2 P a g e SONG: IT S SNOWING CATS AND DOGS
3 P a g e
After the song, the dogs talk amongst themselves. The cats freeze while they speak. Logan S 2Go (top dog): Woof! That sure was some snowstorm. Everybody keeping warm? 4 P a g e
Emily 2Go (dog): We are all snuggled up, ready for bed! Agnes 2Go (dog): In our PJs, we're warm from our toes to our head! Logan S 2Go (top dog): That's good to hear! Did any new dogs fall into our town? Jemima 2Go (dog): There are lots of new dogs, so you can turn your frown upside down! Ben S 2Go (dog): I see a golden retriever and a Great Dane! Anisha 2Go (dog): I see some poodles who look a little vain! Avery 2Go (dog): Wow! I think I see 101 dalmations! Jon 2Go (dog): Excellent! With so many new dogs, this is quite a sensation! Logan S 2Go (top dog): We certainly need all the dogs we can get! Everyone knows dogs make the BEST pets! ALL DOGS (ad lib): Sure do! You know it! Yep! Whoohoo! They pant and bark freely. The dogs freeze while the action moves to the cat side of the tree. Nolan G 2M (king cat): Sooooooo...how did we do in the last snowstorm? Any new cats fall from the sky? Liv 2M (cat): We did puurrrrrffectly! It's so fun to watch cats fly! Hudaf 2M (cat): I think I saw a cat in a hat! Carter 2M (cat): I think I saw a fancy "aristocat" Brittyn 2M (cat): I think I saw an alley cat! Cooper 2M (cat): I think I saw a grumpy cat! Nolan G 2M (cat): Well, fellow cats, let's not lose our mittens. Who knows where to find the little kittens? Mason 2M (cat): I hope they haven't gone too far away! Kaiden 2M (cat): Everyone knows that you should stay on THIS side of the tree to play Nolan G 2M (cat): We certainly need all the cats we can get. Everyone knows that cats make the BEST pets! Cats freeze. Kitten (Ajah 2O) strays away from the others. She wanders to the dog side of the tree. Puppy (Elizebeth 2Ge) is on the other side. They walk toward each other. Ajah 2O (kitten): (purr) Hello. Elizebeth 2Ge (puppy): (sniffs) Hi. Ajah 2O (kitten): I'm new here. Elizebeth 2Ge (puppy): Me too! Ajah 2O (kitten): Looks like a nice place. Elizebeth 2Ge (puppy): Yeah. Looks like lots of fun. Ajah 2O (kitten): Do you want to play together? Elizebeth 2Ge (puppy): Sure! Kitten (Ajah 2O) and Puppy (Elizebeth 2Ge) find a large ball (that just happens to be there) and begin to throw it back and forth as they sing. 5 P a g e
6 P a g e SONG: LET S PLAY
After the song, some dogs notice the puppy (Elizebeth 2Ge) and the kitten (Ajah 2O) playing. Grasyn 2Go (dog): (barks loudly) Hey! What are you doing? Talking to a cat? Ezran 2Go (dog): You'll never get away with that! Elizebeth 2Ge (puppy): We're just playing... Ajah 2O (kitten): Hi! Vincent 2Go (dog): Get away from our puppy! And stay back! Ajah 2O (kitten): But... Mahlee 2Go (dog): Here comes the leader of the pack! Top Dog (Logan S 2Go) enters and takes away the ball. Logan S 2Go (top dog): I'm in charge here. Don't worry, Puppy. No need to fear! The cats have noticed the commotion from the other side of the tree. Ahriyah 2M (cat): Kitten, hurry, get out of there! Sophia 2M (cat): It's not safe! Those dogs will bite your hair! Ajah 2O (kitten): But why? Nolan W 2M (cat): Don't argue! Just hurry! Jordy 2Go (dog): Move it, cat! I'll make you scurry! Jordy 2Go barks and chases Kitten (Ajah 2O). Salwa 2M (cat): Here comes our fearless leader! Mira 2M (cat): He always comes when we really need him. Nolan G 2M enters. Nolan G 2M (king cat): Who let that dog out? Who? Who? Who? Who? ALL CATS: Who let that dog out? Who? Who? Who? Who? Ajah runs to the other side of the tree. Cats surround Ajah for safety. True 2Go (dog): And stay out! (waves fist) Avery 2Go (dog): Haha! What a scaredy cat! Liv 2M (cat): (to Kitten Ajah 2O) Ahh, don't pay any attention to them. They might give you a fright... Mira 2M (cat): Yeah. But their bark's worse than their bite. Ebeneezer 2M (cat): But see that tree? (Kitten Ajah 2O - nods) Just be sure you stay on this side of it. Sophia 2M (cat): You'll be safe over here. Just take our word for it. Cats freeze. 7 P a g e
Tyson 2Go (dog): (to Puppy Elizebeth 2Ge) Now, just what do you think you were doing over there? Elizebeth 2Ge (puppy): Playing. Tyson: 2Go (dog) With a cat? Are you crazy? A cat's worse than a bear! Hudeyfi 2Go (dog): We don't play with cats! And that's a fact. Tate B 2Ge (dog): Yeah. She's from the wrong side of the tree. Muntaha 2Ge (dog): Those cats over there have always been our enemies. Eva 2Ge (dog): Here's some advice, from me to you. We never play with cats that's always true! Elizebeth 2Ge (puppy): Why not? Rylan 2Ge (dog): What do you mean, "why not"? That's just how it is. Harper 2Ge (dog): It's what we were taught ever since we were kids. Madeline 2Ge (dog): Yeah, if you play with cats, you'll be in the dog house. Elizebeth 2Ge (puppy): I don't understand. Savannah 2Ge (dog): There's nothing to understand. We chase them, like they might chase a mouse. Vera 2Ge (dog): We're supposed to fight like rats and logs. Elizebeth 2Ge (puppy): What? Ben 2Ge (dog) She means we're supposed to fight like cats and dogs. Elizebeth 2Ge (puppy): But why? Dogs freeze. Kaiden 2M (cat): (to Kitten Ajah 2O) Because it's always been that way. You have to trust us, okay? Ajah 2O (kitten): I don't understand. Ahriya 2M (cat): Look, kid. It's a dog-eat-cat world. I'd rather have fleas. Siham 2O (cat): You're just too young to understand. Listen to us, please! Lily 2O (cat): Just take our word for it, Kitten. Stay here or you'll get bitten. Gabe 2O (cat): It's our job to teach you the way things are. Ajah 2O (kitten): But that puppy was nice. Addison 2O (cat): No, he's not! He'll chase you, like how we chase mice! Eldin 2O (cat): If you try to play with him, he might chase you up a tree. Nolan G 2M (cat): I'm the one in charge here. So listen to me. You're not allowed to talk to dogs, or play ball, or play tag. Merjem 2O (cat): Or else you might wind up in a doggie bag. Zach 2O (cat): All dogs are no good! Stay away from them! Nasro 2O (cat): That's just the way that it is! ALL CATS: Yeah! 8 P a g e
SONG: THAT S JUST THE WAY THAT IT IS During the later part of the song, Puppy (Elizebeth 2Ge) and Kitten (Ajah 2O) sneak off together and begin to play with the ball again. None of the cats and dogs notice them. Puppy (Elizebeth 2Ge) and Kitten (Ajah 2O) are having fun. 9 P a g e

Logan S 2Go (Top Dog): Well, I hope that teaches Puppy the facts of life! Riley 2Ge (dog): Right! Now do you understand Puppy? (looks around) Puppy? Brooklyn 2Ge (dog): Puppy? Where are you? Puuuuupppy? All the dogs look around. ALL OTHER DOGS (ad lib) Here, Puppy! Come on, girl! Reese 2O (cat): I'm sure Kitten will understand now. Nolan G 2M (cat): I certainly hope so. Do you, Kitten? (looks around). Kitten? Fehim 2O (cat): Kitten? Where are you? Kiiiiiiiten? Here kitty kitty kitty! All the cats look around ALL OTHER CATS (ad lib): Here, Kitten! Where are you? Colton 2Ge (dog): Oooooohh nooo! She's not here! She's been...catnapped! All dogs gasp. Layla 2O (cat): Ooooh noooo! She's not here! She s been dognapped! All cats gasp. Nolan G 2M (king cat): (pointing at dogs) It's those dogs! Logan S 2Go (top dog): (pointing at cats) It's those cats! All dogs and cats make commotion barking, meowing, hissing, growling. Jack 2O (cat): Give us back our cat! Tate 2Ge (dog): We don't have your cat! Jack 2O (cat): We're warning you! You'll be sorry! Tate 2Ge (dog): You're the ones who will be sorry! Tate 2Ge (dog) and Jack 2O (cat) go back and forth: Oh yeah? Yeah! Oh yeah? Yeah! Oh yeah? Yeah! 12 P a g e
13 P a g e SONG: YOU LL BE SORRY
After the song, Kitten (Ajah 2O) and Puppy (Elizebeth 2Ge) see the two angry groups and run to the center in front of the tree. The cats and dogs are poised to fight, with paws (fists) in the air. Elizebeth 2Ge (puppy): Wait! Don't fight! We're right here! Ajah 2O (kitten): We're okay! Nolan G 2M (king cat): (runs to Kitten (Ajah 2O) Kitten! Did they hurt you? (turns Kitten (Ajah 2O) around, examining her) Ajah 2O (kitten): No! Of course not! Logan S 2Go (top dog): (grabs Puppy (Elizebeth 2Ge)by the shoulders) Are you all right? Elizebeth 2Ge (puppy): I'm fine! Logan S 2Go (dog): Good dog. (pats her on the head) Elizebeth 2Ge (puppy): We just wanted to play together. Ajah 2O (kitten): Nobody hurt anybody. Nolan G 2M (king cat): Why would you want to play with a dog? Ajah 2O (kitten): Because. We're friends. Logan S 2Go (top dog): Friends? A dog and a cat? Friends? Nolan G 2M (king cat): That's not possible. Elizebeth 2Ge (puppy): Why not? Logan S 2Go (top dog): It just isn t. Ajah 2O (kitten): But, we ARE friends. (takes Puppy s- Elizebeth s - paw) See? All the cats and dogs gasp. They shake their heads, scratch them, shrug their shoulders, and look confused. Elizebeth 2Ge (puppy): It is possible. And you can do it, too. ALL DOGS AND CATS: We can? Ajah 2O (kitten): (to everyone) Yes! (to Puppy Elizebeth 2Ge) I don't want to be your enemy. Elizebeth 2Ge (puppy): I'd rather be your friend. Kitten (Ajah 2O) and Puppy (Elizebeth 2Ge) give a high five. Kitten (Ajah 2O) sings to dogs, then Puppy (Elizebeth 2Ge) sings to cats. Then all cats and dogs join in. 14 P a g e

Savannah 2O (cat): Do you really think we could get along? Colton 2Ge (dog): I don't know. It's never been done. Tavian 2O (cat): Well, if Kitten and Puppy can do it, maybe we can, too. Ben 2Ge (dog): I guess it's worth a try. It's certainly better than fighting all the time. Addison 2O (cat): Really, there's no reason we can't get along. Ajah 2O (kitten): Sure, we're different. But so what? Elizebeth 2Ge (puppy): We could welcome our diversity. Maybe even...embrace it. ALL CATS AND DOGS: (in awe of the concept) Wooooooah. Nolan G 2M (king cat): That sounds purrrrrfectly wonderful! Logan S 2Go (top dog): We could share common goals and work together! Elizebeth 2Ge, Ajah 2O, Nolan G 2M, Logan 2Go: This is gonna be great! ALL THE CATS AND DOGS: Yeah! Layla 2O (cat): And I know just how we can get started! Layla 2O goes to the tree and starts to remove the vertical stripe/stay out sign) Eva 2Ge (dog): Good idea! She helps her remove the stripe/sign. Meanwhile, Nick 2Ge (dog) has made a new sign and gives it to Layla 2O (cat). Nick 2Ge (dog): Here! Reese 2O (cat): I will help too! (helps decorate/take down negative signs) Nick 2Ge turns the sign around for the audience and all the cats and dogs to see. It says "The Unity Tree." ALL CATS AND DOGS: Ahhhhhhh! (all applaud) Eva 2Ge (dog): From now on, things will be different. Layla 2O (cat): Instead of separating us, the tree will remind us. Vera 2Ge (dog): No more fighting like cats and dogs! Reese 2O (cat): No more hissing! Rachel 2Ge (dog): No more growling! Addison 2O (cat): We'll live together in unity! Logan S 2Go (top dog): In harmony! Nolan G 2M (king cat): In peace! Elizebeth 2Ge (puppy): United, we'll be stronger. Ajah 2O (kitten): United, we'll stand! All cats and dogs shake hands. They bark and meow happily. Nolan G 2M (king cat): Puppy and Kitten, thank you for showing us the way! Elizebeth 2Ge (puppy) AND Ajah 2O (kitten): You're welcome! Logan S 2Go (top dog): Hey! In honor of our new unity, why don't we decorate our Unity Tree? ALL: Yeahhhhhh! A few cats and dogs decorate the tree. 19 P a g e
