10 What You Will Learn: (no guarantees are made of exact class content) Day One will cover: The basics of using Young Living Essential Oils and Supplements in animals, why certain animals are more sensitive to oils than other animals or humans, and common views regarding the toxicity of oils in the veterinary community. Common "hidden" toxins used in homes every day, what it means for our animals, and how natural products can replace them. Why poor quality oils can cause toxicity issues in animals, where they are found, and what it may mean to our pets. Case studies complete with laboratory data will be presented, helping to document the safety and efficacy of truly medical grade essential oils - especially in cats. Why animals should be exposed to essential oils every day, and the easiest ways to achieve this. Learn the individual properties of my favorite animal oils and the different methods of application - oral, topical, diffusion, misting, and so much more! You will also see video clips demonstrating the different methods and techniques of oil application on live animals. Then - get ready for an extensive discussion of individual conditions - covering every animal from fish to rabbits, snakes to birds, and cats to dogs. From hot spots to urinary incontinence - you'll learn recommended oils, how to use the oils, recommended supplements, and how to evaluate responses. Day Two continues with conditions of dogs, goats, sheep, llamas, horses, cows, and more - and then we will head into emotional work with animals. Don't worry if you don't work on every form of animal - this information can be shared across species! This class helps to stress the individual properties of oils - so you can apply them to every case - whether Cat, Rat, Horse or Human. You will learn even more about starting points, methods of application, and evaluating responses. Video demonstrations will also be shown in this class. An in depth discussion of Raindrop Technique in horses as well as the current theory of why some horses "welt" with oil application, along with recommendations on "what to do next". Case studies will be presented, with plenty of opportunity for questions. Then, everyone's favorite, emotional work with animals. Learn how to help rescue animals deal with their emotional trauma and baggage, help introduce new animals to each other, work with anxiety, protect pets from "toxic" owner energy, and so much more! After this class, you should feel comfortable with oil selections, starting points of use, evaluation of response, and modification of application. This class builds on the information presented in Day One - so it cannot be taken by itself. Page 10 of 14

11 Day Three is the Advanced Course. During this class, oil benefits and recommendations for Animal Professionals will be discussed; Boarding, Grooming, Veterinary Practices, Organic Farms, Acupuncture, Chiropractic, Massage, Reiki, Animal Communication and more! Learn about using oils with homeopathy, prescription medications, herbs, and other natural therapies. Case studies will be "worked up" hand and hand, and you will be guided to formulate your very own regimens. You will get full feedback on the regimens YOU create, with real life scenarios and roll play. Feel the triumph of working through a difficult case. You will be instructed on how to explore a condition - listing symptoms, causes, and oil options. You will leave feeling even more comfortable with formulating and starting a regimen, monitoring responses, and modifying your course of action. Learn about the latest cutting edge ways that essential oils are being used in the Veterinary Hospital including; Neuro-Auricular Technique, Auricular Adjustment, Roll-On Applications and Techniques, Injections, Intravenous use of Oils, and more! The advanced day is a wonderful open format - where all of your questions can be answered. Submit your toughest "oil" case prior to class, for a chance for it to be presented and worked up! This class can only be taken if Day 1 & 2 have been completed. What You Will Get: Besides an amazing education, all attendees will receive printed class handouts and a certificate of attendance. In some locations, live animal demonstrations are permitted. When not available, video footage of the demonstration will be shown. Page 11 of 14

12 What People Are Saying About Dr. Shelton s Classes: Linda writes: Since completing the Animal Clinic with Dr. Melissa Shelton held here in Melbourne, I simply needed to pass on how much I enjoyed the day and valued Melissa's insights into the treatment of animals using a natural approach. There seems to be so little information about treating animals with natural remedies (for the medium to severe cases) and it s been something that I ve definitely searched for since my pet cockatiel required a visit to the doc. I d also like to pass on that the Animal Clinic empowered me to make some changes to improve the health of my birdie and I have been so pleased with the gradual changes I am seeing in his condition. In January he caught his inner eyelid on something sharp, which meant that he had a flap of skin hanging over his eye and this caused considerable irritation. A visit to the vet recommended that he be placed under anaesthesia and the flap removed. I accepted their recommendation and the procedure was performed. However, following the procedure, I noticed that he wasn t quiet grounded and suspected the anaesthesia was the cause. I also noticed that although the flap was removed, from time to time I could see a bit of excess skin and needed to gently clean his eye with some camomile and calendula tea to push it back. He also seemed to have a propensity to get feather fluff stuck on his eye. Of further concern was the gradual loss of condition I was noticing. Since the clinic, I have made more use of the Ultrasonic diffuser using Melissa's recommendation of equal parts of Lavender, Orange and Lemon oil in the diffuser. And to address his ungrounded, anxious state, I diffused Sacred Mountain oil on alternating days (as well as Grounding oil). Within a week or so, he was back in his little body and he was back to whistling and talking again (which he had gradually stopped). I also introduced a small amount of NingXia Red into his water, which he now seems to accept. To begin with, he treated his water bowl as if it was a poisoned water source! J I have also been spraying him with the lavender/orange/lemon feather blend (20 drops of each oil in 120ml of purified or distilled water). With all of these changes that I introduced gradually, I am noticing that he is in better emotional and physical health. I haven t had to push back any excess skin in a fortnight I believe its gradually getting better. The last frontier is converting him to pallets, which he is determined not to eat! J And just a little anecdote to our animals ability to lead us: I was going to give up on the diffusing and NingXia Red as I was getting a little despondent as to whether he was on board with these changes. The day that I made this decision, I came home from work and a) found him sitting on the bench right in front of the diffuser that was running, and then b) he went to his water bowl and had a few good gulps of his NingXia water! I now fully accept that my bird is Page 12 of 14

13 more in-tune than I! LOL. Thanks again! With blessings Linda (Reprinted with Permission from Artemis Oil Bulletin) Jen writes: Thanks for allowing my cat KC to have a demo kitty raindrop at the Dr Melissa Shelton animal clinic in Brisbane. My cat s name is KC which stands for Krazy Cat with a K because she is so crazy! KC had to travel about 30 minutes in the car to the event so she was quite stressed when she arrived. Well, the kitty raindrop was AMAZING! I noticed after the first application of oils by Melissa, that KC had started purring, unusual when she had been so stressed out only minutes before. She seemed noticeable calmer by the end of the demonstration, and my husband took her home. He rang about an hour later to tell me when KC got home, she had a big drink of water and then curled up on the desk and went to sleep! By the time I got home several hours later, KC was in the driveway looking quite contented. I walked up to her and she seemed to be much calmer. She is usually busily looking around, partly stressed, waiting to see what thing is going to get her next! Since the Kitty raindrop I have noticed a huge difference in KC. She seems much more grounded and centred, not freaking out at the littlest thing. KC will be getting regular Kitty raindrops from now on. You have changed my cat s life too! Thank you Dr Melissa and to Artemis for organising such a wonderful event. (Reprinted with Permission from Artemis Oil Bulletin) Page 13 of 14
