2 MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT a) Applicant who has graduated Fiji Year 13 Certificate Examination (without scaling of marks) in the year 2015 and subsequent years with a minimum of 250 marks and pass (50 percent) in English, Math, Biology/Agriculture/Chemistry and any one from the following subjects such as Biology/Agriculture/ Chemistry/Geography/Food & Nutrition Technology/ Physics/Computer Science/Economics/ Introduction to Technology. b) Applicant who has graduated Fiji Seventh Form Examination (with scaling of marks) before the year 2015 with a minimum of 280 marks and pass (50 percent) in English, Math, Biology/Agriculture/Chemistry and any one from the following subjects such as Biology/Agriculture/ Chemistry/Geography/Food & Nutrition Technology/ Physics/Computer Science/Economics/ Introduction to Technology. c) The Applicants who have passed the Foundation Course with minimum of B grade (70% marks) in English, Mathematics and Biology or Agriculture Biology (Trade Diploma in Agriculture Unit) or Forest Biology (Trade Diploma in Forestry Unit) unit are also eligible. d) Applicants with qualification of Trade Diploma in Agriculture/Animal Husbandry/Applied Fisheries/Aquaculture with minimum of B grade (70% marks) are also eligible to apply for admission. e) Applicants with Diploma in Tropical Agriculture with minimum of B grade (70% marks) are also eligible to apply for admission. f) Applicants with Higher Education Diploma in Animal Health with minimum of C + grade (62.5 % marks) are eligible for admission in first Trimester of first year of the programme. g) Applicants with Higher Education Certificate in Animal Husbandry are eligible for admission in first Trimester of second year of the programme. All the units of Higher Education Certificate in Animal Husbandry except Educational Tour and Industrial Attachment will be cross credited with the units of first year Higher Education Diploma in Animal Husbandry. h) Applicants with Higher Education Diploma in Animal Husbandry are eligible for admission in first Trimester of Third year of the B.Sc. in Animal Husbandry programme. All the units of Higher Education Diploma in Animal Husbandry except Educational Tour and Industrial Attachment will be cross credited with the units of first and second year of B.Sc. in Animal Husbandry programme. i) Applicants with B.Sc. in Animal Husbandry programme are eligible for admission in first Trimester of fourth year of the Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry programme. All the units of B.Sc. in Animal Husbandry programme except Educational Tour and Industrial Attachment will be cross credited with the units of first, second and third year of Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry programme. j) Applicants may also be admitted to the programme who may not meet the requirement on the years of continuous education progression, but who are able to demonstrate their ability to succeed in the respective programmes on the basis of their maturity, work experience or prior learning. The Dean may require such an applicant to sit for any specific or general examination as a prerequisite for any such enrolment, or may restrict enrolment only to certain prescribed units that must be passed to progress further as per the UASR.
