s physical or mental performance. No dogs shall compete if it is taped or bandaged in any way or has anything attached to it for medical purposes. Refer to Chapter 2 of the Registration and Discipline Rules for the listing of registrable breeds that may participate. Puppies under six months of age are strictly prohibited from the trial grounds. CHECK IN AND WALK THROUGH Check In.. 7:00 AM Judges Briefing & Walk Through... 7:30 AM Judging Begins.. 8:00 AM Dogs will run low to high on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Class order on Friday and Saturday will start in the order of FAST Excellent, FAST Open, FAST, JWW Excellent, Standard Excellent, JWW Open, Standard Open, JWW and Standard. Sunday the order will be T2B, JWW Excellent, Standard Excellent, JWW Open, Standard Open, JWW and Standard. A and B classes will be combined. The Preferred and Mixed Breed classes will be run in conjunction with the regular classes, at the end of each jump height. JUMP HEIGHT CARDS NOTE NEW RULES EFFECTIVE 1/1/10 All dogs competing in agility must possess an official AKC Jump Height Card. An official AKC Jump Height Card is defined as either a permanent jump height card, a valid temporary jump height form, copies of two different measuring forms (placing the dog in the same height class) dated on or after the dog s second birthday, or copies of three different measuring forms (two of which place the dog in the same height class) on or after the dog s second birthday. All dogs except those jumping 24 or 26 (unless a VMO or AKC representative is present) without permanent or temporary height cards must be measured. This measurement will only be valid for that weekend of trials only. You are not required to show your height card or send a copy with your entry. You are required to mark on your entry form your dog s height card status. It is the exhibitor s responsibility to request measurement. If the dog does not have a valid Jump Height Card or form it must be measured by a VMO, AKC Field Representative or by the judge(s) of record before it runs and failure to do so will result in the cancellation of any qualifying scores. New Simplified Jump Height Card Process When filling out the entry form, there is a new section at the top of the form for exhibitors to designate whether your dog needs to be officially measured. Please check the appropriate box so that the Trial Secretary knows whether to include your dog on the Dogs To Be Measured List. It is no longer required that you submit a copy of your dog s jump height card with your entry form or show it during day of show check-in. SHOW SITE Indoor arena with packed dirt floor. Site will be open for crate setup at 5:00 PM Thursday afternoon April 30, Plenty of crate space is available. Crating near ring will be on dirt floor. There is a separate air conditioned room available that is on concrete at no extra charge that is not far from the rings. Lots of parking is available with two indoor restrooms on either side of the arena and an outdoor bathroom building. WAIT LIST INFORMATION NAKC is offering a wait list to fill openings created by withdrawn entries after the trial s closing date/time. A maximum of 15 entries will be placed on the club s wait list. All entries, including wait listed entries, must be received by April 17, 2015 at 6:00 PM will be replaced by a wait listed entry if any are available. If a withdrawn entry is replaced by a wait listed entry, a full refund will be issued for the withdrawn entry. Any wait listed entry that does not move off the wait list into the trail by April 27, 2015 at 6 PM will receive a full refund. MOVE-UPS Pre-Trial move-ups will be accepted prior to 6:00 PM on Monday, April 27, move-ups to sidekick86@windstream.net. Faxes will not be accepted. Dogs shall be moved up to a higher class at the request of the owner, as a result of the dog qualifying for an agility title. The request for a day-to-day move up must be made to the Trial Secretary not later than the day preceding the event. All move-up entries are subject to availability of the class and payment of any difference in entry fee. It is the option of the club to allow move-ups. Dogs so moved-up will be entered at the end of the running order. Refer to Chapter 1, Section 20 of the Regulations for Agility Trials for additional move-up requirements. Move-up forms will be available at the Secretary s table for Saturday s and Sunday s trials. WARM-UPS Handlers in all classes are permitted to walk the course, without a dog, prior to the start of the class. The walk through period allows handlers to plan their strategy running the course and will be held prior to each class, following the judge s briefing. A warm-up area, consisting of a regulation agility jump, shall be provided. The walk through is restricted to handlers entered in that class only. Handlers with multiple dogs, at events with multiple rings may request to walk with a height group other than the one their dog is entered in if a conflict is imminent. RIBBONS AND PRIZES Ribbons will be awarded to the 1st through 4th place teams in each jump height in each titling class. Dogs must qualify to receive ribbons. Qualifying ribbons will be awarded to all dogs receiving qualifying scores in each titling class. New title rosettes will be awarded to all dog/handler teams finishing a title. Double Q ribbons will be awarded to all dogs qualifying in both Master Standard and Master JWW in the same trial. Dogs earning a new MACH, PACH and/or PAX title will be awarded a bar and rosette. Each dog entered during the trial weekend will receive one dog toy or dog related item valued at one to three dollars. First Place Blue Second Place.. Red Third Place.. 4 NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS 1. The safety of the dogs is our primary concern. By entering this trial, exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport, and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all obstacles safely. 2. All dogs must be on leash or crated at all times except when in the ring or when in the designated agility warm-up area. 3. Puppies under the age of 6 months are prohibited from the show grounds according to AKC regulations. 4. Exhibitors are responsible for picking up after their own dogs. Plenty of space is available for exercising your dogs. 5. Smoking inside the building is strictly prohibited. 6. Entry fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused or barred from competition by action of the Event Committee, Veterinarian or judge. 7. Bitches in season are not permitted in the trial. 8. Bitches in season will have all but $5.00 of the entry fee refunded if unable to compete for that reason. The Trial Secretary must receive written notification from a Veterinarian of such claim before judging commences on May 1, Exhibitors are responsible for being at the ring gate when it is their turn to run. 10. The North Arkansas Kennel Club may decline entries for cause and refuse to receive or may remove any dog on account of disease, viciousness or other cause, and no one shall have any claim or recourse against NAKC or any official thereof. 11. Unsportsmanshiplike conduct, including rough handling, disrespect of match workers or others, or misconduct of any kind, will result in refusal of entries, or excusal from the show site. NAKC reserves the right to decline entries or remove any dog from this event for cause. 12. The North Arkansas Kennel Club, Inc. and the Carroll County Fairgrounds and Fair Board assume no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injuries sustained by exhibitors, handlers, their dogs or property and further assume no responsibility for injury to children. 13. YOU are responsible for any damage you or your dog do on the show site. A Trial Committee will be convened for cause. 14. On-site concessions with limited choices and limited hours of operation will be available at this trial and there is a convenience store just across from the fairgrounds. 15. Please keep the show site clean. 16. Exhibitors are responsible for complete, accurate, and legible information on their entry forms: illegible or incomplete entries cannot be entered in the show. IF THE ENTER FORM IS PHOTOCOPIED, THE AGREEMENT ON THE BACK OF THE FORM MUST ALSO BE PHOTOCOPIED AND ATTACHED TO THE ENTRY WHEN IT IS MAILED. Unsigned Entry Forms cannot be accepted as well as entries which specify any conditions as to its acceptance. Changes, Additions or Corrections to entry forms MUST be received in writing prior to close of entries. Those received by telephone are NOT acceptable. 17. Paper entries received within the first 24 hours must include postage or be metered. Entries must be delivered by multi-state or multi-national postal or carrier service, including but not limited to USPS, FedEx, UPS and DHL. 18. No refunds for duplicate entries. However, care will be taken to find duplicates before processing. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms and no entry fee will be refunded in the event of such errors. 19. Checks that have been returned due to insufficient funds do not constitute a valid entry and will have a $25.00 service charge attached. Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitor may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY BASIS. 20. No entry fee will be refunded if the trial cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, an act of God, public emergency, an act of a public enemy, or any other cause beyond the control of the organizing committee. MOTEL INFORMATION All motel/hotel sites are considered a part of our show site. All AKC rules and regulations apply. Exhibitors are expected to maintain their premises and their dogs in a quiet, clean & well kept manner. Please check with motels/hotels for policies and restrictions. A Event Committee hearing will be held for individuals reported for any motel complaints. Any offenses may result in a Trial Committee hearing. It is up to the exhibitors to clean up after their dogs and respect motel property and rules. No grooming or bathing of dogs in rooms. Exercise your dogs in designated areas only. Cancellation policy is at the discretion of the individual motel. DO NOT LET YOUR DOGS DESTROY OR FOUL THE ROOMS. PUT PLASTIC UNDER CRATES AND DO NOT LEAVE DOGS UNATTENDED IN MOTEL ROOMS.
