STEVE CROW GCCFI SUPREME CAT SHOW 21 st April 2013 My thanks to Gloria and the Committee of the GCCFI for the kind invitation to judge at the year s show, I had an extremely enjoyable weekend meeting some very friendly people and beautiful cats. Many thanks to my steward, who looked after me very well and was such good company during the day. A C Siberian: Two girls entered. 1IC & BOB. KUZMIERZ S TUNEZIA NOWA ERA*PL. Tortie Tabby Bi-Colour. 18/6/12. A very attractive young lady who is well developed and of good overall type. Firm rectangular body is of very good weight, muscular and of very good substance with strong underlying boning, gently rounded chest and sturdy well-shaped legs of medium length ending in firm round paws in proportion with toe-tufts. Head forms short broad wedge with rounded contours and good width to low-set cheek-bones, good breadth to gently rounded muzzle with moderately firm whisker-pads. Well-spaced medium size broad based ears are of good shape with rounded tips and plentiful inner furnishings. Expressive large lustrous eyes are oval in shape with more rounded lower lids and are set wide apart and at a slight slant. In profile shows good depth to skull, modest rounded dome to forehead, concave curve in profile line to nose, chin is rounded and of fairly good depth. Good coat length for age, fairly full with top coat is showing the beginnings of coarse waterproof texture and flows quite well over some soft dense undercoat, just a little spring evident as yet, small ruff frames face, modest breeches and well-furnished bushy tail of good shape, length is just short to balance body. In beautiful condition and very well prepared. An alert, sweet natured girl with a typical natural Siberian look very promising. 2. DIXON S SORBANA NOWA ERA*PL. Blue Tabby Colour Pointed. 7/6/12. Pretty young lady of very pleasing type. Rectangular body is of good weight, a little slender as yet but muscular with solid underlying boning, rounded chest and sturdy well-shaped legs of medium length ending in firm round paws in proportion with some toe-tufts. Head form balanced short broad wedge with gently rounded contours and quite good width to low-set cheek-bones, gently rounded muzzle has breadth although whiskerpads are yet to fill out and develop fully. Well-spaced medium size broad based ears are of good shape with rounded tips, modest inner furnishings. Large lustrous oval eyes have a more rounded lower lid and are set wide apart and slightly obliquely to give

pleasing expression. In profile shows slight dome to forehead with gently concave curve in profile line to nose, chin is rounded and of quite good depth. Good coat length for age with discernible tope coat, although a little soft in texture at present, which flows over minimal soft undercoat, slight ruff and breeches. Tail is of good shape, wellfurnished and quite bushy, length balances nicely. A very sweet natured girl, shown in super condition and well prepared. Promising, she needs time to mature and reach her potential. Brown/Blue Tabby/Tabby & White Maine Coon Kitten, Male: One boy entered. 1 & BOB. BRINDLEY & SMITH S KATEZ BLAMEITONTHEBOOMBOOM. Brown Classic Tabby. 26/11/12. Handsome young man of very pleasing type. Long rectangular body is of good size and weight for age with solid underlying boning, a little lean overall and going through a growth spurt, but feeling firm and well-muscled with square rump, gently rounded chest and well-shaped sturdy legs ending in large round paws in proportion with slight snowshoes. Head is slightly longer than wide with high cheeks of good width, square muzzle feels fairly firm. Medium large broad based ears are well spaced yet held correctly high and quite tall, good inner furnishings and lynx-tips. Large expressive muddy yellow eyes are full and round in shape, held well open and set wide apart and slightly obliquely. Gentle concave curve in profile line to nose, chin is just level and of fairly good depth, feeling fairly firm. He has a baby-coat at present which feels a little soft and slightly fluffy, although of good length for age, slight ruff and minimal breeches, moderately well-furnished tail is of good shape and length just balances. Black Classic Tabby pattern is a little blurred on sides and slightly solid along the back, yet contrasts well with warm golden toned agouti ground which I d like a richer more coppery tone, hopefully this will develop as he matures; barring on legs and attractive facial markings. A playful boy, very friendly and well present. AOC Maine Coon Kitten, Female: Two girls entered. 1 & BOB. LYESNICHENKO S SHARALO CLEOPATRAS TRESURE. Tortie Classic Tabby & White. 8/11/12. A promising and attractive young lady of very pleasing type. Long rectangular body is of very good size and weight, a little lean and sleek at present, but feeling firm and muscular with strong underlying boning; gently rounded chest, square rump and well-

shaped sturdy legs ending in large round paws in proportion with slight snowshoes. Head is of medium length, slightly longer than wide with good width to high cheekbones and breadth to square muzzle which feels fairly strong. Medium large broad based ears are of good shape, well-spaced yet held correctly high when alert, tall with good inner furnishings and long lynx-tips. Large expressive hazel eyes are full and round in shape, held well open and set wide apart and slightly obliquely. Gentle concave curve in profile line to nose, chin is level, of fairly good depth and fairly firm. Coat is developing well, although yet to lengthen fully, with discernible top coat evident which flows as well as it can over minimal soft undercoat, slight ruff and breeches, tail is quite well furnished for age. Tail is of good shape and length reaches to shoulders to balance. Classic Tabby pattern in jet black and rich bright medium red is a little indistinct, but I can see butterfly motif across shoulders and blurred oyster on each flank, pattern contrasts against an agouti ground of warm copper-toned brown mixed with pale red. Snow white inverted V from bridge of nose down and across muzzle, snow white chin, chest and under-parts, pristine white high socks on all four legs and feet. In smashing condition with a glossy shine to her coat and very well prepared. Lively and affectionate. 2. KUSMIERZ S FUR REAL FLOWER POWER. Black Tortie & White. 13/11/12. Attractive young lady of very pleasing type. Body is long and rectangular in shape, of very good size and weight for age, a little slender and lightly lean at present but feeling muscular with strong underlying boning, square rump, gently rounded chest and well-shaped sturdy legs ending in large rounded paws in proportion with slight snowshoes. However, when standing on the table her back legs did show some evidence of dysplasia. Head is slightly longer than wide with good width to high cheek-bones and good breadth to square muzzle which feels quite strong. Medium large broad based ears are of good shape, just sufficient width between and she can hold them a touch too high at times, good inner furnishings and lynx-tips. Large expressive amber yellow eyes are full and round in shape, held well open and set wide apart and slightly obliquely. Gentle concave curve in profile line to nose, chin is level and of quite good depth and quite firm. Coat is a little short overall, top coat is evident but can only flow to a very moderately extent over minimal undercoat, texture is a little soft as yet, not ruff to speak of and slight breeches, tail is quite well furnished. Rich

bright medium red is mixed with dense jet black; pristine white muzzle, chin, chest and around shoulders, also snow white on under-parts and down all four legs. Tail is of good shape and is a good length to balance. Shown in super condition and very well prepared. A relaxed, contented and very sweet natured girl. A C Silver Tabby or AOC Maine Coon Gr Pr/Hib: One boy entered. Tara GPC & BOB. FRIZELLE S GR PR ISHCUS ADAM. Red Classic Tabby & White Maine Coon. 26/8/09. Large handsome masculine boy, mature and nicely finished and of good overall type. Long well filled body is rectangular in form, heavy, strong and very substantial, feeling firm and muscular with solid boning, broad rounded chest, square rump and well-shaped sturdy limbs ending in large round paws in proportion with snowshoes. Head is of medium length, slightly longer than wide with good width to high cheek-bones and good breadth to square muzzle which feels quite strong. Medium large broad based ears are of good shape, well-spaced yet held correctly high and quite tall with good inner furnishings and lynx-tips. Large expressive yellow eyes are full and round in shape, held well open and set wide apart and slight obliquely to give pleasing expression, although his haws are slightly raised today. In profile has good depth to skull with gently concave curve in profile line to nose, hint of slight bump on nose, chin is level and of fairly good depth, feeling fairly firm. Full over-coat is of good length and has resilient water-proof texture, top coat flows smoothly over soft dense undercoat, full ruff and breeches, tail is well furnished and quite profuse; shown in superb condition and beautifully prepared and presented. Well defined Classic Tabby pattern in rich warm red contrasts with warm paler red agouti ground, clear butterfly motif across shoulders, oyster on each flank, attractive markings to upper face; snow white muzzle, chin, chest and under-parts, clean white socks on all four feet. Tail is of good shape and length reaches to shoulders to balance. A calm, contented boy and very good natured. Lilac Burmese Grand Premier.Hibernian, Female: One girl entered. Tara GPC & BOB. SLUITERS S GR PR & TARA GR CH ALDEBIZ GINCHIKARA. 31/3/05. A very attractive mature lady of good overall type. Slender lithe body is well filled, heavy and muscular, feeling firm and of very good substance with straight back, correctly rounded

chest and slender elegant well shaped legs ending in neat oval paws in proportion. Head forms short wide wedge, blunt in the muzzle with slightly rounded top between well-spaced medium large broad based ears of good shape. Large lustrous rich yellow chartreuse eyes are of very good shape and set wide apart to give typical glowering expression. Sight curve to brow, good break, short straight nose, level chin is of fairly good depth. Fine medium-length coat lies very close to the body, smooth and satin-like in texture and in superb condition displaying a gleaming shine. Warm even dove grey colour has very slight pinkish cast visible in best available light, good frosted effect to head, ears and limbs. Tail tapers evenly to paintbrush tip and length balances nicely. Very contented yet confident girl with a delightful temperament and a lovely finished look. Tortie Burmese Grand Premier/Hibernian: One girl entered. Tara GPC & BOB. NOONAN S GR PR POPPYLOVE MARBLED ORCHID. Blue Tortie. 7/9/10. Attractive mature girl of very pleasing type. Long slender body is lithe, firm and muscular, heavy and of very good substance with straight back, gently rounded chest and well-shaped slender elegant legs ending in neat oval feet in proportion. Head forms short wide blunt wedge with slightly rounded tip between well-spaced medium large broad based ears of good shape. Large lustrous yellow chartreuse eyes are of very good shape and set wide apart to give typical Burmese expression. Slight curve to brow, good break, chin is level and of reasonably good depth. Coat is fine, of medium length and very close lying with a smooth satin-like texture; in superb condition and displaying a gleaming shine. Soft medium blue grey is mixed with lovely delicate medium cream, good silvery effect to head and ears. Tail tapers evenly to paintbrush tip and length just balances. Gentle girl and very sweet natured.
