2 Whilst every cat has its own kennel, putting your cat into a social environment, such as boarding, is the time you want its vaccinations at their maximum effectiveness. A cat can be carrying the flu without showing any symptoms and can shed the flu virus simply by shedding fur or dander. We have a strict health policy for all boarding cats to endeavour to keep your cat virus free. IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE YOU BRING YOUR CAT IN TO BOARDING Vaccinations All cats must have proof of current vaccination: that is, your cat must have been vaccinated with a minimum of F3 within the last 12 months. If your cat will be due for a vaccination close the boarding period, they will need to receive their vaccine at least 2 weeks PRIOR to arrival: or call us to see if we can organise a vaccination for your cat during its stay. If your cat is not up to date with vaccinations or has never been vaccinated they will need a course of two vaccines, 3 weeks apart. Your cat is not considered to be inoculated until two weeks after the second vaccination. NO CAT WILL BE ADMITTED IF THEY ARE NOT UP TO DATE WITH THEIR VACCINATIONS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL OR IF YOU CANNOT PROVIDE PROOF OF VACCINATION. Sterilization Your cat must be over six months old and sterilized. Flea and Worming Treatments All cats must be up to date with their worming and flea treatments. Flea treatments need to be applied monthly and all wormers to be given every three months. If you would prefer, an experienced team member can do this for you during your cat s stay.

3 Peace of Mind Photo Updates You may like to see how your cat is doing in boarding, so we are happy to take some photos of your cat and photo updates to you. Speak with one of our friendly staff when making your booking. Drop Off and Pick Up Times Boarding drop off and pick up times are between 9am to 1pm. An additional fee applies to early and late drop off times. Early and late drop off times must be organised in advance. To keep your cat safe, your cat must be in a secure carry container when entering and exiting Cat Haven. We recommend that you keep your cat inside on the day of drop off as they may go for a wander just when it is time to go.

4 Cat Haven Boarding Cat Haven s boarding kennels are a home away from home for your cat while you are away. We have a dedicated, professional team to look after our boarding cats and your cat will live in a very spacious cat run with all the love and comforts it needs. No Charge for Hugs We don t believe you should pay for your cat to have extra hugs or affection. All of our boarders get affection, pats, hugs, cuddles and brushes as standard care. We love cats and will always do whatever it takes to ensure they have the most enjoyable stay. Extra Services Available for Your Cat While your cat is boarding, to make your life easier, we offer additional services for a small cost, such as: Nail Clipping Flea and Worm Treatments Micro-chipping Grooming Vaccinations Please call to get a quote and make an appointment in advance for any of these extras.

5 Your Cat s Diet Whilst we do have a large selection of food available, we encourage you to bring your own food, particularly if your cat is fussy or requires a special or vet prescribed diet. Hill s Science Diet dry products are provided to boarders, ensuring your cat has the special nutrition it needs to be healthy and happy. What is Provided in the Boarding Kennel We provide beds, bedding, litter trays, bowls and food, and will do whatever we can to ensure your cat is as comfortable as possible. You are most welcome to bring in your own bedding and home comforts. However, whilst your cat s kennel is very large, sometimes less is better.

6 Illness and Emergency Your cat may find the boarding situation stressful or may become ill due to some other problem. Cat Haven has a qualified vet onsite 7 days a week, giving you assurance that if you cat is ill, we can attend to it immediately. You will be asked to sign an authorization for Cat Haven to arrange emergency care for your cat if required. You will be liable for any veterinary costs incurred. If your cat is on medication, we are happy to administer the medicine but you must bring the medicine in with you administration is free. Onsite Vet We Help Keep Your Cat Healthy and Safe Boarding Rates Please contact our boarding staff for current rates per day. Our rates compare very favourably with those of other facilities. We offer large cat runs and a choice to have access to outside facilities, plus you get great rates for more than one cat per kennel. In peak periods we charge a 15% surcharge on top of our regular rate.**holiday rate periods coincide with School Holidays and Public Holidays.

7 Cancellation and Deposit Policy A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking. If you need to cancel, the deposit will be refunded in accordance with the scale below. School Holidays and Public Holidays 14 days notice or less no refund days notice 50% refund of deposit or $30 admin fee (whichever is greater) Over 30 days notice 100% refund of deposit less $30 admin fee Any time other than School and Public Holidays 7 days notice or less no refund 8-14 days notice 50% refund of deposit or $30 admin fee (whichever is greater) Over 15 days notice 100% refund of deposit less $30 admin fee If you have paid in full and then need to cancel, we will withhold an amount equivalent to the refund scale above and refund to you. Should you collect your cat from the boarding facility earlier than initially planned, fees relating to unused days will not be refunded.
