Wanted: Purina Weight Circles You can help RCDR earn money towards dog food with just a pair of scissors and your bag of dog food. If you feed Purina Brand dog food, please look on the skinny side of the bag near the top for the "Weight Circle" Foster Homes Needed! Recycled Canines is in need of Foster Homes for dogs coming into our program. If you have room in your heart for a Dalmatian in need, please consider fostering! We especially need more foster homes on the west and north sides of Houston since we will be setting up a monthly adoption event there very soon. You will not be alone in the fostering process so don't let never having fostered before scare you. We have a successful mentoring program for new fosters to answer your questions, share stories, get training tips, etc. If you ever have a question, our group is willing to help. If interested, please send an e-mail to the foster home coordinator, Debbie Doyle at debbie.doyle@hotmail.com. Please make sure we have an application on file. The dogs need you! Weight Circles can be mailed to Recycled Canines Dalmatian Rescue 314 Morningside Drive League City, TX 77573 Foster Dog Spotlight Bucky is a 3 year old black and white male Dalmatian. He weighs 48 lbs and is all sweetness! He gets along great with other dogs and people. He is crate trained and house broken. Bucky is listed as a special needs dog because he has seizures. He's doing very well on his new medication and should be seizure free with it. The medication for seizures is very inexpensive and we hope any interested adopter won't let that keep him from finding a new home. He will be perfect for the person that likes to jog or go for lots of walks. His very favorite thing is playing ball and he would enjoy a family with kids who liked to play as much has he does. Bucky even enjoys swimming in his foster mom's swimming pool while he fetches the tennis ball. Bucky needs a home with no cats.

GoodSearch.com helps RCDR raise money Now you can raise money for Recycled Canines just by searching the Internet at GoodSearch.com. You use GoodSearch.com like any other search engine the site is powered by Yahoo! but each time you do, money is generated for us. Volunteer Spotlight Erica Blackburn Erica Blackburn has been fostering for RCDR for three and a half years now. She is owned by "Lucky-Seven" a rescued Dalmatian, "Copper a Beagle and two rescued cats Callie and Mouse. Erica is currently fostering Annie a one year old deaf Dalmatian and Angie a three year old Exotic American Short Hair Cat. Erica has fostered 10 cats and more than 50 dogs in her home including Dalmatians, Pugs, Pit Bulls, Poodles, Boston Terriers, mix breeds and many others. She has bottle feed litters of puppies and kittens, tended to the special needs of senior foster critters and helped socialize and train unruley new comers. She has also worked on Christmas Raffle Baskets to help earn money needed for vet bills in addition to attending many weekend adoption events. According to Erica "I've always believed in volunteering to give back to the community and I do what I can to make a difference". Erica is not only a great asset to our rescue, but to animals in other groups as well. She volunteers at her local animal shelter, coordinating transports and transporting for other groups. Erica has wholeheartedly given her time and money to helping save animals in the area. A special thanks goes out to Erica for all of her hard work!! We Want To Hear From You We love to get follow up e-mails from adopters and we especially love to see new pictures. Please consider sending us new photos of your adopted family member and we will post them to the Happy Tails section of our website. Thanks to John Hazle for sending us this picture of his daughter with their adopted Dalmatian, Jaycee.
