The Social The desire of Retirement Living is to honor God by providing the elderly with a lifestyle that values their identity, their independence, and their dignity. March 2018 Meet Our New Resident Care Coordinator! Lisa Weir is joining our Green Acres family! She worked at the Green Acres in Wayland before coming here. She has been a nurse for 20 years. Lisa and her husband have three children,4 grandchildren, and a dog named Molly. ~Save the date~ April 21st @ 11:30 Family Brunch More information to come Where s Waldo? The little guy to the left is Waldo. He started showing up in different spots around the building a couple weeks ago! Waldo tends to find a new hiding place every Friday afternoon. Can you find him? Family and Friends are always welcome to join their loved one for a meal here at Green Acres! Please fill out a guest meal slip from the kitchen and turn it in with payment. 24 hour notice is great but we understand it s not always possible, please try to give the kitchen at least one meal ahead notice so they can plan accordingly. The Social We danced the afternoon away at our Mardi Gras Party. We made masks, ate paczkis, and sang along to some jazz and polka music! Rilma who works in our kitchen came to teach us some dance steps! Science Experiment We turned pipe cleaners into crystals. It was hard to wait a whole day to see how they turned out but the results were definitely worth waiting for! Minetta came up with the creative idea of hanging our crystals on sticks, turning our experiment into art! Olympic Events Right here at Green Acres! The Social Hop on over to Green Acres for a Community Easter Egg Hunt When: March 24, 2018 The Hunt will Begin at 11:00am SHARP! Where: Green Acres of Who: Kids 10 yrs & under Thousands of eggs will be hidden in front of the building. 5 lucky kids will open their eggs to find a golden coin! The prize for finding a Golden Coin is an Easter basket filled with goodies! Please bring your own bag or basket to collect eggs in.
