Administrator's Notes ~ Alicia Failing, R.N. ~ We survived the weekend, that was filled with rain, sleet, and ice. I am thankful that we weren't faced with a power outage. Its hard to believe that summer is roughly two months away with the current weather exhibiting winter storms. I am in hopes that we will soon be blessed with warmer weather. We have plans for many outdoor activities that hopefully will not have to be attended wearing hats and mittens. Please watch your newsletters for details of all of the special activities that will take place this Spring and Summer. With Spring, comes spring cleaning. Please take time to help your loved one at Green Acres exchange their winter wardrobe for their Spring/Summer clothing. It is easy to accumulate clothing that is not in season, or perhaps has outlived it's days; your help with this process is greatly appreciated. Warm weather brings more activity and our residents going out on outings. If you are planning on taking your loved one out to an event or an appointment, please let our staff know in advance. Our staff will gladly do what is necessary to prepare our residents to go out. Last week I was going through old pictures of years past. With each picture brought such great memories and life lessons learned. Some pictures brought sadness for residents who have since passed. So many residents have made such an imprint on my heart. Each picture conveyed big smiles and a sense of family. Green Acres Greenville will soon be celebrating 19 years of service to the Greenville Community. We have been so richly blessed with wonderful residents and families that we have cared for and continue to care for. Thank you to each one for sharing your loved one with us and intrusting them in our care.
