Retain your onfirmation and bring along to the show - mail opies will not be sent. MEASURE & CHECK IN INFO. FOR THIS CPE TRIAL Measure and hek in will start at 7:00 AM on Saturday and Sunday and 1:00pm for Friday. The general briefing will be at 7:30 AM and first runs will start at 8 AM. A general briefing must preede the first lass. Exhibitors not attending the general briefing will still be subjet to the terms & onditions set forth in said briefing. Neither the judge or host lub are required to provide details of the general briefing after it has been given. Running order is by atalog number, and exat groupings will be in your onfirmation. THERE WILL BE NO MEASURING OF DOGS AFTER JUDGE S BRIEFING BEGINS EACH DAY. 4 CPE trial rules shortened version: see the online rulebook at for registration info, Registering with CPE and further info on height ategories and rules. Jump Heights no dog will jump lower than 4 P-Card = Permanent Card: the lowest allowable Regular height a dog may jump in CPE. Measurement Regular (P-ard or higher) Veterans Enthusiast Speialist 8 or less over 8, 12 or less over 12, 16 or less over 16, 20 or less over 20, 24 or less over General CPE rules for entries/show site: Dogs must be at least 15 months or older the first day of the trial Blind (both eyes), lame, in season or aggressive dogs may not enter the show. The Club may hoose to exlude any of the above from the site. Dogs must be registered with CPE prior to the losing date of the trial, or by the trial date for Day Of Show entries. Registration forms are on the Forms page: Forms MUST be mailed to CPE and are proessed 2-3 times per week. CPE ID numbers are ed to legible addresses. Registrations an only be proessed from mailed forms. Dogs must be able to be measured at their first show. If a dog annot be measured, the dog annot run and no refund will be issued. Dogs within ½ of a jump height require at least one more measurement. When dogs reah their seond birthday, a measurement is required. All dogs must be measured at their first trial regardless of jump height. Only CPE Judges an measure dogs. Eletroni shok ollars are not allowed at ANY CPE trial training or bark. Handlers in all lasses are permitted to walk the ourse, without a dog, prior to the start of the lass. A warm-up jump shall be provided for all entered dogs. No relieving of dogs in the warm-up area. Dogs in the ring, leashes, exiting the ring Dogs shall run without anything attahed to its body. This is for the safety of the dog. This inludes no: ollars, stithes, wraps or any other item. The only exeption is a small barrette or rubber band to keep hair out of a dog s eyes. Leashes may not have anything (other than name/liense tags) attahed to them when used in the ring. Dogs may enter the ring on a ollar, quik release harness or head halti/leader. If prong ollars are allowed per the show site, they may not be used to take a dog into the ring. Handlers may not arry their leash with them on the ourse if done so, an NT will result. Exeption: Handiapped handlers that have a mobility problem in piking up the leash at the finish may put their leash in their poket the leash must be out of sight. Dogs must be under the handler s ontrol when leaving the ring or the judge may enter the run as No Time - NT. Training a dog in the ring during a run There is no training in the ring at a CPE agility trial. First offense will result in an exusal from the run. Further offenses will result in additional exusals for the day/weekend per the judge s disretion. This is for the safety of the dog. The following items are not onsidered training in the ring (also see FEO): Dog grabbing it s leash at the end of a run (if the run has not yet ended, the dog would reeive an NT) Asking the dog one for a sit or down on the table in the point games (asking more than one will be a delay of finish, 5 faults/points) The following items are onsidered training in the ring: Violating the 4 paw safety rule (direting the dog bak onto the ontat) Start line stay leaving the dog and going bak again to reposition the dog after the handler passes the plane of the first obstale (before the handler leaves the dog, repositioning or repeated ommands an be a delay of start) Putting the dog bak on the table in the point games While running on ourse The handler will diret the dog through the ourse without a ollar or lead. Food, toys, training devies (inludes fanny paks and leash attahments) are not allowed within 10 feet of the ring. Clikers, training whistles and squeaky toys are not to be used within distration distane of the ring. The handler may not arry anything that ould aid the dog in its performane. Exlusion: Handiapped/Differently Abled Handlers using a ane, sooter, wheelhair, et., to enable their progression around the ourse. The handler may use any verbal or visual ommands to diret the dog through the ourse. The Judge may assess a 5 fault penalty to elimination for any ommand that is not given in a sportsmanlike manner. Faults an be, but are not limited to: foul or abusive language, display of anger, extreme frustration or exessive harshness. If the fault is severe enough, the Judge has the right to exuse the exhibitor from the ring and / or the remainder of the trial. If exused from the trial, a report would be filed with CPE. 5 NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS The safety of the dogs is our primary onern. By entering this trial, exhibitors aknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport, and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all obstales safely. Entry fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, exused, or barred from ompetition by ation of the show ommittee. It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dog(s) and / or hildren. Any exhibitor whose dog(s) and / or hildren reate unneessary disturbanes or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the disretion of the show ommittee, be asked to leave the show site. In that ase, no refund of any fees paid will be made. No entry fee will be refunded if the trial annot open or be ompleted by reason of riots, ivil disturbanes, fire, an at of God, publi emergeny, at of a publi enemy, or any other ause beyond the ontrol of the organizing ommittee. Exhibitors are responsible for omplete, aurate, and legible information on the entry forms: illegible or inomplete entries annot be entered in the show. Any orretions requested by an Exhibitor at the show to jump heights, levels, ategory or lasses entered are subjet to a $5 orretion fee. This fee will be donated to a loal dog harity. An exhibitor that does not wish to pay this fee an hoose not to do so and the lub will then not be responsible for them being in the wrong height, ategory, level or lasses that may have been requested. Corretion to jump heights due to measuring in at a different height are not subjet to this fee. We urge all our exhibitors to arefully hek their onfirmations. Errors on either the part of the exhibitor or the trial seretary an happen. It is ultimately the exhibitor's responsibility to be sure they have a orret onfirmation by the final move-up date of a show. Ribbons will be awarded for 1st through 4th plaements. Dogs with NT [no time] are not eligible for any awards. WAG FACILITY RULES All exhibitors are subjet to ejetion for failure to omply 1. Respet all the grounds - pik up after your dog at all times- everywhere on the property. Please pik up all your trash and dispose of properly. Do not allow your dogs to urinate anywhere on the buildings, garbage ans, or planters 2. Obey all speed and parking signs. Driveway speed is 5MPH and will be enfored. 3. Be aware of your dog and your immediate surroundings. Dog aggression will not be tolerated No dog may be left tied up unattended - at any time. 4. Respet the agility equipment and all of the faility buildings. Do not use equipment not in use by lub. 5. If there are problems/issues with the faility, please inform a lub member and/or the faility owners. All hildren must be supervised at all times.
