2 Explanatory Note Due to health issues it s with great disappointment that my complete loft of racing pigeons are offered for sale. Special Mention I would like to thank two great friends from Port Augusta, Fred Franks and Harold Grantham (and their wives) who have been so generous in giving me their very best birds. The birds have won two SAHPA first places and many certificates. To my flying partner and friend John Jarzabek, thank you for your support and company. Special thanks to Ross Chapman, Robert Dixon and Brian Hall who have all been great people to talk to about all things pigeon! Thanks to Willy Thiele who loaned me two birds that were crossed with mine and resulted in a family of magnificent racing pigeons. This family, which is only in its infancy, I am confident, will produce for those who seek them out. The flyers from Warrnambool deserve a special mention for their warmth, generosity and friendship. Other notable achievements are 3rd, 6th, 11th, 13th, 20th, and 21st SAHPA. Generally, I have been in the top 30 plus. I have won Club and Aggregate points in both North Suburban and Salisbury Clubs. My pigeons have won both YBC & SAD's in both clubs. They have achieved fastest velocity in the SAHPA for almost every race point on the North line of flight; these include Carrieton, Yunta, Hawker (twice), Parachilna, Broken Hill, Stirling North, Farina (twice), The Twins and Lyndhurst. I have also won Club Bird of the Year three times. 2 of 37

Graham had placed a small add on the SAHPA website that caught my attention and I made arrangements to have a look at his birds, was duly impressed and came away with four potential breeders. These birds paired in different ways immediately produced winners in the strong Hyde Park club and some finished high in the unofficial SAHPA results. This was a dream come true for a new flyer and gave me the encouragement to keep going. Over this time Graham was very helpful with advice on feeding, training and all of the management issues involved with racing pigeons. A mealy hen (Goodger x Godfather x Old Faithfull bloodlines) from the original purchases has bred five SAHPA certificates with four different cocks and has gone on to be my foundation stock hen with her son s & daughters now breeding on down producing club winners and Assoc placings. This line seems to cross well with Eitzen, Janssen, Van Loon and Meuleman strains. In more recent times Graham has been very generous with eggs from his top Association pigeons and I have had further success with his Grizzle family. When studying Graham s pedigrees it is evident that his matings are based on performance which in my opinion is the key ingredient for breeding success. 3 of 37
