COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA - Kangaroos - Second Watermark 500T 134 F A A1 Lot 134 2d grey with Tiny Breaks in Coast of WA & Value Tablet being an early state of the White Scratch from Map to Value Tablet listed in the Third Wmk as BW #7e, with First Wmk ½d on 1915 cover to the USA. Unlisted in the Second Watermark. [Greg Pope at page 39 states the variety "does not occur on first watermark stamps". This implies that he had recorded it in the Second Watermark. However, he does not illustrate this early state] G A- B1 Lot 138 PERFORATED 'OS': 6d ultramarine being a previously unrecorded Dry Ink variety, well centred, minor stain & coincident ironed-out crease at upper-left, indistinct cds of -AU17 largely off the stamp.
