EVENT REGISTRATION NUMBER (ERN) : Effective Jan. 1, 1992, all foreign born and foreign owned dogs that enter Canada for the sole purpose of entering CKC events will no longer require a CKC registration #, but will require an EVENT REGISTRATION NUMBER (ERN). The ERN number must be applied for within 30 day s of the first day of entering a CKC event. Forms to apply for an ERN will be available at the show. Or simply send a photocopy of the dog s registration certificate reflecting current ownership, with a written request for an ERN number and a check for $58.85 payable to the Canadian Kennel Club, Shows and Trials, Skyway Avenue, Etobicoke, Ontario. M9W 6R4 GENERAL INFORMATION 1. No entry will be accepted unless all particulars called for on the entry form are completed in full. Handlers and agents please note that the full name and address of all owners must be completed. Incomplete entries will be returned. Exhibitors must abide by errors made in entering their dogs regardless of how or by whom the entries were made. The show committee reserves the right to refuse any entry subject to CKC rules. 2. Receipts and judging schedules will be mailed as soon as possible after closing. 3. Telephone and telegraph entries are prohibited and will not be accepted, except in the case of a postal strike. 4. The Show Superintendent shall be in full charge of the show. 5. Entry of a dog cannot be canceled after entries have closed. 6. Entry fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, sick or excused by a Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee or because he is entered incorrectly. 7. The Portage Kennel Club will use due care and diligence for the welfare of the dogs and exhibitors but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of an accident or other misfortune to either dogs, exhibitors or patrons. 8. If becaus e of riot, civil disturbance or any acts beyond the control of the Portage Kennel Club, it is impossible to open or complete the show, no refund of entries will be made. 9. All dogs must be kept under control at all times. It is the responsibility of the owner/handler to clean up after their dog in all arena areas outside. An exercise area will be provided for dogs and it is expected that this area will be used. 10. Dogs should be in the show building one hour prior to judging of their breed. It is the responsibility of the owner or handler to have the dog at ringside when it is required for judging. Handlers are requested to report any absentees and have assistants at ringside if they are engaged elsewhere. Dogs not required for further judging may be excused. 11. The building will be open from approximately 6-10:30 pm the evening prior to the first show. It will open at 7:00 am and close at 10:30 pm each day of the show. Exhibitors leaving dogs in the building do so at their own risk. ******There is NO NIGHT WATCHMAN. Leave a contact # on your crate. 12. BY CITY ORDINANCE THIS IS A NON SMOKING BUILDING. This rule will be enforced. 13. An Official Show Photographer will be in attendance, however P.K.C. will NOT be responsible for any contracts made with the photographer.
