Med., Unive. of Mosul Abstract A study was conducted to elucidate the prescence of Toxoplasma gondii antibodies in the serum of slanghtered cattle, sheep and goats in Mosul abattoir, from October 00 to March 00. Three hundred serum samples collected from (00) of each slaughtered cattle, sheep and goats. Serum samples collected from slaughtered goats show the highest percentage of infection by using latex agglutination test ( ) (%), followed by sheep (%),while the lewest percentage (%) was detected in cattle serum. For determination the kinds of antibodies in positive serum sameples, a modified latex agglutination tes ( M) was used. The highest percentage of was found in sheep (.% ) Followed by cattle (. %) and goats (.%). while the highest percentage of was found in goats (.%) followed by cattle (.O%) and sheep (.%). From the hundred serum samples were also collected from butchers (%) of them were respond positively to antibodies of T. gondii by using ( ). The percentage of antibodies among butchers was (.%) while that of the antibodies was (.%) by using ( M).
