The Virology Laboratory is the National Reference Laboratory for six animal diseases (Rabies, Bluetongue, Pox/Lumpy skin disease, African Horse Sickness, Rift Valley fever, Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease) and it is one of the approved rabies serology laboratories by the European Commission. Responsible for the quality system ISO 17025:2005 for the techniques "Bluetongue antibody detection by ELISA, Rabies antibody detection by ELISA and Rabies antigen detection by Fluorescent antibody test (FAT)".
