3 Oio Wildlife History Te information in above table was compiled by Mike Moutoux of te Oio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Wildlife, drawing primarily on two sources, A Guide to te Mammals of Oio by Jack L. Gottscang, and Te Birds of Oio, by Peterjon and Zimmerman. Information for 2012 was added by Linda Sigismondi. Additional info: Barn owls appeared in Oio after muc of te forests were cleared for agriculture. Population peaked in s. Population declined after late 140 s wen farming switced from ay and meadow to corn and soybeans. Barn owls are now endangered. Swans were killed for meat and plummage. Trumpeter swans and eggs are collected from Alaska. Cleveland Zoo and Wilds participate in olding.
