MEOW Now s mission is to humanely reduce the free-roaming, un-owned cat population in Pinellas County, also known as Community Cats, by providing targeted TNVR, caregiver support and advocacy. MEOW Now exceeded its first year goal of providing TNVR to 1,000 cats in The goal for 2016 is 1,500 cats. MEOW Now is proud to promote the support of our Community Sponsors. 5 MESSAGE FROM OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS Ordinance changes allowing Trap-Neuter- Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) of community cats took effect on November 10, MEOW Now was a driving force behind the ordinance changes and is now actively working to humanely reduce our community cat population via TNVR. (Read the full ordinance from our website: ) TNVR is the proven effective method of shrinking and eliminating free-roaming cat populations over time as it ends the ability of cats to reproduce. TNVR offers many community benefits including protecting public health, as the cats are vaccinated against the threat of rabies, as well as reducing taxpayer expense by decreasing intake and euthanasia at shelters. We would be honored if you would join us in our mission to save and improve lives. We worked hard to get where we are for our community and its cats; now we need your support to continue. We can t do it without your help! Board of Directors, Cathy Unruh, President; Martha Boden, Vice-President; Dan Hester, Treasurer; Marilyn Weaver, Board Member; Amanda Audia; Board Member Executive Director, Chad Thompson
